I have been to the restaurant and now have used multiple times for pickup during the pandemic. There food is delicious and they are friendly and courteous. Order the thin crust pizza with pepperoni but it got to my home cold and placed called to restaurant but person on phone said what do you want us to do make you another one. Worst experience ever. I ordered pizza ($34) first time for delivery at 7:35pm before it finally arrived at 10:45. I'm five min away. I called at 9:45 and they said it's on it way and I called again at 10:15 and they started giving the delivery guy my address. After asking for a discount management would only give me two free liters of pop which I respectfully refused. At the door I asked the driver to call again for a discount and after a couple minutes he just drove off. I was very disappointed and hungry. They never called, apologized or anything. I coach Elementary volleyball and we decided to take out team here after out season-ending tournament (and championship!!!!) to enjoy pizza / soda with all of our players and parents. Mikey took us in on a few hours notice and accomodated 40+ people with no problem at all. The pizza is fantastic and came quick, the service was suburb and we were very well taken care of for a very reasonable price. We may make this an annual stop (for our team dinners). They have appetizers, salads ,GREAT sandwiches, pasta, seafood, FRESH veal dishes ,ribs, chicken (broiled, fried, sauteed, and var. Italian)and steaks. The only dinner over 10-11 bucks is the veal, so it's great food at low prices. There is almost too much good stuff. It takes me forever to decide what I am going to order. If you took the food and put it in a restaurant up North, in a bland/sterile setting, you would be charged double or triple of what you pay here, and it would be worth it. Instead, the atmosphere is very blue-collar, South side, dark interior. It may seem even more so if you are not from the South side. Big deal. It's clean and the food is great. Have been ordering here for years and we stopped ordering because our pizza was cold every time it was getting delivered so we gave Vince's a break and started ordering from a different place instead. Every time our pizza was getting delivered cold, we never once called and complained about it. Today, we ordered shrimp scampi, (which we've had a million times). I was completely caught off guard. What kind of an owner says that to their paying customers?!? I was always taught when I worked in customer service that the customers are always right. Their delivery service is about piss poor. If you order more than 3 or 4 things, they'll probably forget to bring it to you. Had that happen on multiple occasions. Usually we call in for an order and then go to pick it up. These were the few times we ordered for delivery because it was late. One of the times, we ordered a pizza, about 3 pastas, and a 6 pack of soda. Delivery guy comes up to our front door and first thing, "I forgot your root beer," hands the food and then comes back to bring the root beer. Another time, we ordered a pizza, 3 vesuvios with spaghetti, a salad, 2 vesuvios with potatoes, and another 6 pack of soda. We had the guy who took our order read it back to us because we knew it was a lot of food and wanted to make sure WE didn't forget to order something. The guy had to make three different deliveries to us because he kept forgetting to bring what we ordered or our order was taken wrong. First delivery, he only brought the pizza, 1 vesuvio with potatoes, and the salad. Forgot the other 5 things we ordered. Then, when he brings it, he forgets the root beer. So we call the store and complain about this. Guy who took our order tells us he's been working 16 hours and swore he put it on the receipt but probably forgot. But you read it back to us? We asked to add it to our card, but had to pay the delivery guy an additional $4 because he said that we weren't charged for it. So we'll never know if we were actually charged or not on a separate bill. As far as the food goes, the food is okay, and I would say good for its prices. The pizza can taste good on some days, and others where it doesn't taste the best. Pastas are alright, and I mostly like them for their chicken vesuvio with spaghetti; I have yet to find somewhere that makes it. I highly recommend sticking to pick up because it's not worth the back and forth delivery and exchange, delivery charge, and tip. read more

The pizza is great, maybe one of the best thin crusts around. I've been going to this place for many years with family and friends. We have always enjoyed the pizza for the many years we have been coming. The sad thing is for all the years we've been coming the dining room experience has always been a bag of blah! You occasionally get good service and a nice waiter/waitress, but the service is always mixed. The owners aren't very pleasant, don't really come out of their way to express their thanks for you coming to their restaurant. Some of the waiters and waitresses over the years have complained to us about the owners as well. More like 4.5 stars. So for ~$12, each person had soup, salad, pasta or potato, and HUGE portions of their dinner entrees. Hands down the best minnestrone ever, cooked with homemade rendered stock and full of amore. So well-seasoned. Salads are iceberg lettuce, but the house vinaigrette is decent. Good homemade bread served with whipped butter. I had chicken cacciatore, which came filling an entire plate with two full chicken breasts and sauce (I usually only eat 1/2 chicken breast at a time, so this is meals for days!). It was rich, briny (love the capers), but not too heavy. Orange roughy with lemon butter was decent (sauce better than the fish), crusted red snapper special also good. One of the highlights the red sauce on the pasta -- heavenly and so fresh. Amazing bread pudding, custardy and just the right balance of cinnamon. Bar is separate from dining area, which looks like a family-style restaurant with booths and tables inside (not what you expect from the outside). The decor is dated, but it kind of adds to the charm of feeling like you're in your friend's Italian grandmother's home having a great meal. Authentic and unpretentious. This is the food of generations -- you can almost hear the years of family celebrations singing through it. There is a wonderful In Memoriam to the original Vince and his wife from decades ago. All the brothers still apparently own and run the restaurant, and one of them took some time to talk with us afterwards. A very homey place. I've been all over the world and this pizza is still the best. Like all restaurants it has its high points and low points. No place is perfect.
