Village baker is the great! I have worked at a few places over the last 10 years and all of them go to the original West Jordan location which is in my opinion the best location and best service because they are the original! The bread is great, love the sourdough. The chicken salad, the BLT, the grilled cheese are my favorite sandwiches. The chicken tortilla soup is slightly spicy, but not too hot and tastes great. I also like their creamy tomato is yummy. Their sugar cookies and other cookies are as good as home made and sometimes better. They are reasonably priced and I order from there for all of our work functions for well over 10 years. It's generally kept quite clean and these days that is sometimes hard to find. Rarely, does a restaurant take time to bake all of their products from scratch. This is what sets off Village Baker from the rest. The food is fresh, delicious, and served generously! I seldom grow tired of the menu. Most of all, those who work there are genuinely interested in helping customers have a great experience each and every visit. I love this place. So glad they have opened a second location in Sandy. Much more convenient for me. I ALWAYS get the same thing, so I can only comment on their chef salad. The lettuce is always crisp and the salad is loaded with yummy slices of ham and cheese, egg. The dressing is homemade. You are served a small roll which is delicious! read more

Walked in hungry, left disappointed. I've heard great things about Village Baker, mostly the one on Redwood. This one is a lot more fancy looking inside, but the food was disappointing, especially for the price. They were unwilling to warm up a sandwich, and when I ordered a roast beef sandwich because I wanted a hot sandwich, it was totally cold. Not warm in the slightest. They were out of sourdough at 4:30 on a Tuesday, but don't bother with the french bread roll for your sandwich. Your sandwich is essentially made out of two thin heels, which feels unsatisfactory when you're paying $8 for a sandwich alone. read more

I have eaten here about 5 times. Both times I was kindly recommend something (which I love when the people working care about you having a good meal that your about to pay for). I was recommend a South west chicken salad which was delicious and very well mixed with the perfect amount of toppings in each bite oh & a large portion with a perfect amount of dressing! I was also recommend a sandwich which I opted not to try and went with the egg salad sandwich, I love a good egg salad sandwich and that's exactly what I got! The pizza is a little too heavy for my liking but for someone who likes a heavy pizza it probably would do great! Tried the cinnamon , & orange roll which wasn't my fave but wasn't bad. Out of the 2 id go with the orange. maybe just ask if they can warm it up and I bet that would improve the experience greatly! This will be a regular for me when I want a good salad and sandwich. read more

Good food and fast service however don't come to this location if you need a high chair. We asked the employee where their high chairs were and she said, "we'll we only have 3 and one is missing." This was during lunch which was super busy so you might have better luck at a different time but seems a little crazy for them to only provide 2 high chairs for the entire restaurant. read more

The pizza tastes fresh, nothing outstandingly awesome but good enough. It was really crowded during lunch time, which may have been why they messed up our order. I think some of them don't know the difference between the village pizza and the baker's choice. So if you order the village one you're most likely going to end up with the baker's choice pizza. So take that into consideration when ordering. They did fixed it, which I appreciate, so good customer service. I may come back to try their soups, sandwiches or desserts. read more

I went there for the first time, food was good and the girl at the counter was amazing. The only reason I am giving it a 4 is the food didn't come out at the same time. The person in our party who ordered the pizza didn't get her food until 15 minutes later and the rest of us had finished. We had to share with her so she could eat with us. Egg Salad on Squaw bread for the win!!! The bread is about 22 times better than Cheesecake Factory brown bread. And that egg salad is 14 times better than your mom or grandma ever made it. read more

If you want great food come here. The sandwiches, pizzas, salads, desserts are all worth driving to this little place to eat. They have a few small places located throughout the valley, but this is my favorite. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious! read more

The bread here is ahhhhmazing! This was our first time at a Village Baker and we will definitely be back. We got a turkey & provolone on Honey Wheat, and a salami & cheddar on Honey White. I have pre-ordered rolls at the Sandy location for a special occasion four times. Now when you order rolls for an important event or a party of some sort, you need food catered or prepared on time and as ordered! I have placed these four orders over a period of 5 months and out of the four, they have failed me three times. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! When I went to pick them up there were NO rolls. After that, when I called to order I asked for a manager and emphasized that I had had numerous problems with there being a problem with my orders and asked them to please make sure that it was done correctly and on time... It definitely puts me in a bind when our event is to take place in 2 hrs., leaving me little time to figure out a solution to the problem. I can (maybe) understand this happening once???, but three times??? I am beyond giving them chance after chance. I'm done ordering from VB and will order from a more reliable bakery.
