Talk about YUM! The lasagna is out of this world! It is a bit pricey but the portions are very large. They have a beautiful interior that makes you feel like you've stepped into a castle. The bar is absolutely gorgeous and all the fixtures, seating, even the restrooms make you feel like you're in Italy back in the day. The service has always been great each time I've gone. I just love Grassa Gramma I highly recommend if you are looking for a good Italian meal.

Delicious food, busy restaurant. We didn't have a reservation so it was bar service only but you can dine at the bar so that worked great. Felt a little less high end at the bar probably because they were slammed with well drinks and a full bar. Food came fast and was hot. They have 2 tvs at the bar and volume of music perfect. Food runners were so professional! Easy parking big lot shared with shopping center.

Not the best espresso martini I have had, but oh my goodness the rest of the experience was impeccable!! Service was so attentive. Food well worth the price with generous portion sizes. The ambience has great dim lighting and still good for date night of big groups!

Interesting place, the ambiance is very unique. It's dark and moody. We had a table in bar area so had some light from the exterior windows. Our server was great very nice! The pasta was disappointing. I read many raving reviews and it was nothing special. I got the Ragu alla bolognese and the noodles were over cooked. The focaccia was good but over seasoned for me.

3/19/26 my husband and I went to Grassa Gramma to celebrate my birthday. We love the atmosphere and decor here. Our server tonight was Ashley W. We were seated on the floor at what I like to call the Bicycle Table. We came on $22 Monday Meal Deal Night. It comes with a chosen pasta dish, a choice of a Caesar or a seasonal house salad, fresh baked focaccia and a glass of house red or white wine. The night we came, they had Rigatoni Bolognese. Oh my, it was absolutely delicious. Ashley came by very often to check on us and the Assistant Server came by as often to refill our water glasses and clear our plates. We had such a lovely time. I really enjoyed Ashley. She was so delightful. Our Rigatoni Bolognese was so good. We also ordered a slice of Limoncello Torte to celebrate my birthday. It was such a large portion that we took the remaining part home and enjoyed it later. We will be back again soon. Robyn

When my friend suggested we have a ladies' Friendsgiving at Grassa Gramma on the night when proceeds were going to Dare to Care, my answer was an easy yes. I had last enjoyed Grassa Gramma during the pandemic via some takeout, and I've been wanting to go back ever since. This time, I got got see the interior. Wow! I had heard the restaurant was impressive, but that didn't adequately describe the experience. Someone in my group said that the space used to be a former theater -- I believe it! Large wooden doors beckon you in, and every inch screams Italian, from the soft lights to the lush, comfortable interior. A second surprise: the complimentary chianti toast to set the tone for the meal. And that feel of celebration and cherishing the experience carried throughout. I got the cacio e pepe, my Italian go-to. And this was one of the best I've had. The cheese and pepper were in perfect harmony. I also started with the Caesar salad -- something else I'm definitely getting again. From first impressions to saying goodbye, this an A+ experience all around -- plus we got to help support Dare to Care. I can see why Grassa Gramma is one of the best restaurants in Louisville.

What an interesting find ...little piece of Italy in the Kroger parking lot. Very interesting decor and so much to see. If you are looking for some Instagram content this is the place for you. Service was excellent. They started us off by offering a traditional Chianti toast. We also for some delicious focaccia bread with olive oil. I enjoyed the chilled peach Caprese salad. I was not a fan of the lobster risotto but my friends loved it. The tiramisu was Devine ...apparently made with liqueur. My only complaint is that the music playing all night...was not Italian... which is definitely a missed opportunity to set the atmosphere.

An instant Louisville favorite. The atmosphere inside is cozy and memorable - and the food is incredible! Not to mention outstanding service every single time! Everything you eat is freshly prepared and made to perfection! I've loved their cacio e pepe, ragu alla bolognese and petty cash pizza! Pro Tip: Make a reservation for Monday Night- the $22 Monday Meal Deal includes: - House Cesar Salad or Seasonal House Salad - Glass of House Red or White Wine - House Made Focaccia - Meal Deal Entree (tonight's special was vodka pasta with chicken or sausage)

Our server Andrew was fantastic! I found this restaurant on TikTok and am so happy we decided to dine here. We were visiting from Sacramento and would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the Louisville area. The food was flavorful and fresh. There was a slight mixup when we came in for our reservation. They were going to seat us outside when I had requested a standard table when I made the reservation a while back. We wanted to sit inside to experience the ambience. We had to wait a little bit longer, but overall was very happy with our experience. And we were given champagne while we waited which was a nice touch.

The flare and setting is super awesome!!!! YoWe started with a couple of things the artichoke dip and artisan crap. My wife went with the lasagna. While I went with a the veal Parmesan. This is not a Military friendly restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place

As always Grassa Gramma for the win! My guys celebrate their birthdays 3 days apart and we chose to Celebrate here. Our waiter Kane was the absolute best ever! Literally made great suggestions and catered to our every need. (Even my gluten free bougie self.) We had the bread regular and GF. An Appetizer, Italian sodas, lemon cello spritzer. On to the entrees! Pizza, wagyu beef entree with shrimp the lobster tail and lobster ravioli and the carbonara. They brought my guys the chocolate mousse celebration desserts, and we also chose the Neapolitan gelato. It's like sitting in a restaurant in Italy. The decor the lighting and the food. This is why this place continues to be one of our favorites. Louisville, we have a gem here! Also, they have a Monday Meal Deal, that is to die for only $22! Entree, salad, bread, and wine! Check out their Facebook page to see this week's special!

I went for meal deal Monday. The server was very good. The ambiance was great. The food was the only thing lacking. It just didn't taste very seasoned. The drinks were good as well. I enjoyed myself. This would be a good spot for just cocktails.

Ask the Community - Grassa Gramma

What would be considered proper dress attire for this establishment? Casual?

At lunch, guests were dressed business casual. I wouldn't recommend t-shirts, but a polo shirt would be acceptable. Slacks, not faded jeans. At dinner, a sports jacket would be recommended.

Can this restaurant accommodate for an infant if my 4 month old accompanies me to an early dinner?

Yes! They have a main floor that is half booth, half tables and another space off the main floor that is primarily tables (although not as interesting). I'm unsure of what they have available in terms of an item to hold a baby carrier, but if you… Read more

Is there a gluten free menu?

Yes we do have gluten free options, you can put on your reservation that you are looking for gluten free options, and your server and the kitchen will make sure to accommodate for you!

Would this be a good place for a group of 15 or so?

Yes but I would give advance notice so they can accommodate the group

    Is there a kids menu?

Hi and thank you. We have a kids menu although it is not printed. We make smaller portions pasta and can offer pizza with almost any topping. The menu is priced for the kiddos (buttered noodles $4, chicken alfredo $8, cheese pizza $7). Grassa… Read more

The colorful, fun signage actually made me feel more at ease, especially since "build-your-own" spots can feel a little overwhelming at first. I appreciated that they also had pre-made menu options for those of us who don't want to think too hard. I went with the Chicken Chipotle + Tortilla broth, and my boyfriend ordered a steak bowl, both were fresh, flavorful, and honestly hit the spot. Service: Smooth and welcoming Food: Fresh, healthy, and well-seasoned Environment: Clean, bright, and easy to navigate Now, the total came to $34.81, which is a bit on the pricier side, but in today's economy, that's becoming the norm. And for where I am in my health journey, being intentional about what I put into my body matters more than anything. For me, it was worth it. The Verdict: Worth it for a fresh, healthy option, especially when you want something quick but still aligned with your goals. If you're in the Louisville area, I'd definitely recommend checking out this spot, it's the only one here, and it delivers.

Their burgers are "chicken" burgers or veggie. The promotion of burgers is confusing and a little disappointing. Chicken tender combos come with fries, one side and drink. The chicken burger was also tenders but tossed on a bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. Several sauces are offered for dipping your chicken. The combo #1 was a good value. The tenders were hot and had enough peppering to make the flavor interesting. We enjoyed the fries, which reminded us of eating at school ballparks. Sides are small but offer a few bites and I liked the slaw (although it looked different than the menu image). My husband shared the green beans were peppery. My Fanta lacked flavor. The chicken burger was enjoyed by my son but since he didn't really want the toppings, he basically had the same meal as my combo #1 for more money and without the side. Service was helpful and polite. We appreciated them checking on us and being willing to offer recommendations. They have plenty of parking in a private lot and several tables inside. Cute decor. When walking in, the space didn't smell great -- likely a plumbing issue because it otherwise appeared very clean and organized. Drive thru also available. I'd come back for a quick bite of chicken tenders or pick up, but the ambience doesn't quite hit for it being at the top of our family hang out.
