Very quick and they also have text message reminders. I scheduled a 75 minute signature head spa and the individual on the phone said it would be with Yen (which I believe is the owner). When I first came in she greeted me warmly and started off with a scalp analysis to see how my scalp was. From there we got started, they provide a top to wear to make sure your clothes don't get wet but also so they can massage your arms and shoulders. The visit came with a massage (face, hand, arms, shoulders, scalp), facial, hair wash and foot soak. Throughout the appointment, Yen would check in with me to make sure everything was good such as the water temperature not being too hot or too cold. Having been to other head spa's before, this was by far my favorite head spa I have been to and will for sure be back.

When we arrived (on time), she mentioned they were running behind and seemed annoyed, which I tried to be understanding about. Unfortunately, the energy carried through the session and she didn't check in during the massage to see if the pressure or technique was okay. In contrast, Yen was checking in with my girlfriend throughout her massage, which she really appreciated. I think the experience probably depends a lot on who you get so if you book here, you might want to specifically ask for Yen.

My partner encouraged me to go without him, so I took the 2:15 PM appointment. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the receptionist, Josalyn (or Jocelyn... sorry if I misspelled your name!). Very pleasant on the phone and in-person. She had me fill out a form detailing the type of massage I wanted, pressure preference, areas of focus, and any add-ons I was interested in. I chose the 60-minute deep tissue massage with extra attention to my back, neck, and shoulders. My massage therapist, Gib, was absolutely amazing. Bless her hands because she really got to work on all the tension and knots in my upper back that I didn't even realize I had. There were even moments when we both laughed because the relief felt so good I'd let out an involuntary grunt. It was intense in the best possible way. Penny was the massage therapist who helped me on this day! She was excellent! She managed to address the problem area with expert technique and skill! Although, the soreness from the stiff neck was still present after the massage, there was a noticeable improvement! Laura came in and described what she was going to do. She asked if I had any areas on my body that were bothering me. I let her know my low back is an ongoing issue. I really appreciated that she asked me that and how much pressure I would like for the massage. I have to say, this was one of the best massages I have ever had. She did a combo of deep tissue and Swedish massage all over my body and also focused more on my low back. The hot stones felt really good and the heat level was just right. Parking is fine with three spots in front of the business and more areas to park on the sides. It did not seem like a busy area and parking does not seem to be an issue here. Amanda asked me if there were any areas she should focus on and also let me know I could let her know if I needed her to adjust the pressure. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. The room was calming with low, warm lighting while we undressed. It was mostly shut off during our massage. The music was also playing low. Very easy to let yourself relax here.
