A very cool four star maybe five restaurant on the river with a View great menu. We had the salad which chopped salad which great great cocktail menu desserts are kind of limited. If you're not staying here it's still a good place to try. We were at the Marriot and it's just like a 10 minute walk recommended great staff very attentive thank you.

We were celebrating my Mother In-laws 80th with family and friends. Sweet Waters is known for its river view, excellent service and entrees. The dining area has great views of the river with ample seating for every party size. We had a party of about 8, we were seated a few rows back from the main windows. Our waitress was very friendly and quickly took our food orders. The Brunch menu offers a large variety of food options from Classic Breakfast dishes to Sandwiches and Burgers. To start a few enjoyed Mimosa's. We then ordered the Scramble, it is served with smoked bacon, piquillo pepper, green onions, cheddar, crisp gold potatoes and choice of toast, a fairly ample plate of food, our party also had the Classic Benedict, poached egg, English muffin, a good portion of shaved ham and a nice portion of hollandaise, a standout dish was the Crab Benedict, with a very generous portion of warmed crab, poached eggs, hollandaise and an amazing salad. All the food was well prepared and well presented, everyone enjoyed their meals. At the end of our meal my Mother In-law was presented a sweet treat, and we all sang Happy Birthday to her. We all had a great time socializing and taking in the views and the ambiance. I am not sure why the ratings are so low for Sweet Waters, we had an amazing time as a family. I look forward to our next visit.

I couldn't think of anything I would consider a con about this place. Food was delicious, staff was friendly, view was great, ambiance was calm and relaxing.

This is a return visit from seven months ago and wow, so much better! Harrison our waiter was excellent, he also indicated that there's a new chef now. Very apparent! The dungeness crab cake was absolutely amazing. The accompanying Sriracha Remoulade was just the right spice and made the dish.Along with the arugula. Enough for 2 or maybe 3 people to have a bite. I ordered the amazing cod beer battered fish and chips for only $20. They have a Halibut option for like $8 more, I like the cod. This fish and chips are the best I've ever had. Light and crispy, just like they serve in Ireland! Spot on. I ordered the fries extra crispy because last time I was here, the sring shoe ones were horrible, limp and over cooked. Not now, they've even changed to a larger flat French fry and a wonderful slightly spicy seasoning. My husband also liked his. Now the coleslaw is another issue, I told our waiter Harrison that they should leave it off the plate or get it right. Not only was it tasteless, but it looked like it was at its peak about five days ago was slightly browning edges. That's okay. The rest of it was awesome so I'll forgive the chef for that one, plus everyone else in our group loved the service and the food. Our son ordered the rigatoni and elk meatballs. He said it was an amazing dish, complimented by the arugula and pine nut salad. His partner ordered the beef and pork meatloaf with port wine brown glaze, garlic mashed potatoes and baby carrots. His comment was simply amazing. My husband ordered their roasted turkey BLT with fries. A winner!!!

Second time here! Love the ambience here. The staff is truly amazing!! The food is delightful! Love love the soups here as well. We haven't been here during the day yet but would love to sit on the patio seeing the river view next time!

What a wonderful experience, starting with the food, but enhanced by the incredible service we received by Jeremy. He was so passionate when he was describing the specials, answered all of our questions with patience and grace, allowed me to make a substitution that ended up making my dinner divine. The New York, cooked exactly as ordered, with greens and garlic mashers was perfection. We will be sure to come back when I return to Oregon.

Service and ambiance are always great at Sweet Waters. Have been here multiple times during different menus and have never had a bad meal.

Service was nice. Felt a bit like we were kinda rushed. It was a Tuesday at around 6:30pm and the restaurant was not busy so I'm not sure why it felt like they wanted us to eat and drink our food fast. We ordered a couple of drinks and other than having bunch of appetizers, we got the salad with chicken as the entree. The food was good, it had a nice atmosphere and we enjoyed our time relaxing a little bit while looking at the river with the sun in our eyes.

Amazing service! Great cocktails. Fabulous atmosphere. Love the location! Decent food. NY strip was underwhelming. Nice but very drunk guy hanging out at the hostess stand talking to patrons as they enter, which was unprofessional. If he was the owner of the place, he shouldn't be inebriated while at the host stand.

Eugene's favorite on the river restaurant has been reborn. Redecorated its new bright, clean, modern and comfortable atmosphere is most welcoming. The full service bar terrific and you can't beat the tables on the deck overlooking an impressive river view. The food for dinner and breakfast is also very good. The energetic staff is doing an outstanding job as they become comfortable with building what promises to soon be a gem of Eugene's fine dining.

The Skybar is located on the 5th floor of the building along with the Hotel lobby... uh okay. The staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. We went to the SkyBar and found it to be a smallish yet convenient place to wait for guests or visitors along with getting a drink or a bite to eat. The bar looks like it can accommodate about 30 people in the interior. There is a nice outdoor patio that can easily accommodate more when the weather is nice. The barkeeper was very attentive and observant, he took our food and drink requests at the bar and in short order, everything was presented. I had a Moscow Mule that I found to be a refreshing drink. Ginger beer, lime and vodka. An excellent combination. I also had an order of the chicken wings and fries. The fries were a normal shoestring variety, cooked well, nicely salted and came in a metal bowl. The wings I found to be outstanding! I don't usually get wings this well made unless I do it myself. I received 8 wings coated with barbecue sauce on a charcuterie board with the fries. The wings were served nicely hot. The meat was piping hot, juicy and tender. The barbecue coating was a hearty middle of the road sauce, not sweet or too smoky. It was caramelized perfectly for that sticky texture and flavor. Definitely a nice coating. Thankfully the bartender brought us a lot of napkins. The wings and fries made for a satisfying meal. The bar boasts a couple of gas fireplaces that make for a warming environment with a few semi private tables. There is a longer table for a larger group as well as several smaller tables and a few bar stools for game watching. All in all we found the bar to be a cozy semi-private environment, yet available to the guests as they come and go. All around, a nice meeting area and watering hole. We will book our family members for a stay here at the hotel. I'm looking forward to trying more of their specialty drinks.

The decor feels arbitrary and hasn't grown in the 3 years between my visits. The bartop is tiny despite plenty of wide open space in the venue, adding to that empty feeling. But it's the only tiki bar for miles and it has a unique tiki + horror theme that I appreciate: emphasizing creepy mugs, playing vintage Godzilla on the TV, and a collection of drinks named after monsters. They also have custom mugs for sale, which is always awesome to see. My partner enjoyed her Chinese Mai Tai, but my Bride of Frankenstein tasted like light cream. The service was good. They were professional and personable and bantered well with everyone around the bar. There seemed to be plenty of regulars making the rounds in the early afternoon. The environment is lively, mostly because Taro is personable and we were able to see him create beautiful sushi dishes live while hearing him engage with the customers seated around him. It was actually really fun listening to his stories, and seeing how he is passionate about the food he makes. He was excited about the uni and was talking about how the fish he orders is from Spain and how he really wanted to order another great cut of fish. The food was delicious, even down to the house sodas they have. We ordered the summer margarita with fresh berries, lime soda, cold beet appetizer, veggie donburi, chef's choice spicy trio hand rolls, chocolate mochi blackberry cake - and at the end Taro gave us 2 nigiri on the house. The house lime soda - usually soda is nothing to blink an eye at, but the lime flavor was fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. We were surprised by how good it was. The summer margarita was a delight, the alcohol and fresh summer flavors balanced perfectly so that neither overpowered the other. The beet appetizer was fun to try. Beets can sometimes be too earthy/muddy in flavor, but the nutty dressing paired with the salty, crunchy puffed chip paired well with the soft bites of beet. The veggie donburi bowl was much bigger than expected, and everything on it was good. The tempura tofu was well executed - silken tofu encased in a thin/crispy layer that tasted light and not greasy. The overall flavor of the bowl is akin to teriyaki, but less sweet and more of a deep umami and more smoky flavor. The handrolls had a good amount of fish to rice/topping ratio. The wasabi actually has some real wasabi in it, and the pickled ginger and soy sauce made every bite flavorful. Very filling. The fish were all fresh and tasted great. My partner who almost never eats meat couldn't resist and ate a piece of nigiri and loved it. The mochi chocolate cake was very unique and definitely worth trying. I find most chocolate cake too sweet with a generic cocoa powder flavor and too heavy. The texture of the cake is not too dense, but has a nice mochi bite to it while tasting a deep cacao flavor without it feeling too heavy. The sweet/richness is just right paired with bites of fresh blackberries. Honestly, may be the best dessert I've eaten so far this year. The interior is well decorated and pays homage to Akira the anime. The hostess who greeted us seemed stressed and it definitely showed on her face the whole night. But, our server was kind and attentive. Despite the handrolls taking ~20 mins to show up, the food was delicious and worth the wait. There is so much more to try on the menu.
