Easy to get into, no waits during the week and fun atmosphere. Food is great, large portions with a special vibe. Not like it just came out of the freezer. Plan to pay $50 for two people but it worth the price! Try it but don't make it too busy for me ;)

This place is awesome. Very energetic kind if vibe of a restaurant. Music while you're eating is a good vibe. The interior decors are unique. So many things on the ceiling that I can't keep looking up. Now the staff is kind and fast but not attentive. The food, well compliments to the chefs who prepared it. I love my order. Everyone in my party was having S good brunch. I'm most definitely coming back here.

First time trying this place and we loved it!, no wait for a party of 2, great service since the beginning, we ordered chilaquiles green with 2 eggs and they were delicious , also we ordered banana pancakes also very good and fluffy, our coffee was very good too, ALSO they are fast!! We ordered our food and in 5 minutes they served our plates, so great service, very good food, nice ambience, nice music not overwhelming, and very fast!

A Fabulous (and Filling!) Mother's Day Brunch! Came here on a Saturday with my daughter and grandchildren for an early Mother's Day brunch, and it did not disappoint! The Violet Rooster is a fantastic little brunch spot with unique, charming decor and seriously generous portions. PRO TIP: Reservations are highly recommended through Yelp! It is not a very large restaurant, so if you don't book ahead, expect to wait about 30 to 40 minutes for a table (which is exactly what we waited). Because of the cozy size, it's also probably not the best spot for big parties of more than 8 people. They do have both indoor seating and an outdoor patio option. Once we were seated, our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We started with drinks--a Violet's Secret Mimosa and a Paloma--both were refreshing and well-made. For food, we ordered a bit of everything: Feta Me Betta: Egg whites scrambled with spinach, mushrooms, red bell pepper, turkey sausage, feta, and everything spice. It came with homestyle potatoes, fresh salsa, and a piece of sourdough. It was packed with flavor! Traditional Eggs Benedict: Canadian bacon with a perfect traditional hollandaise sauce that my daughter loved. Happy Hendrix Pancake: A super fluffy buttermilk pancake with a smiley face made out of fresh fruit and confetti sprinkles. It was an absolute hit with my granddaughter! All in all, a wonderful experience. The portions are huge--we definitely couldn't finish everything and happily took leftovers home. As a bonus, the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Just keep in mind that the parking lot is on the smaller side, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot. We will definitely be back!

Heard this place was busy so we joined the waitlist online as we made our way to the restaurant and that made our wait faster. Burrito was delicious, I chose chorizo as my protein. The biscuits and gravy was okay, it tasted like it was missing something but I couldn't figure out what. There wasn't enough gravy that I was just eating the biscuit by itself. The interior was pretty cool and very different with the decorations. Only complaint is our waiter never checked up on us after our food was served so we kept having to find someone (anyone who passed by) for things we needed. We asked for a box and our check but only got the box. Then even after our plates were taken off the table, we waited 10min just for us to ask AGAIN for the check because our waiter was too busy chit chatting with the women next to our table.

Excellent service and good! The ambiance was cool! Reminded me of spots you find around the beach for breakfast. Really loved it all!! We tried the buttermilk pancakes and the country breakfast. They both didn't disappoint!!

We have been trying to eat at this restaurant for quite some time, but it is always so packed. We finally got a chance to eat here. It was a nice morning so we sat outside with our dog. The servers were nice and they were friendly with our dog as well. There is a pup menu for the fur friends! I got the chilaquiles and the food was okay, but lacked some heat and salt. The beans overpowered the dish.

We arrived early and waited outside with a bit of a line. Someone arrived and walked in and didn't say anything to the customers waiting outside. We all walked in and waited for someone to seat us. It was another few minutes before a second person arrived and sat everyone. He was the only server. One person in our group of 5 received the wrong order (pancakes instead of French toast). That individual also ordered the magic (I forget the name) but it was a mix of coffee and hot chocolate. There was no magic (sprinkles) so I asked the waiter for her to get them. As far as food... out of the five of us only two really loved their dishes. I ordered the tots and I swear it stated there was nacho cheese but they had queso. I do not like queso at all so I wouldn't have ordered them had it stated such on the menu. The tots were also soft, I would have preferred crispy. The country fried steak and the omelette with jalapeños got good reviews. The breakfast burrito was described as ok as well as the French toast. The salsa came for the burrito at the end of the meal as well. Maybe they had a server call out, maybe they always have just one. It was a far drive for me so I'm not sure I'd return. The server was very friendly at least, I just think he really could've used some help.

So much personality in this restaurant! We added ourselves to the waitlist around 11am on a weekend and got a call that our table was ready. I was amazed at how it looked inside. So vibrant and lively, and loved how the tables, chairs, and walls are decorated with such intention. The walls are personalized with travels, while all the chairs are handmade and painted as well. I loved hearing about heater behind everything! Food was delicious! Big portions and worth sharing. The breakfast burrito was tasty, and you can choose potatoes or tater tots on the side. The biscuits and gravy was huge and pretty good too! Service was great and even got a $10 voucher to use any time after that day. Note: You can ask to use it on merch!

Came here for breakfast with a friend and had such a good experience! The food was honestly delicious, we ordered the sandwich sammie with house potatoes, fluffy pancakes, and avocado toast with fruit, and everything was so yum. The vibes were cool, but I have to say the interior made me laugh a little, definitely not your typical aesthetic breakfast spot there were Christmas lights inside and it's pretty dim, which kind of adds to the charm in its own way. The servers were really sweet and attentive too. Overall, a solid spot!

I still remember when the place was known as Squeezed In, love the food and the atmosphere. One of my favorite places to visit.

Came on a Sunday. We put our name on the virtual waiting list so we didn't have to stand around until a table was ready. When we got to the restaurant we were seated right away. I ordered the Cali-shrimptastic omelette and got it spicy like the pro tip suggested. It was absolutely delicious. At one point, I was full, but couldn't stop eating it!! I definitely recommend getting it spicy. The hubby ordered the Chicos chorizo Benedict and said he really enjoyed it. There were so many options on the menu, it was so hard to choose. I will definitely come back and try some more things. Service could be a little better. We had to flag down the waiter for condiments and our check. It was busy though. It's a fun little place to go for brunch

Me and my family arrived around 0830 right before the crowd started to come in. We were seated immediately and drink orders were taken, however they took like 15mins to take our food order. Once they took our order the food came out fast and was delicious. Worth the try but I'm personally not a fan of crowds, so I'd definitely come early!

Service was okay, although the cashier seemed to be going through the motions and wasn't particularly engaging. The restaurant appeared clean at first glance, but I did notice a few food safety practices that I think are worth bringing to management's attention. While handling ready-to-eat (RTE) food, employees should change their gloves and wash their hands whenever they leave the food preparation area or touch items that could contaminate their gloves. During my visit, I observed one of the cooks, an older gentleman, step away from the line and use the drink dispenser located in the dining area. Afterward, he returned directly to food preparation while still wearing the same black vinyl gloves. I did not observe him remove his gloves or wash his hands before resuming work. I've included a photo showing the location of the drink dispenser for reference. Later, I noticed a chef from the restaurant across the street stop by and hand food to the same cook. Rather than seeing the food taken to a designated employee area, it appeared to be placed near the cook line. If observed correctly, this could increase the risk of cross-contamination if proper food handling procedures were not followed. On a positive note, I did observe the front-of-house staff washing their hands appropriately as they transitioned between different tasks, which was good to see. Overall, this isn't a bad place to eat, and I enjoyed the food. I simply hope management takes a closer look at these food handling practices, as following proper glove-changing, handwashing, and cross-contamination prevention procedures helps protect both employees and guests.

Staff is always nice and knowledgeable. We normally bring our wine and just have it corked there, but last time we were here, we enjoyed their selection as well. We actually came on my birthday in April (sorry the review is so late), but the staff all signed a birthday card for me and left confetti on the table. Nice touch. The food. We had the lava shrimp to start and of course the freshly baked loaf. I can't say anything bad. It's all fresh and the flavors are amazing. I got the venison chops cooked rare. Wow. First time I've had venison like this, and man. The presentation was cool. Waiter brought it out covered in glass and opened up the container in front of me so I could see the smoke leave the plate. As a visual person, it did hamper the ambiance for me, especially since I was sitting right next to it. We were the only table that wasn't a couple, and even when it got more crowded, the noise level was pleasantly low. Our server asked us how we felt about salt, which was very much appreciated. AMARETTO SOUR: 3/5. Very sweet, and orange-forward which is a new flavor profile for this cocktail for me. BREAD & WHIPPED BUTTER: 5/5. Served warm. The bread was pillowy soft, and the butter, (which was more air than butter and therefore definitely zero calories), was delightfully salty. BRUSSELS SPROUTS: 5/5. I've been burned by so many poorly done sprouts that I don't order them anymore, but my partner wanted to try it and I'm so glad we got them. Zero bitterness, and crispier than an newly minted dollar bill. OCTOPUS: 5/5. Grilled to perfection, soft, not rubbery. The spices in the romesco sauce were aromatic and punchy. STEAK TARTARE: 4/5. Good. These crostinis were the most crostinis to have ever crostinied. The perfect vessel for the rich steak. MUSHROOM SOUP: 5/5. This is the first time I've found balance between being truffle-forward without being overbearing. Usually I'm done after about two spoonfuls, but all 3 bowls (shared between 6 of us) were cleaned. SURF & TURF: 5/5. Owen's checks internal and external temperature, which means steak is cooked true to the way it's ordered. More impressive is that they didn't overcook the lobster. A moment for the gorgeous blue plates; they are heirlooms, and only 7 of them exist in the world. CHILEAN SEA BASS: 4/5. For me, the radish did a lot of heavy lifting in balancing out the saltiness of the soy vinaigrette and richness of the fish itself. STEAK FRITES: 4/5. Again, perfectly cooked steak. I only had one fry, and I thought it was a damn good fry, but my partner did say it eventually got salty. And he loves his salt. CAMPING TRIP: 5/5. The crust on the salmon, the theatrics of the hot rock, the fresh veggies. It's a classic for a reason. MAITAKE MUSHROOM: 4/5. While it was good, I didn't find myself continuously reaching for more, as I nearly always do with mushrooms. ROBUCHON POTATOES: 5/5. AKA indulgent, buttery velvet. A labor of love well received. STRAWBERRY TART: 5/5. While the strawberries were phenomenal, the vanilla (?) custard was a little heavy for me. My mom inhaled it though. CRÈME BRÛLÉE: 5/5. So good. I don't know when it became normalized to serve crème with an Ozempic-thin layer of brûlée, but thank you Owen's for not doing that.

I have eaten my way through filet mignon, ribeyes that could make you emotional, slow braised short ribs that fall apart if you look at them too hard, and somehow, somehow, this corned beef just walked in, sat down at the head of the table, and said, "We're doing things differently now." The meat? Ridiculous. Tender in a way that makes you question physics. Moist without being greasy. Rich without crossing into that heavy, regret filled territory. Every bite felt like it had been engineered by someone who understands joy on a molecular level. And then, because apparently that wasn't enough, you get the balance. The sauerkraut cuts through with just the right tang. The Russian dressing slides in with this creamy, slightly sweet acidity that ties everything together like it has a degree in culinary diplomacy. Nothing fights. Nothing overwhelms. It's harmony. It's orchestral. It's borderline inappropriate how good it is. The rye bread? Let's talk about it. Toasty, flavorful, structurally sound, which matters, because this sandwich has presence. It doesn't just hold the sandwich, it participates. It shows up. It contributes. Now let me save you from making the same mistake I did: Do not order the fries. Listen, the curly fries are great. I'm not here to slander them. But pairing them with this sandwich is like trying to follow a standing ovation with a fireworks show indoors. It's too much. This sandwich is already peak decadence. Add fries, and you've crossed into excess that your soul, and your digestive system, will have a meeting about later. Next time, I am getting fruit. Something light. Something that respects what just happened on that plate. Final verdict: This isn't just a sandwich. It's an event. A commitment. A decision you don't make casually. And yes, I will absolutely be ordering it again.
