Here from California with family. It was fairly packed, but no wait thankfully. Outside and inside has a dope vintage vibe that's really cool. We ordered a little bit of everything: Veggie pizza Margaritas Key lime pie (or cheesecake, not sure) Salmon and Broccoli Burger and Fries Everything, was delicious. Thank you very much. We can't wait to come back on our next visit.

Quirky place with good burgers. Done in a Steampunk vibe with the original gas station parts still visible. Usually busy. The burger sauce is delicious. The pizza is ok. The crust could have been more done and the burger pizza we ordered had way too many pickles and lettuce. Those onion rings are darn near perfect; crunchy outside and cream bite through inside. Our server was cute, friendly and attentive He made sure we weren't thirsty after our pizza was somehow dropped on the floor before it made it to the table lol.

Service was quick and the food was great. This place has a cool vibe and I enjoy visiting here.

Very cool spot off Woodward Avenue -- was an old garage that was converted to a restaurant. They have decor to support the theme and it's fun. The best part is that it opens up to the outside (aka the "garage doors" lift open so there's fresh air connected to outside eating and inside spots open to the outdoors on nice summer days too. As far as the food: burgers, union mac-n-cheese and the coal fire pizzas are specialities. I've had the first two in the past so tonight I ordered the pizza with grilled pineapple, garlic and pepperoni. They do offer pizzas with toppings like chopped burger, steak and even chopped coneys. But that's not my thing... but may be yours. My husband ordered the chop shoppe salad which is like a Cobb with chicken and fried onions on top. We enjoyed both for what they were. Not the best pizza but decent for a non-pizza place. The server was friendly and the meal was well paced. Recommend if you're looking for a more laid blunch or dinner in the area.

I live Vinsetta's Garage. the food, vibe, the DESIGN and INTERIOR, and to top it all off, the sweetest waiters that serve us with no rush whatsoever. The restaurants story is so interesting. It was originally an actual car repair shop, and was named after the former-street it used to be under. (I believe it was Vinsetta Street) The whole kitchen and dining area, and entrance is all built from the actual garage. Even the table are sawed from car frames and crushed steal, you can feel the sweat of the car repairmen oozing out of the walls. I NEED to talk about the Union Mac. When you go to Vinsetta, it is priority number one to get this dish. For the sake of appropriate behavior on my part, I will not re-create the incredible howling noise I started to subconsciously create when I first tried this mac and cheese. I wouldn't be surprised if I killed a generation of Macadamians. All I'm trying to say is, it's the greatest mac and cheese in Berkley. The burger isn't much to write home about, just a simple, run of the mill Krabby Patty. The vibe this place gives off, you'd think the pizza would be quite crispy. You're dead wrong. While it doesn't manipulate the quality of the pie, it feels misleading in a traditional sense. I will say, the Oven Roasted Tomatoes explode in your mouth like gushers. I loved the first bite of everything I had here, and if I had to recommend any kind of busy dinner spot in Berkley, it's this tied with Crispelli's. But on a personal level, I can't help with Vinsetta's when they have such a good track record. 4/5

Are these bracelets or onion rings? Edible bracelets: genius!

It's been a while since I've been here, and the long wait at busy times is part of the reason. No problem at 3:00, however, even on a Friday. The 3 AM Burger is served with Swiss, onion straws, bacon, just enough sriracha mayo to give it a bit of a kick, and topped with a perfectly fried egg. The burger has a nice char, and you can taste the quality of the meat. It's served with chips, but the server told me that I could substitute any of the sides. She didn't tell me, but it appears to be $1 off the regular price. The onion rings looked perfect, but they were a bit squishy....not something I want in onion rings. Even with the tasty tomato mayo, I couldn't eat more than 2 of them. My wife's grilled chicken was perfectly charred. The bacon and pepper jack were a perfect compliment. And, the skin-on fries were amazing. Fortunately, there is plenty to share. She asked for honey mustard with the sandwich, and she loved it. We both swapped out the regular bun for a pretzel roll The drink selection is excellent, and there are some nice options. My wife accidentally ordered a mocktail; she went to the bar to tell the waitress she wanted alcohol in it when she figured it out. The waitress didn't offer to switch the drink out. We paid an extra $8 for a shot of vodka, making it a $15 drink, which I didn't realize until we got the bill. It's still fun getting a tasty meal and a drinks in a vintage (but clean) garage. I won't take so long next time before I return, but I'm skipping the onion rings.

At the beginning I was a little skeptical due to the young hostess brushing me and my boyfriend off. We arrived and she blankly said "one second" and hoped on a phone call. It took another worker to help us after we had been waiting awhile but he apologized profusely and was very kind. The vibe of the place was super fun and chill. We went before a Tiger's game and it was the perfect laid back but authentic-style for a dinner. It also is very unique due to it being an old gas station and has kept many of its original structure. We ordered the Chips and Onion appetizer. I thought that was good! We also asked our server her pizza recommendations. While we had our minds set on the Loaded Potato Pie, it wasn't one she had suggested. I'm disappointed we didn't choose one that she recommended because I would say this wasn't my favorite pizza I've had. The flavor was bland and in my opinion, the texture of the potatoes didn't blend well enough with the pizza. It lacked flavor. Overall, we had a great experience, however I wasn't overly impressed with the food or initial service.

Although I miss the cheeseburger Mac, vinsetta is always a great option for drinks and great food. The burgers are unique and delicious. Love the 3am burger and the coney pie! The Chop Shop salad is an amazing salad with chicken and ham. The service is great and if you go at lunch time, you'll usually be seated without waiting. The history of the place is very cool and the penny floor in the bathroom was one of the first I'd ever seen back when the restaurant first opened. We usually go here for a special occasion meal, but lately have been enjoying the pizza so much we might be calling for takeout pretty soon!

Gluten Free Mushroom & Canadian Bacon pizza

**5 stars**: When we reached this place we were told it would be a 45 minute wait. After about 20 minutes we ended up being sat in a beautiful booth. Our appetizer was out in 5 minutes and our server Kelly answered every question we had (which was many) with ease. My sister usually finds herself disappointed at basically every restaurant we go to and every meal she orders, especially because she's gluten free. She loved everything about this place. They offer many gluten free options that are not only edible but delicious. The decor is a perfect mix of vintage but modern. We came for a birthday and the dessert comes with a sparkler and rock & rye ice cream with pop rocks on top. Not one complaint, but not sure we can come back in fear of it not being the same perfect experience!

Had a good Tuesday night dinner! Reservations are always a good idea or there will be a wait! We did have reservations and were seated and attended to immediately! I had the classic Vinsetta Burger which usually come with a large amount of good chips...but I got the super yummy Mac and Cheese. My date got one of their pizzas. I can't remember which one...but it was well made and there's enough to take some home. I had a cocktail that was whiskey and honey. Very good. I'll definitely be back. It actually looks like a garage because I guess it used to be one. Fun atmosphere for sure

Grilled Chicken sandwich with fries and tomato aioli, I also got a side of hunny Mustard.

The food.....Yummy!!! Especially my chicken sandwich with fries with tomato aioli!!! My husband's Vinsetta burger and chips were really good as well!! Atmosphere was really cool, I like the feel of eating in a garage, it's industrial, and so unique lol! Our server was really to the point, and nice. So far so good! Will come back when I'm craving a delicious burger or sandwich!

The result is a mouthwatering pie-like pizza that you're not getting anywhere else. If you want a lot of topping options, Louis isn't for you, it's far more limited than competitors, but I would argue they perfect the basics. The interior is charming in a straight out of the 1970s sort of way. The dining area can get pretty loud but the noise level is friendly and it's great being in a full restaurant surrounded by other people having a good time. There's a strong community feeling you don't get in sterile, corporate chains or local takeout spots. Despite my overwhelming praise for the pizzas they make, I also have to be honest. In the most charitable way possible, I hope that they can take some of their much deserved recent success and reinvest it back into the business because the front of house staff is regularly in over their heads. You can safely add 15 minutes to whatever time they quote you when placing your order. I had one order that was close to 30 minutes late and another that was missing all the extra sauces. As a result, pickup orders are very frustrating. The other criticism I have is that the parking lot is very crowded and routinely spills out into the surrounding streets. The lot size is limited, so not much they can do but they could work with the city to repave the lot and color label certain areas. I hope more people check out Louis. It is a gem.

As a New Haven pizza fan, the REAL kind, I was extremely disappointed. I know that after having eaten the real New Haven (Pepe's, Sally's, and Modern), I need to tighten down my expectations, but come on! They have these beautiful ovens, a nice, clean, and pleasant place and they turn out what I would consider pizza no better, perhaps a little less good than Hungry Howies thin crust pizza! New Haven is supposed to be crispy and chewy, NOT soggy. I tried Farmington Hills a few months ago and ate in, then last week tried Birmingham and carried out. For those of you thinking that my carry-out experience may have been bad due to the 3 miles I had to drive home, but I've carried out a LOT of pies from a LOT of locations, and I DO take that into account. There are some positives: The ingredients were impeccable. Fresh, high-quality cheese and the mushrooms were done really well. The pepperoni was of good quality but nothing worth writing home about. There are a lot of great pepperonis in the area. The doneness was great. It wasn't over- or undercooked. The flavor was good, but not, as some have said, amazing. In both cases, the crust was limp and soggy, NOT chewy and crispy. Not in the least. I don't mind if it's a little bit floppy, but not like this. An analogy I might give is to compare Tomatoes Apizza to Modern Apizza in actual New Haven is like comparing Jets Pizza to Loui's. Jet's is fine, but Loui's! (If you know, you know). To me, Modern in New Haven is at par, and not to be sacrilegious to our beloved Detroit Style, with Loui's or Palazzo Di Pizza, so it's not a style issue. My two experiences were both the same, so I don't know what to think. I'll give them one more try at some point.

Don't look for a paper menu, they ain't here. My sandwich wasn't a grilled cheese. It was basically pesto toast with large sun-dried tomatoes and scraps of mozzarella. Baby spinach was just missing. I did inquire to the host (perchance the only actual employee?) and he did talk to the kitchen and I guess they were out. With that information I turned to my friend Robert and said, "You know why we have servers? So they can let you know they're 86 spinach." I suppose I would have adjusted my order had I known this too. What's nuts is, they have ingredients to make a better grilled cheese. I mean, step one: add cheese. Why not mix the ricotta and pesto together and then add like havarti or something that may actually melt and have flavor. The sun-dried tomatoes should be sliced smaller. The garlic fries were fine, but also could have had more flavor. Robert's and neighboring table's pizza looked fine. Is it better than any other place offering Detroit style pizza? Hard to say. I guess I'm not in a hurry to go back. The kind host did make an adjustment to my bill for lack of spinach--but having a server would have prevented that being necessary.
