Vietnamese milk coffee- strong and good! Let the ice melt or you will be tweaking.

Good Vietnamese iced coffee! A must get! Super hidden spot outside of Kahala Mall. You have to walk outside the theaters by the bathrooms and walk to your left or walk outside Taco Bell and Panda Express exit and walk to your right side. It's a small spot that allows only 3 people to stand comfortably inside with a table outside. They have food items and have not tried them yet, but I will next time!

Welcome to the neighborhood! Lots of free parking as this is conveniently located in Kahala Mall. You can see their store front as you drive in from the theater side of the mall. Standing room only to place your order, they have two tables outside of their front door to sit and wait or eat. We came on a Saturday morning and there was a line for lunch. Three employees behind the counter, so things moved reasonably quick. Starting with the Vietnamese salted coffee, this was refreshing but it had quite a bit of ice. We sipped this to the bottom of the cup in no time. Next, we split a roast pork bahn mi. This tasted okay but the bread could have been crisper. Wasn't expecting green onion inside the sandwich but it worked. We also split a tofu vermicelli bowl. Generous portion of noodles and seasoned tofu. Be sure to mix thoroughly as the lettuce is under the noodles. This was a tasty amd healthy option. We will return to try other menu items. Fast and friendly service. Thank you for having this available and best wishes.

I am so happy to find banh mi in Kahala again. I've been missing the old BaLe takeout at the mall. Vince's Cafe is the perfect addition. They are open at 8am. It's just a tiny hole in the wall with no seating inside but with a couple tables outside, located next to the CorePower Yoga. The menu is simple, either banh mi, noodle bowls, or summer rolls. I tried the Vince's special banh mi ($13.45) and shrimp and pork roll ($6.95). The sandwich was very good because they use Thai chilies, not jalapeños. Plus, I like the curls of green onions alongside the cilantro. It was a nice touch. However, I felt the bread fell short. It could've been warmer and crunchier. The summer roll is the winner having both shrimp and pork. Plus, the peanut sauce was delicious and the perfect accompaniment! I also like that there is an all veggie option in each menu group.

Went on a Wednesday to try their signature bahnmi. Service was good but bahnmi was lacking compared to another local shop. I didn't expect raw green onions in the sandwich and a few skinny sprigs of parsley. Bread was alittle chewy, amount of filling was okay, something in there was a little salty but the pate was liquidy. Iced Vietnamese milk coffee was strong but could have filled the cup more, about half of the cup was ice.

Takeout lunch from Kahala Mall, Honolulu, Hawai'i... My friend asked me where I wanted to eat and I replied: Vince's Cafe. Located on the backside of the mall, it's next to CorePower Yoga, across the free, covered parking lot from the Goodwill Donation site. It used to be Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar. Outside, there's a helpful sidewalk sign. The inside is cozy and efficient. The workers are very cheerful and helpful! I ordered a peach iced tea which was a bit sweet at first. I let the ice melt - then it wasn't that sweet! There were small, round, clear coconut (?) gel at the bottom of the cup... fun and chewy! I also got a tofu banh mi - it was delicious! I liked the pickled veggies and soft bread with slightly toasted crust. We ate inside of the air conditioned, clean, bright, carpeted mall. Since I was there, I took home a roasted pork vermicelli bowl and shrimp and pork summer rolls. The roasted pork had crispy skin and the summer rolls were individually wrapped! Very good! I'll be back!

Decided to try this fairly new Cafe located outside Kahala Mall next door to Core power yoga . Vince's Cafe took over Uncle Sharkii Poke spot. Friendly service although look at my pic on the Vietnamese iced coffee. They didn't fill the coffee to the top it was mostly ice. Of course it's not crushed ice so the cube ice takes more space . The BBQ chicken Bahn Mi had no taste but the Char Siu pork was not bad . Prices are on the little high side . Also I like my French bread toasted a little Vince's Cafe don't unless they forgot ? Best of luck to them but I probably will not return . Support local when possible

    Matcha Taro

When you first come in, Vince (I assume) was very friendly and welcoming! The menu is clean, straight-forward, and not too long (which I prefer). I tried their house special banh mi and their matcha taro. Their banh mi was delicious and I've discovered I love Thai chili peppers over jalapenos in the sandwich! I would've preferred a little more veggies in my banh mi, but I don't think this affects my opinion of how much I liked the sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised by matcha taro! The matcha they used had a subtle floral note which balanced out the bitterness of the matcha, while keeping the flavor. The taro was a little sweet which made the overall balance of the drink perfect! However- if you don't like chewing your drinks I would skip the taro :-) I can't wait to try more items! Edit: P.S they also added this cute little pineapple mint that was very tasty!

Banh Mi is my favorite! This is a small shop but super clean!!! Excellent services!!! He explained to me that they don't use jalapeños in the sandwich but they use Thai red chili peppers!! Yes, yes my favorite!! The meat to veggies ratio was excellent!! I will definitely return to try the other banh mi!!!

A tasty banh mi. Made fresh when you order. Toasted rolls make such a huge difference. We got a Vince's Special for $13.45. The paté was delicious and all of the filling was fresh. It seemed a bit underseasoned though. We also got the roasted pork for $14.50. Again, there was something missing in seasoning. It was actual pieces of roast pork (like Chinatown style) and looked so good! It just needed a touch of salt. She did ask me if I wanted spicy or not. I'm thinking I should have said spicy so maybe the full flavors would have been realized. Tiny spot on the backside of the mall. Super clean and the air conditioner works well. Two ladies working the counter. One handles making the orders, the other greets and handles the register. She was so nice. She even called back a customer that hung up before she answered because she was busy with me.

Good prices & Great customer service! No shame to ask about the menu, they were super sweet, cool, and open to answering my questions. They recommended the white coffee if you like the coffee on the sweeter side; GET IT it smacks:) also got the vince's special banh mi that's rly good and they add a good lil mint candy! It's tucked in a corner at kahala mall and has a small space but they have a table outside if you want to cruise for a bit but i think its a great grab n go place as well!

This place offers excellent customer service. The staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable about their food and drink options. It's definitely a must-visit. They have great hours from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and they're closed on Sundays.

Came to Vince's Cafe to try out their Banh Mi and Summer Rolls. I've tried almost all Banh Mi there is on island, and Vince's Cafe is by far the best yet!! Ordered the Vince's special, bbq chicken, and shrimp and pork summer roll. So yummy!! Also had amazing customer service by Vince himself and Tiffany. 10/10 all around!

I heard they will keep this space for special events. The restaurant is quite busy and I'm glad we had reservations. Good thing I was there prior to lunch hour opening, otherwise we may lose our reservations since the person who made reservations tends to be habitual in arriving late. We dined in May, but it's been awhile since I first dined here. I preferred dining in Chinatown during lunch time than at dinner. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. I forgot his name, but I remembered that his eyeglasses that he wore was cool/funny, since the frames for each eye didn't match the other eye! lol. Funny it wasn't me who first noticed it. One was square frame and the other was a round frame! The restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays except may write Happy Birthday in chocolate on the dessert plate that you purchase for the birthday person. Their desserts are unique and refreshing. I think there are some rotating desserts /flavors like their seasonal menu for their main menu. I guess you can always keep coming back without being bored of the menu! I was bummed to see a previous dish posted of a pasta that I wanted to try that wasn't on the current spring seasonal menu! When we dined for brunch over the weekend, I was able to get the Hainan chicken with the crispy roast pork combo. It was very filling , tasty and satisfying. I do love ginger sauce on the cold ginger chicken but sometimes the chicken is just okay. This Hainan chicken was really good and the chicken was really moist! I thought it was the best I've tried! It was good that I wanted to takeout one last time in August before they moved! No more the 50/50 combo with the crispy roast pork on the lunch menu during the weekday. It was on the spring menu. Of course it's best to eat it in the restaurant than for take out. Bathroom is a must for me when dining out and they had only one shared bathroom for everyone! There was a guy who tried to make several attempts but wasn't successful, since there was always someone in the restroom. I'm glad the waiter told me there was a bigger separate bathroom with several stalls for men and ladies upstairs. You go straight through the kitchen to catch the elevator and to another kitchen /storage area! Thank Goodness! Best wishes at your new location. You offer yummy and tasty food!

While the servers were nice, we did order ahead of time and showed up when the Beluga app (where we ordered off of) told us to show up, but I ended up waiting 15 minutes at the restaurant later than I was supposed to get my food. Additionally, the staff seemed to forget I was sitting/waiting for my food. My suspicion is that the online ordering service isn't actively monitored and our order wasn't started until I actually showed up to the restaurant to pick up our food at the designated time. The food was okay for us. I'm a big Banh Mi fan and was looking forward to eating their Combination Banh Mi, but unfortunately the Banh Mi seemed a little rushed in preparation and lacked flavor. My husband on the other hand, ordered their Combination Pho and it absolutely did not disappoint. Although their Banh Mi was not as delicious and flavorful as I expected, their Pho was the exact opposite of that. They give you a generous amount of broth and their portions of greens was beyond enough (maybe a little bit too much for one serving). The last food item to talk about are their Spring Rolls. It wasn't anything too special compared to your usual Spring Rolls, but I will say that their dipping sauce and everything else that comes with it (rice noodles, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots) made it so that you could easily make it a meal vice an appetizer. If you're looking for a cozy place to have dinner, their space was a bit crowded but if you're okay with then this place is good. Just be warned that their prices are a little bit on the higher side in my opinion and be prepared for long wait times to receive your order.
