Got delivery from here in a Friday night. Totally average food, people hype it up because it's tavern style and because of the CCSW (chicken Caesar salad wrap). I didn't get the CCSW though. I got the eggplant parm sandwich, which was fine, lacked depth, but it was a very simple eggplant parm. My partner got the stuffed gnocchi, and mozzarella sticks. Might be one of the worst experiences I ever had. Where to start. The spaghetti was beyond bland. Seemed like they just placed a can of crushed tomatoes over noodles. We also ordered a chicken Caesar sandwich. We received an over cooked cutlet,oil with Italian seasoning and a couple day old bread. The following day everyone at the Father's Day dinner from Punkys complained about stomach issues. We will defiantly not be recommending or eating at this place. read more

If you haven't had Punky's you should probably keep it that way. I spent $50....FIFTY on mediocre food which consisted of a slice of pizza, a breaded steak sandwich, a chicken wrap, and two drinks. Then they hand me my cup's which is a 16 oz cup. Mind you...that is the size of a red solo cup. The pizza looked good, it truly was not. Steak sandwich was okay. Ordered to go via their website and the order was completed by the time I arrived. I had a buffalo chicken wrap. The wrap itself was good and taste fresh. The chicken had the right amount of sauce on it. I had no complaints with my wrap. I will be back to try a different wrap. read more

ugh, I don't want to be that person, but imma have to be. We came to punkys when two other pizza spots that said they were open online were in fact not. The service was friendly enough and being an East Coast pizza lover, I was excited to see they had a Sicilian pie on the menu. The smallest pie was half a sheet, which was really huge, but me and my sis split the order. We also ordered a salad and a fettuccine Alfredo for my mom. The salad was decent, nothing to talk about there, but as I took some noodles for myself from my mom's Alfredo order, I noticed a wiry, longish thing mixed in with the sauce. I showed the woman at the counter who said it might be basil and then said, it's not basil. She did come over apologetic with brownies. The pizza came and it looked nothing like a Sicilian. We barely ate a slice. The cheese tasted weird and the dough was wet and squishy, nothing like a Sicilian. We packed some up to give to someone who might be hungrier than we left, I ended up putting it in the alley, no point of even having it inside the house (it was that gross y'all). Sadly the brownies weren't that good either so we also left that behind with about half the pizza. I love Punky's Scarlata thin-crust pizza with generous chunks of Italian sausage, pepperoni, and hot gardiniera. My second favorite item is the Eggplant Parmigiana pasta which is enough for me to eat for three meals. Service is always excellent. read more

Don't go here as much as I should, as I've always been a big ricobenes fan. Although this is still a solid spot worth going to. Staff is friendly, service is fairly quick. I usually go here for the chicken Cesar wrap which is extremely flavorful, chicken is fresh and well seasoned, dressing is nice and creamy, the wrap itself is well sized, and the fries that come with it are exceptional. It is pricey but it is well worth it. Best fries I've had in Bridgeport bar none. read more

I'm pretty sure the food was done quicker than it was delivered so good on the restaurant, bad on the driver. This chicken caesar wrap is supposed to be one of the best in Chicago. Now maybe I didn't do very good research but this is not at all what I thought it was going to be and frankly I kinda hated it. I knew it would be grilled (I hated that it was grilled) so I can't count that as part of the reason why it was bad. A warm wrap that's basically just lettuce is not good warm but I wanted to try it. No what I really didn't like was the wrap or the dressing. I wanted something light and flavorful for lunch. I thought this was bland and really heavy. It came split up into three parts and I could barely finish one. The fries were so bland. I don't even know how salted they were. My ranch container came broken and ranch got everywhere. This is a tough review to write because I really, really wanted to find a new Bridgeport spot. I usually go to Freddie's for their Chicken Ceasar Wrap, but had heard about Punky's forever and wanted to check it out. There is a decent amount of free street parking so that is always a good thing. I went with a grilled chicken Cesar wrap and fries. It comes with waffle fries and they're decent. Not too many of them but they taste good. The wrap was big, more of a pita than a traditional wrap. You get three large parts, but there is something missing, can't quite place it. It's a very watery sandwich, the Cesar dressing isn't that thick. It's also at the high end of price. A wrap and small fountain drink was just over $14, kind of high for me. The pizza looked decent and I probably would try that again. This reminds of a place that is good drunk food but I maybe not a sober dining place. You can either eat there, or order to go/take out from their convenient window on 26th street. I've had a wide variety of items over the years I've lived here-thin crust sausage pizza, ravioli with meatballs, hot dog, chicken ciabatta sandwich, minestrone soup, fries, and pub chips. I'd say the best of those was the ravioli w/ meatballs, they were both really big and a good value. Pizza was pretty good too. My friends enjoy ordering here too, so I'm sure I'll very likely be ordering from here again in the near future. Depending on the day, it's usually smarter to order ahead if you're getting to go, as there's usually a line of some sort on 26th with people ordering. read more

Bridgeport has a nice handful of these wonderful neighborhood Italian, fast-casual joints. Punky's is kitty corner from Mark Sheridan Academy, and West of Chinatown. Of course, Punky's has pizza whether you want individual slices or a whole pie. This is the typical Chicagoland thin crust variety. Crust is not overly hard, but holds up the sauce and cheese. Good balance of ingredients, and it satisfies the appetite if you're looking for something quick. You'll find an assortment of other Chicago staples like Italian beef sandwiches, but I was surprised by the fried mushrooms. These are big league, and it's not your standard button mushrooms either. I think this was a portobello! Nice option for delivery or just a quick pick-up or dine-in. Interior is clean, and the staff is friendly. They're always partnering with Mark Sheridan Academy on fundraisers, and it's good to see they're so involved in the community. I'll support that! read more

Met up with a friend from out of town as she is on a quest for the best chicken wrap and saw on TikTok Punky's was the spot. I'm not much for wraps because I don't like store bought tortillas however this place uses pita bread! The choice of grilled or breaded chicken is offered, we both selected breaded and added croutons. What made it tasty for me was the pita and that it's grilled because it was crispy. Yum! As for service you do have to order, pay and pick up your meal at the counter. Not thrilled about having to get up and grab my meal but it's not a deal breaker. The seating area is spacious, tables were clean, and floors looked swept.
