The pizza is good. Real good. The service on our visit was not. Real bad. However, giving them some grace since they were covered up with the cornhole tournament players. The atmosphere is nice, but they are currently under going renovations. They have a patio area but this particular week in July - it was so humid that guests were all crowding inside. The restrooms were almost completely blocked by an employee making pizza boxes who was clearly annoyed that we wanted to wash our hands. All that said, the pizza was great! Not the wood-fired Italian pizza we find at our favorite sport, but a truly superb American pie - a classic staple for sure! We will go back and I look forward to updating this review (and enjoying another pizza soon). ** this pizza reheats very well too :)

    Great pizza!

First visit, came for some pizza. This restaurant is located in Vickery Village. The place inside is quaint and comfortable; they also have some outside dining. The pizza was fantastic! We definitely plan on returning. They have a full bar and about eight draft beers. They have drink specials depending upon the particular day. I noticed them serving drafts in different, yet appropriate drinking glasses all dependent upon what draft you ordered. Service was great. The general manager, Richard, also greeted each patron at their table. Looking forward to a return visit.

It's been over a year since my last review and visit. My family and I decided to give Village Italian another try a few weeks ago and think they deserve another star! We had a much better dining experience than our first one. We went on a Thursday evening and were greeted and seated right away despite not having a reservation. The place was busy, but not packed. Our server was wonderful and attentive throughout the meal. We ordered the following: Fried calamari Small pepperoni pizza Nonna's salad Caesar salad +salmon The calamari was cooked well and plenty for us to share. My son got the small pepperoni pizza which he devoured. I got the caesar salad with salmon and the hubs the Nonna's salad. Both salads had generous portions and were very filling. Glad we went back!

First time coming to Village Italian, had our family from Ohio visiting and thought would be a great place to go. The food wasn't bad but unfortunately our server Katie was. I had to ask 3 times for box with container for my food that I was taking home still didn't get it till my husband ask. We also ordered a pizza to go even though we had ordered food we ate at restaurant. After waiting over half hour with really no one in restaurant, good ole Katie asks "Are you waiting for something?" We say our pizza, she brings it right out...who knows how long it was sitting back there! Not good service at all, never checked to see if we need anything and really no one in restaurant except a couple at the bar. The inside did have awesome lights and plants on the wall. Food wasn't bad but unfortunately customer service lacked so much, won't be back.

    Birthday Dessert!!

Village Italian knocked it out of the ball park tonight. We celebrated our daughter's 17th birthday and we couldn't have asked for better food and service. Dale, our server, was simply amazing. The food was impeccable and the staff just great. We will definitely be back. You have to try this place. A real hidden gem!!!

Amazing, just amazing! This is our local Italian restaurant and we always enjoy dinner here. So, when I was planning our daughter's college graduation celebration, I gave my friend Nancy a call. The owner Nancy, was such a pleasure to work with and made planning our daughter's college graduation celebration a breeze. She offered the entire left side of the restaurant for our gathering which was perfect for our party of 40. And wow, she did a beautiful job setting up our pictures and decorations the day of the event! She suggested specific dishes and desserts to serve from oversized charcuterie board, to the various pizzas, to the pigs in a blanket (sausage), to the 2 types of wings, to the bruschetta, and the strawberry and cannoli dessert. And of course, my daughter enjoyed her favorite dish, the Bang Bang Shrimp. All the food was delicious!!! The constant care and attention to make sure we had what we needed throughout the afternoon, made it so easy to relax and enjoy all our guests. Nancy and her staff, especially Daniel our server, went above and beyond for us and everyone had an amazing time. Thank you so much! If you are looking for a great venue to host an event, I highly recommend giving Nancy a call. Top Notch Service from beginning to end!

The food was good but I would say just mediocre. Side salad was very small. Tomato sauce wasn't very flavorful.

We sat upstairs with a group of ladies playing mah jong which was cool to see. The host Gabby was nice, after greeting us we were seated in a booth and began looking at the menu. Our server was Taylor, who was friendly, helpful, and really good at her job. Never needed anything bc she was great! I started with one of their blackberry ciders, my brother got a sour. For an app we ordered a giant pretzel and it was delicious. Whole grain mustard and gooey cheese were served on the side. Hard not to want to eat more than one. For entrees I went with a Reuben with a side of tater tots. The Reuben was tasty, they shred the corned beef up so it's easier to eat, and you get consistent bites every time. Their 1000 island dressing is KILLER. It's definitely homemade and I ordered a side for my tots. Nephew got the salmon BLT with sweet potato fries, and my brother got the Philly cheesesteak with tots as well. Once he tried my suggestion of dipping in the dressing, he got a side as well. The GM Andrew came by and checked on us. Service level is great here, made us feel welcome and happy we were in here. Since I'm technically on the clock I had to head out after two ciders. I could see myself being here for hours, if I'm not careful. Support small owned businesses! Thanks to the team and especially Taylor for a great lunch today/

They do not brew their own beer (aka no beer flights) so not sure why they are called a brewery. This felt more like a restaurant. There were tons of seats, and it was very nice! The outdoor seating is downstairs (no elevator). The drink menu needs descriptions, not just names. The drinks we did have were great (strong & not overpriced). The old-fashioned had regular ice not the large square or ball ice like most old-fashioned. We did send the fish & chips back because the fish wasn't crispy. It was soggy & fishy. We did enjoy the house chips and atmosphere. We would give them another try.

Gasthause Tirol is an authentic German and Austrian restaurant. One look at the menu confirms it. Known for traditional German dishes like schnitzel, bratwurst, strudel and an actual Bier Garten with a nice selection of German beers on tap After perusing all the delicious looking menu items I went the Sample Plate. A Trio of tasty meats. Winer Schnitzel, Sauerbraten and Debrezina sausage some veggies and potato dumplings. What a tasty meal and the gravy was exceptional. The tall cold and very smooth Hacker Pschorr Dunkel was a delicious dark beer to complement the meal. All the desserts are homemade and I couldn't decide between the Apple Strudel and the mysterious Black Forest cake. The sever said the Black Forest was her favorite so I went with it. It surpassed all expectations. So moist and the whip cream was just heavenly. I was there for lunch but they do take reservations which is highly recommended for peak times.

Unfortunately, the service has consistently been incredibly SLOW, and this last visit was unacceptable. The restaurant wasn't busy at all--we were the first guests to arrive. In fact, I purposely planned it that way because I know the service is usually slow. We timed everything because it was so noticeable. It took about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Then another 5-10 minutes just to receive our drinks. Our server took our order and then completely disappeared. About 30 minutes later, she brought our sandwiches. She asked if we needed anything else, and then disappeared again. We finished eating in about 15-20 minutes, and after that, we waited another 40-45 minutes before she came back. From the moment she dropped off our food until we finally saw her again, it had been about 45-50 minutes. During that entire time, she never checked on us once. We had planned to order dessert, but by the time she returned, we couldn't wait any longer. We had to ask for a to-go box and the check because we were already running late. Looking around the restaurant, we weren't the only frustrated customers. One gentleman nearby was visibly upset as well. For three sandwiches, our meal took almost two hours. That's just crazy. It's simply not reasonable. It's disappointing because the food is excellent, but the service has become such a recurring issue that it's making us question whether we'll come back. A restaurant this small should be be able to provide a much better dining experience. I honestly can't think of a good explanation unless the server was also hosting, cooking, preparing to-go orders, or doing multiple jobs at once. I don't know what was happening behind the scenes, but something clearly isn't working, and they need to figure it out. The food deserves better service than this. My only advice is you're gonna go and have lunch there make sure you have at least a two to three hours

Our table slanted down a bit, and that was a little awkward but the benefit was that condensation rolled to the end instead of into our laps. Also my chair had two metal dog bowls underneath that made a racket whenever I moved the chair. Our server was friendly but over shared often. For my meal I had the salmon with bourbon glaze. It was cooked properly and had good flavor. The lettuce leaf under it was different; I think I could have done without. The fish came with my choice of two sides and I picked the green beans and the cornbread stuffing. Both were quite salty. The green beans were not very green and overcooked. There were two elbow macaroni mixed in. The cornbread was mushy and covered in gravy. It tasted fine, I just would have preferred more texture. Both beers were very good. I had a sour to start that was like a very tart pink lemonade. The pink color came from blueberries but I'm not sure I detected any blueberry flavor. My second beer was That Coconut Porter and it was mellow and smooth with good coconut flavor and nice dark color. There was lots of street parking and many shops and restaurants in the area. A band began playing in the taproom next to the restaurant at some time. Also a large outdoor space that was full of kids running around playing as I was going home. Looked like a fun place for everyone.
