As long time members of Canyon Crest Athletic Club, we were so excited when Vim and vigor opened. Great facilities, very nice staff. Super friendly group. We signed up for an annual membership with an add on of three months of personal training. Bohdi our trainer has been great. He deserves 5 stars, as does the front desk staff. But--We only always intended to do the three months with a trainer--- so when the third month began, we explained that we were going to end our training. READ THE FINE PRINT EVERYONE . Never were we asked if we wanted to continue. Instead, we were told that "as it was stated in our contract", we needed to give 30 days notice, so we're obligated to pay for another month. "It works like every on line membership" I was told. Times two people-- Not an inexpensive charge we were not expecting. It's Already been charged. Sneaky way in our opinion to make money. As friendly as everyone is, It just would have been nice to have a courtesy check in before the additional charges. It's not like there couldn't be a prompt on the app asking if you want to continue ?? It would be good business. read more

So far, I have not been impressed by this place. I just called this morning to inquire about getting an inbody scan and I was told they didn't have any printer paper for it. I was told I could take a picture of my results but it wouldn't show everything that the paper would. When asked when they would have printer paper, I was told within a week! The place is literally located in a shopping center where paper can easily be found! Ridiculous. My other issues are their class offerings which I hope will get better since they are still new, but weekends and evenings need more options and there should be a way to cancel a class on the app. read more

I recently signed up with training sessions and have Carlos as my trainer. He has been amazing with my workouts and constantly is assisting me even when I don't have a session and need help with equipment. I am on my second month with him and have already lost 6lbs and he's even helped with showing me meals to help with the weight loss. What I really like is that he is always there to encourage me even when I want to give up. As a whole this gym has a new vibe from what it was before. The staff is amazing the management is amazing. The amenities that are now at the gym are amazing. read more

It saddens me that the owners of this otherwise decent gym will not fix the men's cold plunge for months at a time, despite many of us requesting it. That very clearly communicates the ownership's contempt for maintenance and their members. read more

I have been a member of this gym for 21 years. My family and I had a great time there. I was so happy even though I'm far from this gym but just because of the great instructors, ( Laura, Karen and Patti) and good environment I stayed there for a long time. The building is remolded but unfortunately the basketball court was removed, the schedule has changed with a new rule (sign in and getting ticket before going to any class) which is really annoying. The new schedule is not good. There is no Yoga in the evening, just one step class in the evening and just one class on Saturday. I've asked a few times to add more class for Karen but they didn't. I really missed the previous schedule and hope they will add more classes! read more

Gym is small so it's impossible to find open machines during peak times and don't even get me started on trying to find parking. Good luck trying to cancel your membership too. It's easier to catch a cold than to catch the manger in office and she's the only one capable of doing it. And even with calling the gym 3 times and driving the 15 minute drive up there twice I never received a single call back. Will not be coming back. There's plenty of gyms nearby with lower prices and better benefits! read more

When i tried to cancel, they were really good at getting my information to charge me, but not so good at letting me cancel. They allowed me to immediately pay, but not to immediately cancel and charged me an additional month due to their 30 day change policy. read more

Just wanted to give an update since the issue has been resolved. I took another chance with a different trainer, Donita and she's great. She is always on time and is very helpful. She's super encouraging and definitely won me over. Also the assistant manager did reach out to me and apologized for the bad experience I had the first time. Pilates, barre, and yoga teacher Sheree is amazing. She really cares about her students, gives you a good workout, and at the same time makes class fun. We are so fortunate to have such a quality teacher like Sheree here in Riverside. Seems like the really good teachers are always in LA or Orange County. Been going to the gym here for over 20 years now. They recently rebranded it to vim + vigor fitness. They did a great job utilizing the space. The current staff is great. I met Jason the first week they opened and he is extremely helpful. He was informative with all the new amenities and continues to be very welcoming and professional. Here to say this and this only: Yahaira Ramos, V&V's cycling instructor, is THE BEST!! Give this woman a raise immediately. She is so kind and approachable; I attended my first cycling class with her last week and upon walking in the studio I was met with a warm greeting. Not only that, she spent 5 minutes with me explaining the class structure and helping me set up my bike until it felt just right. Class itself was excellent - perfect amount of challenging rides without being overwhelming and the music was on point. Loved the disco lights too. V&V has one of the best with her on staff. I'll keep coming back for her classes for sure! read more

V&V is finally open! Though the wait was long, it was worth it. The entire place looks great. The locker room/showers are super nice. Everything is new and clean. There is a lot of new faces there but I'm also seeing a lot of my friends have come back too. There pool looks great and I'm looking forward to it and the pickle ball court. this gym is a nightmare. the staff is rude and charged me multiple times and created different accounts under my name in order to do so. this gym is a scam don't come here unless you want to loose all your money. it is also very dirty and ringworms spreads here. be safe go elsewhere read more

Canyon Crest Gym, fix your machines quicker. It feels like customers are getting the run around for a simple task such as, "How long will it take for the lifecycle upright cycling machines take before they are fixed?" Terrible facility for taking classes unless you want to do so in an 80 degree room with no functioning A/C and no open windows. We are now going on 7 weeks without AC in the exercise room where pretty much all women take classes. The other week I saw a heavy set woman with her hands on her knees bending over in front of one of the large fans in the exercise room. Sooner or later someone is going to keel over from heat exhaustion and then they will have a lawsuit on their hands. Management's response is that they are waiting for "specialized components" to fix the old A/C. This pretty much means that they are refusing to put in a new updated system and instead are letting their members suffer (while we all pay full price for our memberships) because they are searching for a part that no one can find because the system is so old. They knew that they were taking over an older building when they bought the place. Maintenance should have been included in their business plan. We never had such a lapse in A/C when the gym was under the Canyon Crest Athletic Club management. They actually cared about their members. V&V just wants your money and then doesn't bother to have a fully functioning facility. read more

I was a long time member of CCAC. I joined a different gym while this gym was being remodeled and decided to stay there. I received an email from Vim and Vigor letting me know that I needed to cancel my membership with them (now that they are finally open) by a certain deadline or I would be charged. I called well before the deadline, spoke to the manager and was assured that my membership was canceled, no problem. I was charged anyway for that month. I called again and was told the manager was unavailable and I needed to come in to cancel. I did this. I asked about getting a refund for the month that I was erroneously charged and was told I needed to talk to the manager and he was in a meeting and unavailable but I could come back yet again.....if you're keeping track this would be four times to contact the gym. I explained that I had already called twice, spoken to the manager on the phone in the first place and had now made a special trip into the gym as they required. I was told I needed to come in yet again if I wanted a refund for the bogus charge because, "You know, we don't actually have any proof that you ever really called to cancel." Ugh. If so, how would I know the name of the manager and the fact that I was told I needed to come in? It's not about the fee at this point but I feel this is very poor customer service. The gym looks nice but I'm glad I've switched to a new place. I'm still waiting for my refund..... read more
