Just moved to the area and have been in search of a nail salon. I had passed by VIP a few times (after getting lost trying to get to Walmart lol) so I decided to give them a try. I stopped by to get a pedicure with gel polish and they were pretty busy (all nail techs occupied) but the owner (I think? Nice guy!) told me it shouldn't be long. I signed in and waited about 5 min before getting seated in the pedicure chair. It was another 10-15 before Kelly started on my pedicure but I didn't mind--the water temp was perfect and the massage chair was amazing! Kelly did an excellent job! She was friendly, gentle with my feet and took her time. I will definitely be back! Have I found my new nail salon?! read more

Went on Sunday, 8/24 for a Gel-x set. On Monday, my middle finger nail on the left hand came off and today, Thursday, 8/28, the pinky came off. I am an avid GelX wearer and have never had a nail come off prior to 3 weeks. They clearly had issues with the lamp, as she used a different way of applying my gelx by propping a handheld light under her chin. The salon is clean and the staff was nice but I would not recommend the GelX service; there clearly needs to be more training before selling this service. I live in Bowie and will not be returning; for a fix or future service. Money wasted. read more

I've been going to VIP since 2021 and I've never had one complaint UNTIL today. 1. My pedicure was horrible. The tech rushed me out of the chair before my toes were done/dry. Now 2 toes are ruined. I paid for this service $35 (I want a refund). 2. Same woman ruined my right eyebrow. Instead of apologizing, she tried to gaslight me for five minutes by A. Going back and forth about the missing chunk from my eyebrow by refusing to acknowledge she did something wrong B. She Shifted gears by saying my eyebrow was like that and the person who did them BEFORE messed it up. Last time was there (June 2024). I'm still livid and can't believe the way she treated me. Have a little compassion. 3. Last but not least, she got hot wax on my clothes. It's going to need to be dry cleaned. SHAKING MY HEAD!! Worse experience in 25 years. Again, not once did she offer an Apology. I want my money back. SIDE NOTE: Big THANK YOU to Breanna at Ulta in Pasadena. She saved the day by helping me pick out my FIRST Brow Pencil. read more

I'm 62 years old & cheap. I don't get manicures often. I can count on one hand how often I've had one done. I decided to treat myself yesterday. I had been working lots of overtime the past 2 months and my cuticles were looking crummy. I walked to this salon and they had a brochure with their services offered and prices. $18 for a manicure sounded very reasonable so that is what I requested. My nails were already short so they didn't even need to clip them. Just a little filing, buffing and clear polish. So imagine my surprise when I went to check out and the bill was $35.00! I'm wasnt unhappy with the service but I like to know ahead of time what things are going to cost me. I don't recommend this salon due to the additional, hidden pricing. read more

47 minutes past my appointment and the young man finally got work on my feet. I was so mad I couldn't believe I booked an appointment and it went that far past. The place is very clean and the technician did an ok job. However he was not gentle at all with my feet. I had some gel polish on my toes and he seemed to have a hard time getting it off. When he finally did it took him over 45 minutes to do a regular pedicure. I got there a few minutes before 6pm I walked out at 8:19. Like I said nice facility, but when I make an appointment I expect it to be honored I will not be back and would not recommend. read more

This was my first time choosing this nail salon, my daughter and I always go to different location. I like convenience when choosing I'm not sure of her choice. But I got a basic pedicure and had a nail repair which was $35, I was very pleased with the service and they staff they were quick and efficient. The establishment was very clean and nice you can see the safety in the staff and the decor. What I didn't see was the pedicure chairs being wiped down after each person was finished. She didn't set out a clean towel before she did my nails. She cleans her station during the service with the same brush that she cleans the dust off of my nails with. She didn't speak to me the whole time unless I was talking to her first, trying to tell her how I want my nails. She didn't even ask. she didn't use the cuticle oil before I wash my hands. Her drill was so cheap. It wasn't good energy ever since I walked in the door. My nails are lumpy and NOT the shape I asked for. I wanted to keep them long and square. She filed so much I lost my length and it's not the shape I wanted. Her drill sucks. she did not file well. I need to fix it when I get home. I patiently waiting until 5:00 and a lady walked in and said I have a 5:00 appointment and was seated immediately!!! I went to the desk and asked the gentleman kindly how long would it be, I had an appointment 40 minutes ago. He said "just wait a minute" and followed up with "what do you need". I walked out. This business is currently open during renovation. The salon is coated in dust and the shop items are stacked everywhere. The ventilation is not working properly causing the fumes to be overwhelming. The owner is on site but has no respect for the paying customers. Her only concern is getting things put back in order, proven by the fact that she is pulling her staff into restock conversations while they have paying customers at their stations. Yesterday it was saws, hammers, and other noise elevating tools. Today it is an extreme health hazard with significant fumes and dust. OSHA needs to investigate this mess. It is an extreme hazard for both clientele as well as the staff. How disrespectful and greedy can you get that you won't shut down for a few hours to complete the renovation. I left the salon both itchy and dizzy due to the environmental stressors today. Shame on you for being so disrespectful. read more

This shop always finds a way to turn me off. I was enjoying a wonderful pedicure until one of the ladies comes and stops the man while he is painting my toes and tells him she will finish. Went today after reading great views and I don't know how this shop managed to get such a high rating. My SNS manicure for the most part looks okay, but the shaping is horrible. I already told them I would be back tomorrow for them to fix. What makes me want to give such a poor rating is how unprofessional the techs are. I felt like I was back in high school. The nail techs were talking about customers; Pulling up there shirts to compare body fat on their bellies. They were slightly arguing who was going to work on which customer. I refused to give my tech the full $15 I would typically give a nail tech and she told the lady at the register to raise my prices because of the tip I left her. The prices listed on the website are inaccurate. SNS manicure says 40.00...umm...its 45.00 My daughters fill-in was priced at $25.00...we were charged $38.00 I was hoping to find a nail salon closer to my new home but its worth traveling 30-40 minutes to my old salon.
