I hadn't been back to this place in over 7 years because of a negative experience w a massage therapist harassing me for not giving what he thought was a more than adequate tip...so I tried it again as it was convenient. Terrible and shady! Not only were people hammering and drilling during my massage, it quite sure there is prostitution happening. There were sounds coming from the next room that could be any other than that. As a woman, I felt wholly uncomfortable, unsafe and angry. Well, I decided to give this place another try and it was amazing. My masseuse's name was Peter and he was very methodical and thorough. I told him about my recent knee replacements and he massaged my knees, calves and quads aggressively and my legs felt amazing afterwards. Peter also worked on the knots under my scapulas and my back felt a lot better than when I walked in. I will definitely be returning to have Peter works on my knees and back again. But she said her account didn't receive the money immediately, and we all know it depends on your bank, but I know the money has already been refunded to her. Because I saw the credit refund. This lady doesn't understand this meaning. No matter how we explain it to her, she is very excited and says either she will receive her money today (already refunded) or get a massage. So the massage parlor was willing to provide her with a free half-hour massage. But she refused, still very excited. The massage parlor could only ask the police for help. The police asked the woman about her clothes and pants color, and the massage parlor said it was black pants. However, the woman began to say that she heard "black", which was discrimination. This place is now reopened as "Lucky 99 Foot Massage"; I used to go way before when they were the old place. They specialize in full-body massages. The very basic package--the "foot massage" is $25 for 60 minutes. This is still considered a full-body massage so don't get thrown off by the wording; they cover all parts of your body from head to toes. It is definitely a bang for your buck; no frills or extra amenities... If you want that, take yourself over to an actual day spa and pay your $80-$100. These massages are comparable to using a fascia blaster after having a heavy workout at the gym. It does hurt in certain spots, but the masseuse knows where all the kinks and pressure points are and they WILL sort it out for you, I promise. The pain is all part of the healing process. Of course if it is too painful, make sure you let them know and don't suffer through the entire experience. Also please make an appointment, you will be guaranteed a spot as it can get backed up at times. And please be on time or early to your appointment... They will not skimp out on your time, but it's just more considerate to be on time since others may have appointments after you. Also their parking lot is TINY so save yourself the headache and park in the adjacent plaza and walk over! And tip, oh tip... I seriously don't understand why people make such a fuss over tipping. These people work with their hands doing literal manual labor all day by massaging yo spoiled ass. The least you can do is leave a good tip (minimum $10). If you can't afford to tip, then don't go... With that being said, communication is key so make sure you are clear on what you want and that the masseuse understands you as well. It was recommended to me to come here by a family friend about 3 years ago. I have now been here a handful of times. The best time to go is when they have early bird specials during Monday-Thursday. However, the employees are talking to each other during the whole massage which ruins the "relaxing" part. One thing that I do not like about this establishment is that they demand a tip. I do believe in tipping, however, as a paying customer I believe it is up to the customer to decide how much they want to tip. If they demand a tip, they should include it in the price of the massage or inform customers. I do not agree with the fact that after the massage is over, they say "$10" and stick their hand out before you can even open your wallet. The first time I came here we did not have enough in cash for the exact amount in tips because we did not know about this "policy." Although, we did try to give them all of the cash we had. My 1st visit here and OMG I have a new foot massage place! They get busy so call 1st, but I got lucky in a drop in and there was a cancellation, but I can see why they book up! I got Rose, and she was amazing. I'm a disabled veteran with damaged feet, and it gets difficult to walk when they get bad, but a visit to this place will mean I can walk more. She replied yes, but they can't fulfill our request. I asked her when the next available female will be available and she said 30 min. Ok, so we will wait, please change our appointment. 30 minutes go by and a new receptionist pops up, is totally frazzled by the long line and other issues that come up with other customers. She clearly doesn't know how to handle or de-escalate everyone's agitation. At the end of it all, original girl cut out without explaining the status of her remaining customers and left second girl to clean up her mess. SO.... Just so you're not thrown off... they've increased their price to $30 for the basic hour foot massage. Which isn't bad. I actually come here quite often and have a decent massage. Tonight, however, far from decent. My massage therapist kept pausing throughout the first part of my massage. I kept having to look up to see what was going on and she kept trying to put the towel over my eyes and telling me to relax. Finally when she was massaging my feet, I had to sit up to see what she was doing as she was taking longer pauses and now only using ONE HAND to massage my feet and calves. She was so into watching a video on her cell phone that she didn't even notice that I had sat up and caught her. In an attempt to keep the communications open, I asked her to use two hands to massage and to put her phone away. At the end of my massage, I told her that if she expects to receive a decent tip, she needs to put her phone away and focus on her customers like the other massage therapists do. She apologized but laughed during the whole lecture. I did give her a $5 tip which is way more than I think the entire massage was worth -- $35 total for a massage that reminded me of my 12-year old daughter massaging me at home in front of the TV. read more
