I was referred to Alpina Auto Body from a friend who had work done by them. They came highly recommended. I called and spoke with Lana, who was very friendly and receptive to repairing my classic BMW. The shop provided a quote promptly. I called and scheduled my car in for an appointment a couple of days later. So far so good. Things started to fall apart after I visited the shop a few days after that. Shop seemed like they were working through a lot of vehicles which was promising, and the staff was friendly. However the two people in the office disagreed over part availability and lead time, pushing my appointment back a week. I was supposed to get a call back the following week to confirm the parts availability. I never received a call and followed up via phone several times and left voicemails. My vehicle was recently towed because I parked on a curb, at night, in a torrential downpour, and failed to notice the driveway I obstructed. I did not see, when I retrieved my car, that there were yellow paint streaks on the front corner, passenger side. So I stopped by Alpina to ask what I could use to get the yellow paint off without harm to the factory paint. Rather than giving me a tip on what to use, they said they could buff it while I waited. Astounding! I sat in the waiting area for about 15 minutes, and when they finished, that corner looked pristine. I have had several repairs done by them in the past, and they have consistently done beautiful work. I would recommend them to anyone needing body work done. read more

Recently had a 2019 Lexus IS-350 driver's door replaced along with other minor body work on left side. Not only did they do exactly what they said they would do and did it in timely manner. They kept me in the loop, matched the black paint (heavily laden with metallic crystals) blended expertly and unable to even see where they blended it in with the older paint. Car was spotless inside and out when I picked it up, no collision repair dust at all. The owner, Vasi and his sister, Lana who runs the front office were the nicest and most professional people I've met in the auto body repair business. Both extremely easy to talk to and deal with. Prices ! ! - extremely competitive, one of the lower estimates that I received which totally surprised me since there were Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes and other high end value cars in for repairs at his business. After having an EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE AT HOLMAN / KUNI COLLISION CENTER in Beaverton as far as how I was treated, lied to, belittled, the Lexus / BMW repair business's estimate was 250% more than ALPINA's to fix the very same problem and Holman / Kuni refused to give me an estimate of how long it would take, blaming the insurance companies for this. I am so glad that I researched other retail, wholesale car dealers and this name (ALPINA AUTO BODY) kept coming up as the "BEST" place to go for high quality body shop repairs......I'll definitely recommend Alpina to anyone, and no, I'm not affiliated or related to Alpina, just a first time customer who will definitely return if I need auto body work done in the future. read more

My sister and I came to Alpina not long before closing because it was near our air bnb and we thought we might have damaged our rental car. They came out right away and checked our car for us, popped something back into place, and we were good to go. We offered to pay at least something but they said it wasn't necessary. Can I tell you how GREAT these folks are? My car got side-swiped and it messed up the driver's mirror, which is no small event these days, since it moves and is heated! Anyway, with some shenanigans from the insurance company a mirror was obtained and I took it and the car to Alpina who installed it at a VERY reasonable price! The dealer quoted a crazy labor fee, that my insurance didn't want to pay, I guess I understand now, having found Alpina Auto Body shop! I'll be back (Though I hope not too soon!) read more

I brought my car in for an estimate a couple months back. I was instructed to call before coming in to make sure the assessor was not on his lunch hour. I did that, and then headed down there only to find the assessor had stepped out to grab lunch. I sat and waited for 15-20 minutes, when one of the office employees came back and told me that she'd forgotten I was there. When I reminded her about the dent on my hood in need of an estimate, she offered to take pictures and relay the info to the assessor. Anyways, they never got back to me with a quote or any next steps so taking my business elsewhere. I chose Alpina because of the largely positive reviews. I wanted to mention that this business is evidently booked up for the rest of the year, and I wanted to relay that to everyone else looking for a place to get their bumper painted and frame rails straightened. I wasted a whole month trying to get estimates from this place for the bodywork project and paint project; you probably should spend your time elsewhere. I stopped by twice, spent over 30 minutes with the staff talking about it...a few weeks later no response, I stop by again, talk about it...no response a few weeks later (1 month now). I was told that the antifreeze was leaking and there was additional damage under the hood. However when I took it to the mechanic I decided on, I discovered that my antifreeze wasn't leaking and had wasted time to tow my car to the shop that was farther away from me in Beaverton. read more

When I had a collision in Tillamook, I could have gotten my car repaired somewhere closer than Portland but chose Alpina after getting the referral of a friend of a friend. I am so glad that I chose Alpina. I live in San Francisco so couldn't be there in person to meet with the insurance adjuster but Alpina handled everything. They worked with my insurance company and kept me up to date on all repairs. On the day of my pick-up, I arrived a bit early and got to spend some time in the shop and chatting with the owner and a few employees. They knew I was driving back to California that day and gave me tips on checking for wildfires, made sure all my fluids were topped off, air in tires, and even fixed a little unrelated dent in my trunk. My little chevrolet looks like a million bucks and I left with happy tears. They really care about their customers and I will never forget the kindness and generosity I received from Alpina. In Oregon from out of state, using a borrowed car, I foolishly mucked up the rear bumper backing into a big rock at a state park. This was on a weekend. I had a flight to catch late Monday and wanted to get it fixed before leaving. I stopped by one other body shop Monday morning and the guy said they were a couple weeks out. Then I tried Alpina. I explained the fix I was in to the owner, Vasi (sp?), and he was truly wonderful about it. He agreed to meet my timeline (3 pm the same day) which required diverting guys from projects they were already working on. I came back at 3 and they were just finishing up. They popped the freshly painted bumper back on like new, I paid the reasonable cost, and I rushed off to return the car and catch my flight. Just in time. Thanks very much. Went to Alpina for some minor body work on a rear door and the rear bumper cover. Vasi was great to work with, the body work was awesome and I would highly recommend his shop! When washing the car Vasi even buffed out an old stain/scratch that was noticeable on the front door, pleasant surprise and excellent service/work. My go to body shop! read more
