Celebrating the 26th wedding anniversary and this restaurant did so much more than satisfy. The inside is open and attractive. The color pallet, consideration of sight lines and communal feeling was perfect. I expected a loud environment due to the openness, but it was cozy. We were greeted by the lovely and charming Patricia who ensured our evening was memorable. All of the staff stopped to say hi, check in and make sure we were taken care of. However, it wasn't because of our special event. It is just the nature of the staff. They made sure all patrons were looked after. The bar menu is abundant and includes multiple house cocktails and there is great happy hour menu as well as daily specials. We enjoyed the ribeye with cheese grits and seasonal vegetables and chicken Marsala. Everything was delicious and arrived at the table in under 15 minutes. We hope to return to enjoy the live music sessions soon. Definitely will be back and highly recommend thjs restaurant.

The Mahi Mahi dinner was absolutely divine - truly a 10 out of 10! Every bite was bursting with flavor, from the perfectly seasoned fish with the zesty citrus cream sauce..FIRE, to the creamy grits and fresh veggies. Ordered through Door Dash and it was still hot. Oh, the portion was also huge!!

Ambiance was beautiful. There was a live band. Ricardo sounds amazing on the guitar. The food was mediocre. Their take on a Caesar salad was very interesting. Drinks tasted watered down. Not sure if I'll revisit.

This place is a whole vibe! It's classy yet hip, and their presentation is on point! There is a bar downstairs and upstairs, and there's a ton of seating up and down for the restaurant. They have live music on the second floor, and it really sets the mood! My husband went there for date night, and it was fun and still romantic! The service was great! They gave great recommendations, and everything came out in a timely manner. We ordered the margarita flight, the Irish coffee, and the house margarita for drinks. They were all very tasty, and they have yummy options for the margaritas! If you have a group of people, they also offer shot flights served in an airplane, and they have a margarita tree! As our appetizers, we ordered the ferris wheel sampler and the lava cheese dip and chips with chorizo. Both were absolutely delicious! The ferris wheel is fun and has a bunch of great options on it. For our meals, we had the fajitas and The Bourbon Star. Definitely recommend both!

What a wonderful experience!! We had a group of 16 for lunch yesterday. Ambience is beautiful, food was delicious and served hot to all 16 of us in unison, drinks were wonderful and so tastefully presented. Our server was attentive and extremely informative and kind. We all just absolutely loved it and will be back!! Loved my vegan carbonara - always a treat when someone works hard on the vegan options!!

Started with the crab dip- great flavor and texture, fresh scallions and shaved cheese which helped build up the crab flavor- even got extra bread for the dip since it was a good sized portion, Baby green salad- fresh, crisp lettuces, cucumbers and tomatoes in a vinaigrette Bacon wrapped pork loin was flavorful and tender on the inside while the bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. The highlight was the squash - almost like a veggie lasagna. Char grilled cab ribeye- cookedto perfection (medium rare) with potatoes. Balsamic fingerling potatoes- while they had agreat taste and texture- little too sweet. Finished with a key lime pie- heaven in a pie crust- great key lime flavors, meringue was to perfection!

Food: Cornbread- unexpected. This was the free bread corse for the table but it was not expected. This didn't come out until after we ordered our meal. Definitely burnt my mouth because I was impatient Hawaiian Fish- Big portions! It is true when they say that everything is bigger in the south! The fish was light and free of the fishy scent. The rice was a bit mushy from the cook and the addition of sauce. Angus Filet Mignon- standard. The filet was cooked nicely and the lobster compound butter was a nice touch. On to my next adventure...

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without exaggeration, they were the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the balance of textures throughout the dish was incredible. Every bite had the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and toppings. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of place. It was one of those meals where you find yourself slowing down just to enjoy every bite. Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.

There are also picnic tables out front. You get a faint whiff of the grill/smoker upon entering. Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.

There were many seats at the bar as well as couch and chair areas. They also have bathrooms down there. Service was outstanding. We had a bourbon flight and some cocktails. Our server even took group pics for us. He also provided menus so we could be prepared for dinner. When our table was ready, we reconciled our check and headed back upstairs. Upstairs, we had amazing service also. I ordered a cocktail that they had on the downstairs menu, and not the regular menu. It did not faze our server. He said he would figure it out- and he did! After a round of drinks, we stayed with appetizers: meatballs, fritto misto, piatto di frutti di mare and the crab cake. Everything was devoured. I loved the crab cake and the meatballs. The fried calamari was pretty standard and the cold seafood platter was fine- I had an oyster off of it. For dinner, I had the "Pappardelle" : short rib ragu alla bolognese, grano padano, and added two seared scallops. Wow. The pasta is homemade. It was phenomenal. My husband had the "Maiale" : 16oz pork chop, cauliflower puree, chard, stone fruit, bourbon glaze. It was a large portion and cooked perfectly. So good. Our friends had steaks and sides, so I was able to try the Mac and cheese- which did not get congealed! The corn was delicious and the mushrooms were a variety. Of course we had dessert. I asked for cannoli and they had it! They weee not soggy. I had three different favors. I love cannoli. These were really good. We also shared the millionaire's tart and some sort of apple crumble with ice cream. Yum. We had more round of drinks throughout including some fun ones - see the treasure chest video. I would recommend this place. They have a great menu. Drinks were awesome. Service topped everything. They went out of their way for us multiple times. Thanks so much. My hubby and I have an ongoing, unspoken competition: who can find the best steak in Louisville?…read moreThe one spot we always wanted to try closed a few years back, so every new place now has some pretty high expectations to meet -- from meal quality to overall experience to value. Hubby took me to one of the oldest steakhouses in town last fall, and even with three adults, the bill was noticeably lower than what we spent at this establishment. Service here gets a solid 5 stars -- everyone was attentive and personable. Ambience earns a strong 4 stars with a nice vibe that fits the area. The menu itself is intriguing, and every dish we ordered came out at the right temperature and well‑executed. Overall flavor was good. The desserts, however, didn't quite match the caliber we hoped for -- though to be fair, we're not professional food critics, so take that for what it's worth. Not sure yet if we'd return. If we did, it'd probably be with a larger group so we could share the dishes we enjoyed and make the price point feel a little more balanced. That said, the location is perfect for out‑of‑towners staying at the nearby hotels and those hitting the area's higher‑end entertainment spots.
