Interiors looking pretty dingy these days. Since they don't have customers they might take time to clean.

We used to come here quite a bit before the pandemic. It's gone way downhill. Everything's dirty and the wait staff is rude and loud. I think it's going to take a house cleaning to fix this.

We regret not stopping in for the last 2 years! From the moment we came through the door, every staff member has been friendly with a smile. Our server, Serena, was exceptional. She added to our already great dinner experience. We had the lemon chicken dish, but without the pilaf, and subbed another vegetable. They ser e fresh green beans, which is our weakness. This dish was such a pleasant surprise! The chicken was quite perfectly cooked, the toppings grilled and went together so well with the lemon sauce. Lemon wedge squeezed finished it just right. Such a simple dish of chicken, spinach, artichoke heart, and tomato ... done well, it is hard to beat. We will come back for that dish again, if nothing else. We live a keto meal plan, so didn't try their many pies this time. The manager was talking really loud to the kitchen staff .... to tell them how well the dis this shift, and encouraged them. Big points from us. Another served was sweeping the carpet nearby ... when she got close to us, she stopped and asked if we minded her sweeping nearby!! We were thrilled at that, most never even acknowledge diners ... of course we didn't mind (food not there yet). Give it a try. Your meal may not be as amazing as ours, but you got a really good shot at a good meal at a fair price.

Always quick and great service. My go-to place to eat in Springfield. Who can pass up Free Pie Wednesday??

I had never been to a Village Inn and thought I would try this location for lunch. I chose the Turkey dinner with a side of cole slaw and was a little surprised when it was served. The person who dropped off my food wasn't the waitress that I had ordered from. The turkey slices were chopped up into tiny chunks and mixed with the cornbread stuffing. The coleslaw wasn't delivered with my meal. When my waitress returned she asked if I had gotten my coleslaw and I responded no. I decided to switch to an order of mashed potatoes instead (I thought this came with the turkey dinner, but was told no). The food tasted fine, but the service was disjointed... at one point my waitress brought me a glass of iced tea and then another server brought me another within two minutes! It was free pie Wednesday when I dined here, so I got a free slice of pie... I chose Cherry pie and it was good and a nice way to finish my meal.

A 6 oz stake that is supposed to be medium and this was so bad that the manager would not eat it but served it anyway

Every time I order breakfast it is so amazing... but DO NOT order the stake the manager said he wouldn't eat it but... yet her served it anyway omg!!!!

Won't go here again. Manager was condescending. Service poor. There are plenty of other places in Springfield to eat.

Well let the clean napkin that was brought to me tell the story. Blood stains on it.

We were pretty much immediately greeted and told that we can sit where we'd like. We found a table and had a seat. The waitress took our drink order and went to go do her thing. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes later she came back with our drinks at last. I always hate eating dinner at places that are primarily a bar because the service is usually terrible and that's pretty much how it went with our visit. 45 minutes after ordering our food , we were still waiting on it, even our appetizer, and our drinks were in a constant state of needing a refill with the waitress nowhere to be found. I planned to have a couple mixed drinks while I was there, to try some different things, so they literally lost money by not coming back to the table to check on us. I didn't have the opportunity to order more drinks. The food finally arrived. My sad potato with chicken was nothing special and was pretty small for the price. My husband didn't like his food. I can't recall what he got. The manager was nice when he swung by, but by the time he came, the damage was already done. The whole visit was disappointing. We won't be back. This place really hasn't changed from what it was before they changed names and ownership. It was disappointing before and it remains so.

I will not drag the competition, but Dublin's Pass was the clear winner. I won't use specifics, but you get so much more bang for your buck, purely from a financial aspect. Let me first say, the eggs arrive on a plate with a light breading that adds the perfect balance of crunch yet balanced with the soft egg. All brought to you with a mustard that is the perfect combination of pickled veg and punchy mustard. The meat was cooked perfectly. The combination between the meat, egg and mustard marry one another beautifully to lend to a flavor roller coaster in your mouth. What really sets these Scotch eggs apart is the attention to detail. They taste like they are meant for a flavor rollercoaster. Each element feels intentional. Whether you're a longtime Scotch egg lover or trying one for the first time, this restaurant sets the bar high. Simply put: these are the Scotch eggs other places should be aspiring. Eggs aside, we also had an order of the boneless wings. Not a hard thing to get right, but we had roasted garlic parmesan with garlic aioli, to die for. I am from out of town, and this place is absolutely a must. It will never not be on to do list.

Right off the bat, I was greeted by very friendly staff who were keeping busy during the slow opening hour by watering plants or restocking the bar. I decided to head to the bar backed by the very friendly Karlie. Started off with the Scottish eggs, and they came out piping hot and fresh with a side of spicy mustard. The combination of savory sausage flavor, sweetness of the deviled egg, and a dab of spicy mustard made these starters absolutely worth the choice but could almost be a meal itself! Going further along with the Irish setting, I also went with the original cottage pie, loaded of course, and hands down it's the best pie I've had. The beef, gravy, vegetables, and potatoes added with the garlic mashed potatoes and pie crust was absolute bliss. Again, piping hot from the oven with that perfect mix of soft and crunch from the crust was perfection comfort food. Paired with a Guinness, this is as close to heaven as one can get during work's hour lunch break. The bar area started filling up with the lunch crowd towards the end, but Karlie expertly managed all of it with ease, remaining attentive to the gathering crowd while multitasking between taking food orders and serving as well as bartending. This masterful combination of service, atmosphere, and great food is hard to find around Springfield, but Dublin Pass nailed it while making it look easy, making them a highly suggested stop.

Our order came out quickly, the food was hot and portions were far too much! She kept our drinks full and offered to go boxes. As I stated there were 7 of us and we had full plates and all had sodas and the total was under $90 we would have spent $90 to eat at McDonald's. I would recommend this place! The place isn't fancy looking, definitely no frills or fancy decor. But if you're looking for a good meal and a good portion at a decent price, try this place!! I hope you don't get our first server with the nasty attitude and excuses for her behavior! I would have given this place 5 stars had we not encountered her. I wanted to be honest with the review. 5 stars w/o the hateful waitress, just judging our experience and food and the second waitress. Enjoy!!
