The food and the service was terrible. The ambience was typical Village Inn. Armando was our server and he did not seem to get anything right. He could not even stay at the table long enough to get our full order. He just walked off. He gave me the wrong pie to go. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and instead of having teriyaki sauce, they just gave me plain soy sauce. Armando said he poured it out of the bottle. I don't care what bottle he poured out of, It wasn't teriyaki sauce. So I had teriyaki chicken with no teriyaki sauce. That's ridiculous. He did not care. Honestly, I don't think he should even be a server if you want to know the truth. He seemed very gruff and crabby. I ordered the banana pie and the bananas were spoiled and rotten. The whole pie tasted horrendous . They should not even be serving something that far past its prime. I had such a bad experience. I don't think I will ever return to this location of Village Inn again. Poor service, spoiled food, and nobody seemed to care about making it right. read more

I want to start this off by saying I absolutely love Village Inn! Just any other location but this one... My husband and I recently went here for a date, but quickly realized that it was a mistake. We were seated relatively fast (I'll give them that) but the service that followed after that was an absolute nightmare. We were treated poorly, don't know if it was due to our appearances or whatever; regardless that kind of behavior is unprofessional. We ordered and the waitress (couldn't get her name) brought our drinks over and just kinda slid them on the table and walked away. She checked on everyone else there BUT us. 10 minutes go by and she finally takes our order. The food came in a timely manner, but my husband got something he didn't order and she gave attitude when she had to replace it. Not once during our meal did she come to check on us, but she was very attentive to everyone else around us. Never refilled our drinks either. The food was decent, but we felt like some of it wasn't cooked properly; I also found a hair in my pancakes. All in all, this location sucks. As I mentioned before, I love Village Inn, but if they're going to have servers who genuinely don't care about their job or serving customers, they won't be around for much longer. read more

This was my first time to a Village Inn. My boyfriend brought me here since I am new to town. The pie selection was divine. And the service was stellar!! Paige was a doll and so sweet! I could not decide which pie to get so I got two slices - one strawberry rhubarb (with ice cream) and caramel pecan silk supreme. I rarely see these types of pies most anywhere else and I lived in the South a lot. Both were so good!! I would def come back here. read more

We had a wonderful server (Dulce) and were seated immediately. They have an incredible deal--a build your own V.I.B.--you can choose 4 menu items from a list. I've been to Village Inn quite a few times in my life and I can say nothing but great things about the service. Specifically Garrett, Paige and Sam. Garrett is hilarious and attentive. Paige is nice and consistent. Sam is polite and friendly. AJ (host) is very outgoing. Overall, you got the dream team here. read more

Well I can't review the food because we left before our waters arrived to the table. My elderly mom and I went in and there was nobody to greet us. We waited a bit then since there was no sign saying please wait to be seated we sat ourselves. After listening to another table complain about service a server came over and asked what we were drinking then asked if we had been seated. I told her we hadn't been greeted so we sat and she said "well you do have to wait", At that point we realized they did not want our business so we left. read more

Me and two girlfriends met for lunch at noon today. Food was very good but just as we were finishing, the employee at the cash register decided to mop the entire entry way floor with a very strong disinfectant. Two of us have asthma so we had to cover our faces and run out of the building while the third person made payment for all of us. We feel sorry for the customers still eating lunch with that toxic smell. Plus, the floor was all wet and we were trying not to slip and fall. Apparently there is no manager on duty to advise mopping the floor with a toxic cleaner is not in the best interest of customers!! read more

Been here a dozen times, and will keep coming. Kids eat free night + arts and crafts is awesome for small kids.

It's not bad. Got the breakfast meal and it was pretty good. My only gripe is that my grits came uncooked so it was like eating a bunch of tiny hard beads. Had to spit them out. Also, some of the sides are very tiny and come in small condiment to-go cups. Next time I will probably order a non-breakfast item like the BLT or club sandwich. read more

We were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us promptly and got us our drinks just as quick. After ordering our food came out shortly. Food was delicious and we were consistently checked up on by our waitress who made sure we were doing alright. One thing to note, my water glass was never refilled, which was a shame. We used to be regulars, came in today during Sunday rush yay! We almost got skipped in line, the hostess was adamant when my husband went over to correct ourselves from being left out from the list. Listen I know what it's like to do a Sunday rush, but we didn't appreciate the little come back the hostess and the server had for us in store. After getting our food we had to dance around to get the servers attention (it never happened we couldn't get our check for the love of god lol) I don't mind never getting checked in on how our meal was, although we found it quite funny thank you for the laugh, I had to send out my husband to see if he could pay the tab by waiting infront of the register, that's when the hostess made a point of ignoring him twice while I waited for the server to come out only for him to turn back to the kitchen from one end or the other of the two entrances checking up only to the people seated around us (our table was in the awkward center) I FINALLY get the hostess's attention after I offer my table to the nice lady who wasn't very happy about the small booth she was being offered, all of this crap while I'm trying to keep my two children under 5 calm enough until we can leave. Thank you for the nice little retaliation, I didn't think I'd have to juggle around my servers and hostess's complicated emotions to just feed the family. read more

Being new to Colorado me and my wife decided to try this place since we've never eaten here before. At first glance this place looked like it tried to copy Dennys based on its general look and menu. We went there around noon and had a short 5 minute wait before we were seated. The booth had tears in the seat cushions on my side and we were greeted by flies sitting on the blinds in our window as I presumed they were waiting until our food came. The disturbing part was the flies didn't bother us which made me believe they have been there for some time and wait for actual food meaning they are conditioned iffy enough. Any that's besides the point, my wife and toddler son got grilled cheese and I ordered the American double cheeseburger. All of us got fries as a side, which was somewhat disappointing because it's like they made one portion of fries and just divided it amongst our 3 plates. I think I counted I got 11 small fries on my plate. My burger was super greasy to the point where my bun crumbled away and it made it hard to eat, the burger itself was kind of bland and lacked seasoning despite having two types of cheese. My wife's grilled cheese sandwich looked pretty big but did taste that greats not to mention the sides were overdone. The only positives I'd say was the waiter was somewhat responsive to our refill requests and my sons strawberry lemonade was pretty good because it has real crushed strawberries in it versus some commercial style drink. For the 50 bucks we ended up pay (included 8 dollar tip) I wouldn't recommend eating here again. Seemed like a good concept but poorly executed food. Your better off spending $30 at McDonald's and saving $20 bucks unfortunately. read more

We went to Villiage Inn off 395 W 120th on Friday May 6th. We sat for 15 mins until the waitress got to us. She then took our order. We waited an hour and 15 mins for a skillet, french toast and an egg ommlet. My hubs ordered the skillet with no onions. It had pretty much a whole onion on it. He told the server, she took the plate to send it back. My hubs said no but she did anyways the pancakes it came with were burnt. My cheese ommlet sucked. The cheese was so hard I couldn't cut through it and my toast was burned. Didnt eat that either. My hubs told the waiter he wanted to speak to the manager. He was the cook also. He wouldnt come out to speak with my hubs. So the waitress had to take off the entrees. We will never go back again. Rude and short staffed. The manager should of closed for the night because they had a full house of pissed off people. read more

Not all that pleased with the quality of the food, nor with the slow service here. Glad to be seated quickly, but not happy to wait over 30 minutes for a meal. The "country potatoes" taste like what they serve a diabetic (NAS) no added salt patient. They were bland, dry, and not very pleasant. Asked for syrup when pancakes came out, and the server says (OK) as she walks over to take the next customers order. 5 mins later, I couldn't handle the wait! So I reached over the empty table next to ours and grabbed there syrup (found a solution) Improve service and quality of food and I'll reconsider the 1 Star. read more

I've been a regular at this restaurant for many years, and always been more or less satisfied with the quality of food and service. Unfortunately, a friend gave my wife and I a gift card that we wanted to use, but when we went to pay the "manager" stated that they had network issues and we could not use the gift card. This is all well and good, but she stated that it has been an issue for some time and we may never be able to use it. Our friend paid hard dollars for this gift card as a thank you to us for our help, and it is disappointing to hear this. More importantly, however, was the general attitude of this manager. She couldn't care less whether we ever visited her restaurant again or not. Retail relies on customers, and the most important customers are the faithful customers. They are hard to get! Turning a faithful customer into one that will never set foot in your establishment seems like a very unwise decision! read more

While service can be good, I've never had a good experience going here alone. slow service when I'm alone, but if you have 3-4+ people, it's always been good. This last time was it for me - waiting for 10 minutes, had another couple come in after me and put their name in. Waitress actually came up to the greeter (she was one that the couple had ASKED to have server them, guess that make me less important) and told him "I'll take the 2 top and you take the single" then proceeded to call them up (less than 2 minutes wait for them and I'm still sitting). They were seated and their waitress has already gotten tot hem to take their drinks and I'm still waiting. Never again Village Inn - this is the 2nd time you've done the EXACT same thing to me by taking someone else ahead of me while I'm in line waiting (and single). I like this location. The service is good and the servers are friendly. The food is what you expect from Village Inn and is consistent in quality. The pies are great, of course. I ordered one for my wife's birthday a few months ago. When I showed up a few minutes before my scheduled pickup time, I had to wait because it was still in the oven. I was impressed that they actually made them in the restaurant. My most recent visit was on a busy Friday night. I was looking at the key lime pie in the display place while checking out and commented I would have to come back for one of those. The manager gave me a slice to take home free of charge. I really appreciated that! One criticism is that I do usually have to flag them down if I want a drink refill, but the drinks are so big that's not an issue for everybody. read more

Place is a dump. The management here is horrible and reflects down to the servers and the host. All have a careless attitudes and are rude. The floors are all covered in food and the tables aren't bussed or clean so when we came in to eat they had to clean tables to just seat us. Food was burnt and cold. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

We've been here three times now and service has not been great. I don't actually blame the servers, I blame management. We were there today and Cheryl had 12 tables, with new customers still coming in. She was running her tush off, doing a pretty great job considering how many people she was taking care of, and the manager kept walking around looking lost. He didn't lift a finger to help her and even ignored me when I waved to ask him for a box. We experienced something similar last time we visited, with a different manager. I've been a server for a looooong time and you are only as successful as the team you work with. The food is decent but I do think their prices are a little high now. If you are in a hurry, this is probably not a place I would recommend because they do seem to understaff and if management doesn't help then there is only so much one person can do. read more

Stopped in for breakfast on Christmas morning. Food was poorly prepared. Ordered poached eggs. One was hard and broken apart and the other was a bit less hard but in one piece. Both served on a small plate so the presentation was not good. The other order was for askillet with scrambled eggs. The eggs were overcooked and dry. Complained to the manager who said, I'm sorry, I won't charge you for the pie. Really it was Wednesday the day pie was free. She had a very unpleasant temperament. Charged us $23.00 + for an unedible meal. Very surprised as Village Inn food is typically good and their restaurants professionally managed. Very friendly staff. I had dinner there tonight with a couple of friends. One had a French Dip, the other All American Burger. They were very happy with their food. I ordered the VIB. Cheese omelette was overdone. Bacon, 1/2 waffle and country potatoes were just fine. I ordered a couple of chicken strips as Chicken and Waffles is no longer a standard menu item. The chicken strips were very small, WAYYYY overcooked and had some kind of new batter that really did not go well with the waffle and maple syrup. On a Wednesday at 8:30 in the AM, they were very under staffed. Restaurant was not half full. The hostess/ manager kept saying 5-10 minutes to be seated when there plenty of tables in active sections. She could not keep up with seating in open tables and running the cash register. Me and my daughter have going to this Village Inn for years. Never had a problem. Saturday evening the waitress we got seemed out of it. People that came in a half hour after us where getting their food? When our plates came out it only had a half of a sandwich???? Why would I pay $7.99 for a half of a sandwich? She took it back that took another 20 minutes. My daughter by this time had finished her meal, and it tasted awful. I asked to speak to the manager he said " well that's why we gave you half so you could eat that while waiting for the other" what the hell! I'm probably over-rating the place, but here goes... We stopped here as tourists on our way to Denver's airport with too much time on our hands. We were not seated immediately, but it was lunch time two days after Christmas. Got a corner table. Our server was Rhonda. I have found that if you say something, anything, nice about the person (in most cases), they respond well. Told her I loved her name (thank you, Beach Boys) and she was really good to us. Scoured the menu and decided on each of us two having the Tomato Basil soup and a half sandwich. My wife got the "Grown-up Grilled Cheese" (four different cheeses with bacon (!) and tomato slices. I got the "Parisian Ham Griller" with razor-thin sliced ham, Dijon mustard, and Swiss cheese, topped with a little Parmesan and Swiss. We cut our sandwiches in half and shared. Well, I gotta tell ya, that was the best tomato basil soup I've ever had. But when I bit into the Parisian Ham, OMG! What an amazing blend of flavors!!! One of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life, Seriously, one of the best. The Dijon mustard really makes the sandwich pop with flavor. The Grown-up Grilled Cheese was almost as good, but the single slice of bacon needed a partner, but we both found it really good. And as for Rhonda, she couldn't have been a better server.
