They had an older Tesla Model S for sale that me and my wifey were interested in. We found it online and messaged about it and they seemed to be good with us taking it for a test drive. We live about an hour away so we came into Orem to test drive it, and when we pulled in people inside looked over but nobody came out to the lot or anything. We walked around trying to find the car but we couldn't, so finally we had to go in and ask someone about the car, and someone reluctantly came to show us where it was. We asked for the person we had been messaging with and they told us that the individual was not in but they could help us. The new person then proceeded to show us the car and all was going well. When it came to it, we asked if we could test drive it and the person said yes absolutely. They went to go get the keys, but when they came back they told me they were actually "late for a wedding" and had to leave early so we couldn't test drive. This was off putting so I asked if someone else could show us the car and he brought his manager (at least that's what they said he was). The new guy said I wasn't allowed to test drive the car because it was a "performance car" and I could only test drive the car if they ran my credit, to (and I quote) "make sure" I could afford it and be approved for it. This immediately caught me by surprise, as the car was simply about $25k and was a USED HIGHER MILEAGE TESLA. I own a business and through my life have bought many cars, all of them performance vehicles or expensive trucks and never once had a dealership try to run my credit to verify I could "afford it" when inquiring. I politely asked why they had to run my credit as obviously that wasn't normal, but they didn't give me a straight answer and one of the guys actually even let out a sort of laugh when the other gentleman was "attempting" to explain. They were also highly condescending in tone. On the spot with that having happened we thanked them for their time and walked out, but we could hear them snickering behind us. Shame. We even had our checkbook with us as we were really interested in purchasing the vehicle on the spot. Guess they didn't want the business. We went here immediately after I got off work that Saturday and I wonder if they treated us this way because I had on work boots that had a bit of paint stains on them. Regardless of the reason this is not how a dealership should work. We put off leaving a review but I ran into the page here and see others have also had bad experiences and thought we'd finally share ours, in hopes of hopefully helping people stay clear. He was upfront and honest, which I appreciated, and he followed through on commitments to fix small things in my new car. He also wasn't forceful or coercive as some salesmen are. Another employee, Jameson, was helpful and knowledgeable. He happily answered our many questions and went above and beyond to serve us. I expect this from any business, but it was especially nice in a car dealership since I have had negative experiences in other places. The inside of the dealership is cute! There are a few vintage car items and orange highlights. It makes the place look put together and nice. There weren't many cars in the lot, but apparently COVID has made it difficult for them to acquire new cars. 24 Motors is a great place to buy a used car. They also maintain a service department, which just earned me as a loyal customer. I brought in my smoking truck, they looked at it, and it was covered in coolant. They cleaned up everything really nice to find the source, and in doing so, found a few other leaks in other systems. Not only did they replace my water pump, but also a few gaskets and hoses. They charged me almost $100 less than the two other shops I asked about water pump replacement, and all the cleanup and extra repairs were included. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that they stayed late to finish it up on a Friday, so I could have it for the snowy weekend. Now I don't know if they would clean up rotten fish in an engine, but for professional, fair prices, and great service, don't drive up State St any farther than 900 N. They went to their bank to finance the car but the title was not in the dealer name and the bank had a notice of the dealership that it has had previous issues, so they would not approve the loan. My friend let the dealership know that they would not be able to move forward and they would need their deposit back. The dealership refused to refund the deposit even though there was never mention of it being non refundable and now they are out 500$. The issue was on the dealers end and they refuse to make it right. I get a deposit to hold the car of like 50$ but 500$ is absurd to just hold the car. You may be better off looking somewhere else, I've never had an issue with Action Auto at any of their locations.

After the truck was delivered to Hawaii, I noticed that the front skid plate was missing. I contacted Stayton to see if it may have been accidentally removed while the truck was being detailed. If not, my next step was going to be contacting the companies responsible for transporting the truck to the port and shipping it from port to port. Stayton explained that the skid plate was on the truck when it left his possession and that he wasn't sure what happened to it afterward. Despite this, he stepped up and offered to pay for a replacement, even though the situation was outside of his control and ultimately not his responsibility. That kind of integrity is rare, especially in the car business. Stayton chose to do the right thing simply because it was the right thing to do, and I'm extremely appreciative of businesses and owners like Tyacke Motors. The time at the dealership was quick and we got to drive it home about an hour after we got to the dealership. Then I had some back news where Tyacke was able to come in and go above and beyond. The next day I brought it home - the truck would not start up. I was devastated as I was really excited about the vehicle. I knew that a used car dealer had no obligation to help when I bought a 30yr old car as is. I reached out to Chris just to let him know what was going on and how I felt. Chris offered to take the car and look at it for me and found that there was a huge issue with the engine. What shocked me is that he gave me an option at that point - we could undo the sale and I could go on my merry way - or they could help get it running again with a new engine they located. I chose to trust Chris and see how far the repair path would go, I really wanted this thing running again! It took longer than either of us expected but. This went above and beyond to be fair throughout the process even covering payments for the car while it was in the shop for a few months. While the process was a few months, I got my truck back running better than ever! They charged me but didn't fix a thing. Then the Service Manager, without looking at my car or the service record, insisted they didn't take the sunroof off. They refused to extend my warranty coverage by calling the problem they created a "pre-existing condition." Also charged me $1300+ for oil change and $80k standard checkup. I took my car to Southtown VW. COMPLETELY different experience. The Service Manager told me that the ONLY possible way to get replace the little string was to take the sunroof off. KG Service Manager straight up lied. I just bought another car. I avoided KG VW entirely because of the incompetent, irresponsible, and dishonest Service Department there.
