Final Edge has a decent selection and I have found a few hidden gems there. Most of the pricier records, I already have in some form so I'm just going in there looking for bargain bin records or collections. The last time I walked out of there, I believe I had 10 records for $4. If I'm not careful, I could spend hours in here just looking through records. The first thing that got my attention was the condition of the books. They're in really good shape. Some used bookstores make me feel like I can't wait to leave just so I can wash my hands Not here. The books are clean, organized really well section by section, and easy to browse. I went with my daughters and we had such a good time wandering the isles together. I used to go to this shop back when it was in Seabrook. They have a ton of comics back stock and rare items on the wall. They also do some good sales for back issues and books etc for a good price. Sig's selection is wide and they have crate after crate filled with alphabetically arranged records from all musical genres. The upstairs is a cool, attic-style loft dedicated to true oldies. I didn't spot an elevator, so fair warning to those with vintage knees like myself. There's street parking and you can pull up right in front of the shop. The records at Sig's aren't cheap, but you aren't just buying music, you're buying into Houston's storied sound.

We purchased an expensive box set, the "Who-Who are you?" from this store for a Christmas Gift. The…read morewrap was not opened until this past weekend. When we tried to play the CD's in our high-end Marantz SA-11S1 audio player, it would not recognize any of the disks. Usually, we can insert CD's that look like they've been drug down the street and scratched badly, and they still play, but it would not play any of these. Nor would the CD players in our cars would recognize them. We checked the internet. There is a known issue with this Box set. We attempted to return it, we didn't wish for cash back; store credit would have been fine. But we were refused. We have been customers with Music town for over 40 years, and never once have tried to return anything. Anytime we walked in we would often spend over $1000. We enjoyed shopping there. Unfortunately, this is NOT how you treat your VIP customers. Or ANY customer. Stand behind what you sell or GTFO of the business. James would have never refused to compensate with at least store credit. We are very disappointed with the new owners. We left the un-working box set there and left. We will not be back.
