We first discovered Village Ski & Snowboard when I went ski shopping with my friend who was told of the great service. I'm so glad I went along! Not only did my friend find the perfect pair of skis, but I did too! Greg really did a great job getting us both fit and the prices were reasonable as well! This is the first time I have bought skis since 8th grade, so I had a lot to learn about the new skis! Greg did a great job explaining everything and didn't try to put me in a ski that was more than my intermediate level needed. I was so satisfied, I returned the next day with my husband and youngest son to get them their own skis, too. Their needs were different than mine, and the guys did a great job getting everyone the best fitting boots and skis for their needs. Great dispute resolution. I brought my son in just to get familiar with skis and product. We met a great salesman who got us into some new and lightly used equipment for a great price. After trying to return goggles (I had found my motocross goggles) and a miscommunication with the manager, I was less than pleased. The salesman called us the next day and resolved the issue with tact and composure. I've been boarding and skiing my whole life, always try to shop in my community, my first experience was a little choppy at this establishment but the effort in resolving the problem demonstrates their awareness that customer satisfaction is what keeps businesses thriving. At the end of the day, any shop can fit you into equipment but caring about the customers experience separates the quality shops from the shops that only want your money then hustle you out the door. I went to this place to get new skis and boots. I am a new skier so I needed lots of help with all the decisions. I was helped by Greg and he was awesome. Greg was really helpful and patient through the entire time. He was not pushy at all and he really made sure I was getting a good package given my ability and objectives... I bought skis and boots on Thursday and they could be ready to go in 20 minutes. The other guys in the shop were also super friendly. It seems they all love ski and It was nice to chat with them about places to go ski. I went ski on Saturday and boots and skis fit and perform perfectly. Was looking to buy my first board and boots, and this was close to my gym so I swung by one afternoon. I feel terrible for forgetting his name but the dude who helped me get fitted for boots was AWESOME and super patient since my feet seem determined to be trouble. He spend a good three hours making sure the boots fit fine and didn't cause any discomfort and Even though I felt bad for taking up so much of his time he was super friendly a jovial the entire time. When I came in later to buy the board he helped me pick one for my needs and got me a really good deal (compared online later). Will be coming back for all my snow needs! read more

Extremely unhappy customer! Bought a snowboard for my son that turned out to be not a good fit for him. When I tried to return it (the next day they were open) - their only way to "make things right" was to sell me another board for more money. When I decided to just return it, they charged me a 20% restocking fee!!! I know this is their policy but they wouldn't budge on waving or even lowering the fee even though they mislead us into the purchase. Not good customer service in my book. read more

Best service! Everyone their is super knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. We rented skis through them for the season last year and this year for my 10 year old and 13 year old. I bought new skis and boots from them this year. They were extremely helpful and patient helping us with our skis. And when my 13 broke a ski on a hard fall on a ski club trip their first question was "I hope he's ok." They helped us replace the skis as inexpensively and quickly as possible....they didn't want us to have to rent skis at the mountain on top of everything else. Their August sale is a great opportunity to save some money. read more

They certainly know their products but some customer service aspects could use some work. We drove there from Westwood to rent skis for my son. At the end of the season my son and I returned them. It was a long drive for us. My son really need to use a bathroom at that point. I asked the sales person if he could use their facilities thinking they would accommodate a paying customer.. The associate was firm in stating they don't have a public restroom.. I get it.. my bad.. long drive, we should know better.. but give the kid a break. We just paid for our rental. After he gave this official response he has the audacity to try to do a sales pitch for a ski purchase over the rental program. Liquor store next door was very accommodating to my son.. and I bought a bottle of whiskey to show my appreciation.. you see how that works? I won't be going back to Village Ski. read more

Village Ski & Snowboard is the BEST ski shop we have ever purchased from. The entire staff is knowledgeable and above everything else, PATIENT! They do not pressure you in any way, but if you are purchasing, they do not want you to leave unless you are completely satisfied. I have a very difficult foot to fit, and I was pessimistic I would ever find a boot that was truly comfortable--but after many attempts, they found the perfect boot that I did not think existed. I traveled about an hour to the shop based on a recommendation from a friend since I'm new to the area. I have 30 years of skiing experience and had a custom boot fitting which I was extremely pleased with- THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE! Anyone that skis knows that a proper boot fit is key and these guys know what they are doing! My two kids and husband were also fitted. We worked with a couple different people and all were knowledgeable and very accommodating and patient- we spent over two hours in the store. Tried to return/exchange a snowboard bag within the time frame they posted and attached to my receipt which I also brought with me, then they refused to take it back because we removed the tags! It was a Christmas present for my daughter and never used - brought back within 2 weeks of purchase with a receipt.
