I'm almost hesitant to post this because I don't want her schedule to get completely booked up but…read moreQueen seriously has magic hands! She does an incredible job releasing tension. The deep tissue is definitely not your "relax and fall asleep" kind of massage -- it's more of a true deep tissue massage where she really gets in there and works out the knots. I walked in carrying a ton of tension and walked out feeling like my shoulders had finally unclenched for the first time in forever! What's crazy is she's tiny, but so strong and relentless when it comes to getting those knots out. Don't let the size fool you -- she will find every tight muscle you didn't even know you had... and probably a few you were hoping she wouldn't find. The place itself is clean and has a nice atmosphere. It's not a luxury spa-type place, but it's comfortable and welcoming. If you carry a lot of stress or muscle tension and want someone who actually works things out, Queen is amazing and I highly recommend her.

Now...her style is not for the weak. She will get every knot out of your back and release tension throughout your entire body, and sometimes that requires full-on pressure that not everyone can handle. That said, you can absolutely ask her to go lighter, she's very attentive and will tailor the pressure to your comfort. In my opinion, she's perfect for blue-collar workers who are on their feet all day, caregivers, nurses, athletes, and regular gym-goers who truly need relief. She knows exactly what she's doing and is deeply in tune with her work. I felt immediate relief after my Swedish hot stone massage. The pressure was intense at times, but I breathed through it and didn't ask her to go easier because I knew my body needed it. I did notice a previous review mentioning bruising..this can be normal with deep tissue work, but again, communication is key and she will adjust to your preference. Thank you, Queen T! you are a gem.

Parking is fine with three spots in front of the business and more areas to park on the sides. It did not seem like a busy area and parking does not seem to be an issue here. Amanda asked me if there were any areas she should focus on and also let me know I could let her know if I needed her to adjust the pressure. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. The room was calming with low, warm lighting while we undressed. It was mostly shut off during our massage. The music was also playing low. Very easy to let yourself relax here. The lobby and overall space is well curated. The lobby has a coffee and tea bar that also has water post massage. 100/10 be sure to call and make an appt for you're girl! Can't wait to be back!

Once I got a small bruise on my face after a 90-minute massage so I stick with the 30 to 60 minute massages now. I've seen several people here and had deep tissue, Swedish, Thai aroma, and head, neck and shoulder massages. Most of the time I've had a great massage but some have left me with pulled or sore muscles so I tend to stick with several people. Overall, I really like Darwan, Penny and Grace because they check in with you and communicate well. Siri and Lisa are good though once Lisa caused a pulled muscle in my back because she twisted it a little hard in one direction. She seemed to neglect parts of my body and over focus on other areas. I don't see her anymore because sometimes her nails were too long and they had an annoying unpleasant sensation which was very distracting. Siri has mostly been good. I think you need to find which massage and therapist work best for your body and needs. Parking is good and the receptionist is really nice and knowledgeable about the different types of massage. They offer hot tea, water, and a special Thai tea they make which is very good. If they could change the headrests I'd book longer massages.

Review for Watercourse Way Bath House Spa…read more A peaceful oasis in the middle of Palo Alto that works for just about any occasion. This is a long overdue review. I have been to Watercourse Way by myself, with girlfriends, and with boyfriends--and it has been solid every single time. Whether you're looking for quiet alone time, a girls' day, or a relaxing couples experience, this place truly has something for everyone. What makes Watercourse Way special is the privacy and flexibility. The private rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Each one typically includes a hot tub, cold plunge, shower, and a comfortable resting area with clean towels and linens. It feels like your own little retreat tucked away from the world. They also offer larger rooms that are perfect for sharing with friends--soaking, chatting, and maybe adding a massage to the experience. The massage services are excellent, and you can book them individually, as a couple, or as part of a group visit. The staff makes the whole process easy and welcoming. A few practical notes: * Parking can be a little tricky right near the entrance * I usually park at the Whole Foods on Homer Avenue and walk a block or two--it's simple and feels very safe * The facility is consistently clean, well-maintained, and professionally run * Prices are reasonable for the level of privacy and service you receive What I appreciate most about Watercourse Way is how it encourages you to slow down. It's the kind of place that reminds you to take care of yourself, breathe, and reset. Life is short. Stress is unavoidable. You can't control other people--but you can control how you respond. So go soak. Get a massage. Unwind. Make it part of your routine. You'll leave calmer than when you arrived--and that alone makes it worth it.

I had been neglecting my skin and knew it needed some help, so I booked the custom facial so the esthetician could choose what made sense instead of guessing myself. Once I was trying to relax, in the towel robe and lying down eyes closed to block the bright light, she looked at my skin and proceeded to tell me I needed a different facial because the custom one wouldn't be "enough." It was not really clear to me what the differences were although I asked clarifying questions, but she talked through multiple options and prices even mentioning one had an offer of a free take home product. This was NOT the vibe I was looking for. Now I could have just said no please stick with the original plan, but I was vulnerable... this was the first nice postpartum thing I had done for myself and did want to do what was needed for my skin. However, I ultimately felt like I was being upsold and having to make the decision to spend more money on the spot when I'm sitting there eyes closed trying to relax. It was too much mental load especially since I wasn't familiar with the facial options as a first time customer. The mention of the free product also made me feel like it was a sales pitch. I wasn't familiar with the product, and it wasn't going to play a factor in my facial choice. The facial overall seemed good and I did add on microderm abrasion which I do think make sense for my skin and would have been a simple add on without doing the mental math on the other facial types. At the end, she put on a tinted sunscreen that when I stepped out, made me appear slightly orange like a really poor foundation match so I ended up going home to wipe off my face instead of continuing along my day. All in all, I think they use quality products and know what they're doing. However, my recent facial somewhere else reminded me how this one was simply not a relaxing experience, made me feel put on the spot, and led me to spend more than I had planned.

As I've gotten older, my body is just not the same as before and Ross helps me in moments of pain that I don't need to live with. I don't enjoy my time (so good it hurts) with her but know the end results will payoff. This is a no frills deep tissue massage experience. Ross (Rosalyn) works for herself and by herself so she manages all the bookings via text so allow some time for responses. As for commentary on her candor, if it's not for you, then it isn't. Grow some thicker skin. She's frank but not disrespectful. Her talent, pricing, and results make it worthwhile for many of us, based on her regulars. Her space is a bit dated but clean, dark, and comfortable. As someone mentioned, it's no Burke Williams so manage your expectations here. Cash preferred and considering she keeps her prices reasonable-it would behoove you to return the hard work with a nice tip. She offers 1 hr, 1.5 hr, and 2 hr sessions. If you're new, I'd recommend the 1 hr to start with and maintain with the 1.5 hr sessions to make the effort worthwhile.
