10/10 each time! Best friend introduced me to this cafe and each time I've come in it's been a hit! Staff always welcoming and kind! Definitely recommend the California burrito with the spinach wrap! I love matcha and wanted to try their banana matcha without coconut due to being allergic and they were very accommodating and it was creamy and delicious!

We stumbled upon a true hidden gem -- Village Café -- and couldn't be happier! Their drinks are incredibly unique, blending unexpected flavors into creations that are absolutely delicious. Already craving another persimmon calamansi matcha! The staff are always so friendly, making every visit a pleasure. It's such a charming spot -- perfect whether you're a local or just visiting. Plus, they're open to the public, so everyone can enjoy this delightful find!

If you haven't tried their updated drink menu, you're missing out. The green Spanish hills has the perfect hint of pistachio. Cafe de Olla is smooth and so yummy. Recently tried the pumpkin horchata, delicious pumpkin flavor all year long! Don't forget to save room for some grub! Their breakfast bowls and burritos are always a go-to. My kiddo absolutely loves the Burberry muffins and we always have to grab a cookie or two, outsourced from Camarillo Cookie Babe. The owners are extremely nice and good people all around. Love supporting this local business.

I was in the area and decided to follow fellow Yelpers lead and check out village cafe. I had visited a few years back when it was under different ownership so was excited to give it a visit. I ordered the blueberry colada matcha since it's nothing like I've had before and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Oh literally said, "oh wow!" Wasn't expecting the blueberry and coconut flavors to be so present and fresh tasting. It was a bit on the sweeter end but very good nonetheless. I also ordered a danish and that sadly wasn't the greatest. It was a little too cold and hard. Service was friendly. The only issue with the shop is that in the short amount of time I was in and out ordering my drink, I left smelling like restaurant. You know that food/grease smell that sticks to your clothes? Yup, that one! I even stepped outside to wait for my drink and was still a victim. So bummed about that so hoping they can figure out better circulation for all customers, especially those like me who weren't even in there long. I will be back again in the future. Looking forward to giving their other drinks and food options a shot.

Really don't want to be writing anything too negative about a small business, so I will just say that Village Cafe is not really for me. I think the location, ambiance, and vibes are great, and maybe I would come back in the future to try the food because this place is popular and has so many people ordering food! However, the multiple times I've ordered a drink have been a miss for me. I've tried both a coffee-based latte drink and matcha latte drinks, but my main concern is just how sweet they are. For the matcha, I ordered a melon honey matcha, which sounded delicious, and other Yelp reviews seemed promising because of the bright and vibrant green matcha flavor. It was visually a beautiful drink, and I could taste the real pieces of melon used in the syrup, which was wonderful. However, the drink itself was so overly sweet that I could not taste any matcha flavor. Similarly, the coffee drink's sweetness dampened the flavor of the coffee. While I personally don't think I would come back for coffee unless with a group of friends, I think this place is a charming addition to the Camarillo cafe scene, and I would be interested in trying out the food!

Second time coming here and once again I am blown away! Went with the Camarillo burrito with chorizo and it was delicious. The chorizo is not that red/greasy stuff you find elsewhere which made it better. Also tried the overnight oats and those were just as delicious as the burrito. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try I know you won't be disappointed. The staff is also very friendly and attentive.

~ COZY VIBES, CREATIVE DRINKS, AND BREAKFAST THAT HITS THE SPOT ~ Village Cafe is a cozy little hidden treasure in Camarillo, small, quaint, and full of charm. I've been searching for a place nearby that serves real ceremonial matcha, and I couldn't be happier to have found it here. Not only do they make matcha right, but their latte menu is full of unique, creative flavors you wouldn't expect to find in a small-town café. Every drink I've tried has been amazing, especially the coconut banana matcha latte. While the drinks are amazing, the food holds its own. The breakfast burrito is huge and packed with eggs, bacon, potatoes, avocado, cheese, and pico, with a side of their delicious house-made salsa (yep, they sell it to take home, too). Their menu also includes pastries, brunch bowls, sandwiches, soups, and even ice cream for a sweet finish. The cafe itself is bright, fresh, and inviting, with lots of natural light and thoughtful touches that make you want to stay a while. You can feel how much the owners love their community, and the service is every bit as warm. A big thanks to Alexia for greeting us with a smile and making the whole experience that much better.

I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito on my way to church one morning, so I started looking up places that had good burritos in the area and stumbled upon the Village Cafe. I decided on the Camarillo burrito which has a choice of meat so I chose bacon, but there were other options. I was in a bit of a hurry so I called ahead to order and I asked them to split it in half since I was sharing with someone. Once we got there 10-15 minutes later, the burrito was all ready for us and was split in half as requested and the person helping us was very nice. My sister ordered a coffee so while we waited for that we ate our burrito. There was not much seating inside and it was all taken so we ended up sitting outside on like the wide raised area of the walkway leading up to the cafe. The burrito was VERY good, exceeded all expectations. It was nice and warm and the cheese pull was immaculate. It even came with a little fruit cup on the side which was very nice and was plenty of food to share. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu, and I especially need to try one of their bakery items as they all look so good!

Came on their first day and options were very minimal and no coffee's. I threw some suggestions and the owners were beyond humble and the sweetest people ever. Came back now months later and just seeing this business blossom is so amazing. From the various options of to go snacks, deserts, iced coffees, hot coffee and matcha, also food options. Waow! I was so overwhelmed in a good way how everything looked. I did try 2 of their iced lattes and their beignets. It is located in the middle of a hidden area at village at the park. Surrounded by palm trees, homes, and a beautiful location. Plenty of parking just in front of their cafe. Seating inside and areas to sit outside... Staff is so friendly and welcoming and very supportive of businesses surrounding them. They are truly there for their community. Pricing is fair. Anything ranges from $7-20 which is good for what they offer. Great ready to go options as well. I got the salty pistachio pop which was delicious and my favorite by far. The white rabbit is just the perfect hint of coconut. the beignets were good wish they were less thicker and less chewy but still good. Will be coming back!

Always excited to support new locally owned business! As soon as I walked in Diego greeted me with a "Good Morning" and Alexia with a " Let me know what interests you!" Both happy and with a smile on their face. I really appreciate being acknowledged like that :) The little things that matter , you !? I got the Cali Burrito rolled up on a wheat tortillas. I think don't like wheat but I did ! Yummy . I would like it even more if grilled a bit once rolled up for a bit of texture. The burrito is filled with eggs, bacon, potatoes, avocado and pico! Yum! Comes with fruit , salsa and sour cream. Cost around $17 with the prices of everything- I get it. I love that it's more bright in there . Clean spot with plenty of natural light . The previous owners had the place looking dark. Great window art too by a local artist. I can tell the owners love what the do. They are so happy to be in our community! They sell their homemade salsa! They have weekly specials . I will totally support . Alexia said they are working on having specialty coffees soon . Soooo exciting !

The menu is super customizable, which is perfect if you're not into typical breakfast plates or just want things your way. Everything comes out hot and the flavors are both classic and unique. The Eggs Benedicts are a must, especially the Baja-style version with chorizo, avocado, and that smoky chipotle hollandaise (drooling thinking about it now). The bacon sriracha burrito is flavorful without being overly spicy, and the chicken fried steak is tender, comforting, and exactly what you want it to be. Do NOT skip the mojo potatoes or the hash cake, they're both top-tier sides. Food is definitely the star here. In our experience the drinks are just OK. The lattes don't quite feel like cafe craft quality, but they do the job. They do a good cup of regular ole joe though. Service is friendly, welcoming, but not efficient. The staff tries their absolute best, but if you're in a hurry you'll need to waive them down each and every time. Weekend waits can be as long as 45 mins to an hour with you constantly having to check in on your status, guess that's a good thing! I figured we would get something that I could tolerate and it would be okay - generic dining. I did not expect to actually have something to write about. But I was wrong. The grilled chicken they serve with the Chaufa is very nicely seasoned. It is bits of breast meat, grilled with a little char and adds depth to the otherwise mild flavor of the rice dish. My husband had Chaufa with shrimp, which I didn't sample but he ate the entire meal without complaint. We ordered the pork belly bites to start. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I enjoyed this appetizer so much that I know I will order it again. If I have the chaufa again, I would definitely have it with the pork belly. I ordered the lemonade and was puckering in a good way. Honestly, it tasted more like limeade than lemon. I was happy it wasn't too sweet because I could really enjoy the refreshing citrus flavors. I would go there just for a lemonade. They serve it icy cold in mug style, mason jar glass. Our friend ordered the iced tea and when it arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by the look of the fresh fruit in the clear glass, frosted over from the cold and ice. So nice. He said the herbs and fruit were a good combination. The wife of the owner waited on us. She is understated, friendly and efficient. We didn't have much of a wait as it looked as though we might have just missed the breakfast/brunch rush. I was impressed with how quickly we received our food. If we hadn't just eaten there a couple days ago, I would have gone to Azafran for dinner tonight. In my culture, the first meal of the New Year sets the tone for the year - as in a fulfilling, enjoyable meal means you will have a fulfilling, enjoyable year. I'd like to thank Country Harvest for setting that tone for me with an absolutely delicious breakfast, the charming atmosphere, and the delightful staff - including Gloria, the manager. Everyone there was efficient and I enjoyed hearing one of the employees singing while he worked. Country Harvest not only provided generous portions (I had a hard time eating it all!) and a variety of teas to select from, but the food was cooked to perfection, and the service was top drawer and fast. On top of all that, they gave me a senior discount, which was much appreciated. I had just left Denny's where I had paid for a tea I didn't even get to enjoy, due to being ignored after waiting about 30 minutes for someone to take my order - after they were taking orders for those seated after me and made me aware they knew I was still waiting - but still did not take my order. Then one of the Denny's employees was actually smug about it, saying when I went to the register to pay for the tea, "Hey...it happens sometimes," while grinning as if it was funny. It remains a mystery if he ignored me because I am a senior, I was not of a background he liked, or he didn't think my one meal would give him enough of a tip, but he was unprofessional and he made sure I won't ever return to Denny's. I do thank him, though, because if he hadn't been such a jerk, I wouldn't have gotten frustrated enough to leave and try to find a place where I could have that good first meal of the New Year - at Country Harvest. His rudeness led me to finding Country Harvest and I am not at all surprised that your restaurant was busy on New Year's Day and Denny's wasn't.
