Terrible service. A lot of attitude and no communication!! They would hop from customer to customer without completing a service. As for the pedicure, the massages were just them beating your leg. They also kept changing their prices. A very frustrating experience, that is supposed to RELAXING, for me to pay $180 for a pedicure and manicure. Never again will I return. I made an appointment, but when I arrived another group who did not have an appointment went ahead of me with the nail tech I had selected. Then, after my nails were filed down I was told they did not do hard gel even though I asked this question prior to booking my appointment. From start to finish it was a frustrating experience and my nails turned out terribly. The shape isn't what I requested, the acrylic is lumpy, and the nail polish is bubbly in certain places. To add to the experience, music with derogatory racial slurs was blasting in the background. I will never patronize this business again. I came in late July 5 around 6:44 and they said they'll take me for a pedicure. While they getting me ready for a pedicure. They ask me if I wanted my nails done too. Which I did and when I did respond it was a hesitant yes because it was already close to their closing time. So I was like nah it's okay I'll can come back tomorrow. I knew what I wanted would take time. But the lady insisted they can do it now. I am like okay whatever it'll save me time because I work a rigorous schedule. And before the started with my nails, I said if y'all going to rush it and not properly do it right then don't do it. So while she's doing my nails I see the older lady is rushing to find my nails sizes. And while she's in the rush the glue isn't sticking. She actually kept putting the glue on my skin which irritated and cause a burning feeling. I asked for power French tip nails short. I didn't receive that at all. When I was checking out, I told them that I'll come back the next day so she could fix my nails. But then the next day or 2, the shellaic on my toes were coming off. And that really unusual because shellaic meant to last longer. I know with French tips, especially when u get powder your nails aren't supposed to be showing like that read more

I love elaborate and blingy nails a la Cardi B and this is the only place in Houston I trust to do them perfectly every time! I'm in medical school and can only get my nails done like this twice a year (when I'm on winter and summer breaks), but I only go to Vina's Nails to get them done. This last time, Vina did my nails herself and she did them exactly how I described them. I had them on for three weeks and I got complimented on them Every. Single. Day. Everyone loved them! The shape and symmetry were immaculate. Four nails had crystals on them and even after three weeks NOT A SINGLE crystal came off (attached pictures for proof). I went to another salon to have them removed (Vina's is far from where I live and it's time to go back to school soon), and the nail techs there had a very difficult time getting the crystals off even with their acetone, drills, and other tools! That just speaks to how extremely well done they were by Vina- they were nearly indestructible. Additionally, the salon is clean and the prices are extremely reasonable for the service you receive. So after moving back to my home town a week ago, I found this salon and decided to check it out without looking to see what their status was on yelp. The Instagram photos is what made me drive from River Oaks and fight an hour and a half traffic to go to the semi hood! I get there and a lady that I don't think was Vina, helped me pick out a colored acrylic gel. I didn't want to judge a book by its cover based on what the salon looked like which was old and not good looking and thought for sure since the pictures of the nails I saw looked good, that they knew how to do really good nails. I knew right off when she took my red nail polish off that this was not going to be the nails I wanted. The lady left red nail polish embedded under my nails, on top of my nails, in between my nail beds and when I asked her to get it off, she still didn't do it right. She was going to put nail tips and light pink acrylic on my nails with red polish still left everywhere! Then I had to file my natural nails straight before she started putting tips on because she clipped them crooked, so I had to nit pick the polish still sitting all over my hands. Instead of stopping right there and leaving, I stayed and let her continue. She started the tips and literally put glue all over my skin and then she put the tips on crooked! If the tips are on crooked, best believe the acrylic will not fix that. The entire nail will look crooked. I was extremely irritated by now. I asked her if she could do a better job than what she was doing because I will be highly upset with my nails turning out bad. So by this time she has 4 tips on and then I'm guessing the lady named Vina walked over from a customer and said that she didn't feel they could help me because I was "too particular" and that I should have told her on the phone that I was "too particular". I didn't know that I had to ask someone if they do their job well enough to where their clients are happy. If she couldn't do perfect or near perfect nails, maybe she should've told me over the phone that she can't do nails that well and that she does them any kind of way instead of the right way, then I wouldn't have wasted my time driving an hour and a half to an outdated salon to deal with someone who doesn't take pride in their profession!! I'd never go to a place like this ever again. I don't understand how or why these people are in business. read more

Her work is excellent, but her time management is HORRIBLE. 3 times I have been there and with each visit I was not seen at my appointment time. I travel 1.5 hours to this location, and just as her time is valuable as a business owner, my time is value as a PAYING customer. Her policy: if late she will charge you a late fee, if she is late. What is it that you offer the customer? An apology? The best apology is changed behavior. The first time, "ok no problem..." that was my response the each time after that. This last time she was so behind that she did a super basic job on my nails, to be ready for her next client, that has been a customer longer than me. What makes her time more value than my time? I asked her to give me something creative, something no one else has, my hands are your canvas, my only request was an ANKH and EYE OF RA....she does just those two and begins to place the gel coating on my nails. Wait a minute Vina, I asked for your artistry to come out, let me be proud to spend over $50 dollars and 4 hours of my time (of which I could be working and making money) to be here. It truly sucks, because he work and quality is great, but she doesn't value your time as a client and doesn't offer a discount or even a drink while you wait, NOTHING...no compensation. I know the loss of one client doesn't mean much to her, which is even more upsetting, but I will no longer drive 1.5 hours to be ON TIME every time, just to wait 45 mins for her to start me, then rush me for the next person. I was so excited to get my nails done with Vina. I specifically made my appointment with her and it was not with her. She told someone else to do my nails and that she would do my design. I had to come back 3 times because within the first day my nail cracked all the way across, then a second time because of my stones. Then the third time to fix the crack because it was super painful as it was in my real nails! Today my entire finger nail came off and she was oblivious! I am so disappointed in the shitty quality of nails and the run around bullshit. She then tells me it's normal for nails to break a week or two weeks out, umm no that is not acceptable! My daughter was referred to Phoebe. An appointment was made with Phoebe. My daughter was NOT assisted nor notified that Phoebe was not there to do her nails. Still your teams clientele, very unprofessional. I sent a picture of the nails my daughter wanted and was quoted $90. When I arrive to view the work that was done, it was a $30 nail design and nowhere near what I requested. The request was for a coffin nail, she received a square nail; you can see her actual nail on the side with no powder. When I ask her to fix it and to give me what I asked for and most of all what I PAID for, Vina had an attitude. If your nail tech is not experienced in the job that is being requested, she need not attempt so you don't have to clean up the mistake. Most of all, this could have been avoided if you would had told my daughter Phoebe was not there we would have made other arrangements. The fact my daughter is getting ready for prom and I didn't care about the amount of money, you wasn't about to mess over me sweetie. If I'm paying you for a service, Vina, you need give me what I paid for and not what you think I should have. You raised your voice at the wrong person today but you next time I won't be so nice. Oh yes yes yes! After doing some extensive research on Instagram, I came across Vina's nail salon. I immediately messaged her to see if I could get an appointment the next day which would be a Saturday at noon. Got the OK and was there the next day. It's a very small place and honestly nothing too fancy but boy is her work legit. I absolutely love how she is on top of all the latest trends in the nail industry. I was greeted by Vina (who was working on someone at the time) and was told to sit at one of the other chairs. She came over to get me started by drilling off some of the previous polish I had on before and had them soak in acetone. Here is the reason I decided to knock off one star. Vina left me waiting for a VERY long time. She was still working on the other person and she was coming back and forth between the two of us. Finally, after over 30 minutes of soaking my hands in acetone, Vina came back to actually start on me. She was very fast and careful with what I wanted and even suggested designs to me, which I very much appreciate. I was very satisfied with the results and it was very reasonably priced! Went for my birthday to hery nails done got the 70$ fullest and pedicure deal and left paying 115$ because unbeknownst to me they charged me 5$ per sugar crystal nail only for all the the glitter to come off the next day. To add insult to injury not even a week into having the nails 4 of them broke while I was doing everyday activities like scratching my leg and cleaning! Went back to get them fixed and she said it wasn't their fault they broke but did agree to fix the 4 nails for free but tried to charge me 15$ to get the glitter back on and some bling. I paid the 10 for the glitter because obviously I can't have 2 dramatic different hands but they still ended up looking different because she forgot to make the polished nails matte so I left with a matte hand and a shiny hand! . And also 3 out of 6 of the remaining that didn't get fixed broke shortly after I got the others fixed!!! Now let me preface this by saying I don't mind paying money for my nails but if I do they damn sure better be of quality and last longer than 4 days to a week!!!!
