The grass-fed ribeye, creamed spinach, and Brussels.

The staff here made my night very memorable. I literally came in at my reservation time and they were waiting to receive me with no wait time. Ambience was definitely a vibe. My waiter was very tentative and knowledgeable. He gave some good drink suggestions and knew his bourbon. I was a little disappointed all the dry aged, cowboy cut ribeye was sold out and the restaurant still had several hrs before closing. Food is did have was amazing. Steaks cooked to the right temp and cooked perfectly, crispy Brussels, creamed spinach were done right. If you don't order the croissant loaf you're doing yourself wrong. Overall a very good night. Even down to valet who gave som great nightlife suggestions.

During my stay at the hotel I treated myself out to dinner at the restaurant. The thing that stood out the most about this restaurant is how professional and attentive they were from beginning to the end of my dining experience. Upon check-in the hostess was very pleasant, complimentary and engaging. Once seated I was immediately attended to for drink service. Throughout the night various waitstaff assigned to my table continued to check on me and provide any need. I greatly appreciate that. All of my questions were answered sufficiently and recommendations were given by wait staff. My food came out in a timely manner, hot, and flavourful. I appreciate the torching of the butter selection over my filet. I enjoyed the crossiant loaf, filet mignon, and a side of collard greens. I loved my dining experience at Steakhouse Bourre Bonne.

Service was great. Not just by the waiter but multiple helpers. Food was great. Oysters were top notch, only complaint is the food could have used a little more salt, but nothing that wasn't easily fixed. Very clean and nice inside.

I thought the food was very good. The service was also great and the scenery was nice. Prices were relatively reasonable for the most part as well

Our dining group of 10 convened here for a weeknight dinner following an earlier pre-dinner cocktail at the rooftop bar. Most of us had parked in the pay lot next to the property and some used valet parking. Accessibility could be an issue for some patrons. The waiting area and the interior spaces of this venue are quite striking, both architecturally and with regard to decor. Lighting fixtures were uniquely spectacular. I did not particularly care for the majority of the seating options due to bench type seating and almost half of our group had to do the scoot, scoot, scoot to be in place. The upholstered chairs on the other half of the dining table were also uncomfortable. Maybe they don't want large groups? Or for customers to linger? Menu had a fair variety of options, but not extensive. Overall, I felt it was a bit pretentious and overpriced. I had a glass of wine, salted roasted beet salad, and fish of the day. None of my menu choices wowed me and likewise other members of our dining group echoed this sentiment. I had to request a correction to my final ticket due to being charged for an additional glass of wine. Noise level was moderate when space was at 1/2 capacity, likely contributing to that level is the open air kitchen. Dining experience was okay, but highly likely am one-and-done with this location when contemplating where I would choose to spend a special occasion. This is taking into consideration the menu options, overall ambience, level of service, and cost and ease of access at this elevated price point.

From the atmosphere to dessert our dining experience was simply perfection. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. You must order the bread with the house Cajun butter. It is delicious and you'll wish you ordered two. The octopus with the charred onion aïoli is a dish we'd definitely come back for. Any salad ordered can be separated. The wedge salad was crisp and refreshing. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were a delicious accompaniment. If you are celebrating a birthday you are in for a treat. They have a one of a kind cheesecake that tastes just like birthday cake but so creamy! 10/10 highly recommend! We already have plans to go back.

Amazing meal at Bourre Bonne Friday night. Made a reservation using Open Table. A Hostess called to confirm the reservation and noted that we were celebrating our daughter's 22nd birthday and asked how they could make it special. Well, without knowing what to ask for, they set us up in Kevin's lovely table in an elevated little corner overlooking the kitchen & dining room. Levi was our server and so charming. He really took care of us. The atmosphere is kind of sexy & swanky with really good DJ style music in the background -- not loud or intrusive. The food was also amazing. We ate and drank and managed to spend over $400 for the 3 of us, but it was worth every cent. Had a nightcap at the rooftop bar, which I can't wait to visit when the weather improves. Look forward to going back.

Loved everything here. We starter with lamb meatballs and I have a nice fresh salad with green apple and mixed greens, mascarpone, and apple cider dressing delicious and the seasonal cake to go. Well done dinner was light but so yummy and Nice our server was a delight. Tony you rock also thank you for taking very good care of us! Shall return!

I have gone three times and got the maison salad every time. Drink the Pillow Top, it is weird and green with chartreuse in it. Also, the croissant loaf appetizer with the umami, bayou and garlic butter is definitely worth it.

Everything was great. Not pictured was the life changing croissant, not to be dramatic, it was so fricken good. Jacob was our server and did a very good job

$48 lobster Mac and cheese. Definitely not worth it.

We had dinner at Bourré Bonne and, unfortunately, it was disappointing. While the space itself is absolutely stunning and the service very attentive, those were the only highlights of the evening. For the price point, the wine and food simply do not measure up -- and charging $12 for a draft beer only adds to the frustration. The wine list is average at best yet priced as if it were top tier, and the food followed the same pattern. We began with the smoked fish dip, which was the most flavorful dish of the night and deserving of a 4/5. The salt-roasted beets, however, were lackluster -- bland cheese, minimal flavor from the beets, and nothing that would inspire a repeat order. The most disappointing dish was the lobster mac and cheese. The base dish is $18, with a lobster add-on for $30, bringing the total to $48. Our server assured us this included a full lobster tail, but that was not the case. The plate arrived with only a decorative lobster fin on top, and the amount of lobster in the dish was minimal. To make matters worse, what lobster was present was fishy and tough -- clear signs it was not fresh. For $48, this dish should be a standout; instead, it was embarrassing to see it on the menu at that quality. With so many incredible local restaurants in Louisville -- such as Jack Fry's and North of Bourbon -- it's hard to see how Bourré Bonne will succeed long term. Its only chance may be with out-of-town guests who don't know any better.

Had dinner at this amazing steak house for my husbands birthday. The service and food were out standing, they went above and beyond for this unique and intimate experience. Highly suggest this amazing Restaraunt to anyone truly looking for an experience, great drinks and mouth watering food!!! After dinner we headed to the 6th floor bar for a night cap and ambience. Check out the Fur Coat photos, that's where we were when he got cold The conversation was flowing and we were laughing and enjoying being together. We needed this getaway for us and to celebrate our life together!!! Louisville was an amazing 24 hours visiting you, we will be back very soon and want to stay at this hotel!!!

Great upscale restaurant, especially for a celebration dinner. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday because he loves a good steak. Food and service was excellent. Expensive but we knew what we were getting into. Although expensive, the food was definitely top notch and we enjoyed every bite. We had lobster bisque, beef tartar, wagyu strip, lamb chops, brussel sprouts, and tempura shrooms. The tartar had a slight kick to it but was good... served with kettle chips, toasted baguettes, and crackers. We got the shrooms because they were something different and was pleasantly surprised... a medley of mushrooms deep fried. The lamb chops and wagyu strip were both perfectly cooked and tender. The lobster bisque was poured into the bowl tableside. For my chops, I chose to have a blackened crispy garlic butter added and that was melted over the chops tableside as well.

We arrived at 7:50 PM for an 8 PM reservation. We got cocktails at the bar, a whiskey sour and a Cosmo. Truthfully, we were not really impressed with our drinks. We were then seated around 8:15 PM. I tend to be picky regarding reservation times and honoring them so I was displeased by the wait... to my surprise this restaurant walked away with a 5 star review regardless. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Provided good recommendations that I'm sure improved our overall experience. We ordered the old fashion to share, per our waitresses recommendation and it made up for the pre-dinner cocktails! Delicious! Our appetizers, the burrata and heirloom tomatoes & stracciatella, were a good start! Good flavor and light enough for the starter. However, the French onion gratinee stole the show. Presentation was beautiful and flavor was on point for a classic French onion soup. I ordered the belly-on pork tomahawk and was very pleased with the tenderness and flavor, especially when I asked it to be cooked more medium well. My husband got the 22oz dry aged ribeye, the repeal way with the crab on top. He requested it be cooked medium rare plus and that's exactly what he received. He expressed how amazing the steak was cooked and the flavor. We shared a side of whipped Yukon potatoes that weren't too hot to dig into! These were creamy/buttery and perfect side for our entrees. As you can imagine, we were too full to have dessert but took a piece of cheesecake to go and shared later. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the cheesecake. The blueberry compote was a delicious addition but the plain cheesecake shines all on its own! If I'm ever back in Louisville. I will be back and I'm bringing my friends.

Edit added next day: I should maybe add a star for the managements quick response when i emailed…read morethem the review. Or maybe not. But I believe they were sincere when they said they took my comments seriously and will look into the problems i noted. Original review below. Such a disappointment in so many ways. It started off nicely enough as I arrived for my reservation. I was given a choice of seating preferences (bar vs table) and my window-side table had a nice view outside and of the beautifully appointed room. Unfortunately things went downhill from there. I started with a drink and an appetizer as I considered the entree options. Prosciutto Montaditos: "toast topped with spreadable cheese and house-cured ham, drizzled with honey. The toast wasn't. It more resembled stale bread that was heated too long in a toaster oven: so dry it shattered into crumbs when I bit into it, with no browning on the outside and devoid of any flavor. The cheese, which might have been chèvre, was fine, but there was way too much of it. There was so little prosciutto (one thin slice per toast piece) that it could hardly be detected on its own and when I tried a small piece by itself I honestly couldn't tell the difference between this and something I'd buy at the grocery. But Cured specializes in house-cured meats so I expected to be wowed. As well, the honey drizzle was insufficient. When my waiter returned, not commenting on the mess of crumbs all over the table I made from attempting to eat this, and the substantial uneaten portions of bread and cheese, I placed my entree order. Knowing that the steaks here are a la carte, and sides are typically ordered separately (and the sides offered are very few) I inquired about the Rabo De Toro (oxtail, bell peppers, onions, garlic, carrots slow cooked with tomato paste and red wine), asking if it is a stew, like other oxtail preparations I have had. His answer was vague but he seemed to be saying yes. I ordered that. Entree arrived while I was still working on my appetizer, mid-chew with toast in hand. I had to scramble to make room for him to put it on my small table. Poor timing; a big no-no in a high end restaurant. It wasn't a stew. It was basically two chunks of meat on the plate, with a sauce on the side. It was tasty to be sure, and cooked expertly, but without any substantial vegetables (they were cooked down and used as a mirepoix to flavor the sauce) this disappeared quickly and left me wondering why I ordered it. The wording on the menu was so misleading, being more of a recipe than a description. And what's with the large flower on the plate? Edible flowers such as nasturtiums are welcome but this was something else so I asked Chatgpt which thinks it is a "purple orchid, most likely a Dendrobium, commonly used as an edible-looking but typically garnish-only on restaurant plates." So it may or may not be edible but it certainly wasn't appealing. Inedible or inappropriate garnishes have no business being on a food plate. I was drinking lightly that night so I kept it to one Aperol Spritz. It was good but why the tiny straw that didn't even reach the bottom of the glass? When the level got low and I could no longer use the straw I couldn't drink it without spilling ice and drink on myself given the rounded shape of the stem glass. When the waiter came back after I finished (the only time he did so) he asked how things were. "Well, since you asked," I began, calmly and clearly telling him of the many ways I was disappointed. He listened but didn't ask any followup questions, nor offered to pass on the feedback. All he did was apologize for my experience. Which was nice but woefully insufficient given the level of my dissatisfaction that I made clear. When he then asked if I wanted dessert I had to suppress a laugh! I wasn't going to take a chance of anything else going wrong. Even if was comped (which would be the courteous and appropriate thing to do in this situation but certainly not expected or required) I would have passed on it. He then returned with my check. Could things get any worse? Apparently they could. After a momentary shock looking at the huge number I quickly realized he gave me the wrong check! Easily straightened out as I looked around and saw another dining party also looking confused. As we exchanged checks between us I inquired how their meal went. Apparently they were satisfied. I'm happy for them. Mistakes happen and no big deal, but it was a darkly comical way to add insult to this highly disappointing experience. Before I left I stopped at the front to talk to the host, a young man. I again calmly explained my disappointment and asked that he pass on the feedback. He wouldn't even make eye contact, just sullenly looked down and muttered some sort of apology and assured me that he would pass it on. I doubt that he did. As I left he wished me, "Have a nice day," the sarcasm and derision inescapable. I wished him the same.

We walked in off the street and asked the host whether accommodating a vegetarian with additional dietary restrictions would be an issue. Within minutes of being seated, Chef Ciro Matteo Pirozzi came to our table, carefully discussed my restrictions, and personally helped create a wonderful dinner for me. The staff, food, and ambiance made it such a memorable evening that we returned the following night. Chef Ciro again took the time to walk the staff through his recommendations, and our second experience was every bit as exceptional as the first. From the general manager and chef to the entire staff, everyone made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. If you are visiting Louisville's Bourbon Row--especially if you have dietary restrictions--I highly recommend this restaurant!

There were many seats at the bar as well as couch and chair areas. They also have bathrooms down there. Service was outstanding. We had a bourbon flight and some cocktails. Our server even took group pics for us. He also provided menus so we could be prepared for dinner. When our table was ready, we reconciled our check and headed back upstairs. Upstairs, we had amazing service also. I ordered a cocktail that they had on the downstairs menu, and not the regular menu. It did not faze our server. He said he would figure it out- and he did! After a round of drinks, we stayed with appetizers: meatballs, fritto misto, piatto di frutti di mare and the crab cake. Everything was devoured. I loved the crab cake and the meatballs. The fried calamari was pretty standard and the cold seafood platter was fine- I had an oyster off of it. For dinner, I had the "Pappardelle" : short rib ragu alla bolognese, grano padano, and added two seared scallops. Wow. The pasta is homemade. It was phenomenal. My husband had the "Maiale" : 16oz pork chop, cauliflower puree, chard, stone fruit, bourbon glaze. It was a large portion and cooked perfectly. So good. Our friends had steaks and sides, so I was able to try the Mac and cheese- which did not get congealed! The corn was delicious and the mushrooms were a variety. Of course we had dessert. I asked for cannoli and they had it! They weee not soggy. I had three different favors. I love cannoli. These were really good. We also shared the millionaire's tart and some sort of apple crumble with ice cream. Yum. We had more round of drinks throughout including some fun ones - see the treasure chest video. I would recommend this place. They have a great menu. Drinks were awesome. Service topped everything. They went out of their way for us multiple times. Thanks so much. We can't wait to come back again.

It was a warm day and there were 4 fans helping circulate the air. There was also a small stage where a lovely woman sang a mix of Spanish and English songs. She was fantastic! The food was amazing! It was a great experience! The reat of the table got the Vaca Frita, the Cuban sandwich, and the Pescado Crujiente. Everyone raved about their food. I'll definitely be back to try their whole menu!

What a joke of a place!! Totally regret taking a taxi here ...what a waste of money!…read more Firstly, the person at the check in stand was horrible! And turned even worse and angry when I said I wanted a table as opposed to the offers bar. Not sure why these hosts at restaurant take such issue with a single person wanting a table rather than be crammed into a bar seat and then receive mediocre service from the bartenders! So I was told I had to wait 20 minutes. When they came to get me, guess where they sat me...in the bar!! WTAF?? Yes it was on a table, a broken table, unclean and sticky, but still in the bar in a crowded spot. As expected, zero service! I had to wait to even be greeted and when finally greeted...all I got was "what do you want to order?"! No help, no introduction, no hello or welcome! I was trying to figure out the menu and the bartender offered nothing! Said he would come back and then just disappeared! After about 10 minutes I chose to leave! What a mess! Maybe it's good...but I don't know and won't ever. I'll just go to a mom and pop place another night!
