My cousin was visiting from out of town and he had mentioned it would be cool if there was a ferris wheel near the ocean. The ferris wheel here came to mind. As long as I've lived here I had always passed by it but never rode it. Upon entering my cousin got excited about the (water gun) game. The employee running it was pleasant and we got a bunch of smiles out of him. It was really fun and my cousin won a super cute tiger for a family member of ours. It came with a hefty price tag though. Before we even played I told him he would be better off just buying a stuffed animal in a store. But the prize he was seeking ticked off all the boxes. Plus there's a fun, enjoyable story to tell behind it. It cost $30 total to win. Yeah I know. It actually was truly enjoyable but if he hadn't been visiting I would have never came to check out this Fun Park. After that we rode the ferris wheel which was a good time as well. You are able to see the ocean from it, which was nice. It was great to have a different perspective of VA Beach. Tickets were roughly $6 a piece. Each ride takes a certain number of tickets and you purchase them at the ticket booth right across from it as well for tickets to other rides. You get 3 full rides around on the wheel. We were the only ones on it too. They do accept credit card but they tack on a 3.5 % service charge to do so. We roamed the rest of the park just to check it out. The other rides look pretty beat. It was so quiet in there, for me that's a plus because there were no crowds and it was rather peaceful. However, it was so quiet that when we looked around I didn't notice the ride attendants standing around their station. They looked like permanent fixtures of the rides. It was eerily quiet for a fun park on a September Sunday afternoon. It would've been a perfect backdrop setting for the beginning of a zombie apocalypse movie. It felt like a place where hopes and dreams come to die. What actually brought life to the park were the colorful, beautiful hibiscus flowers dispersed throughout the grounds. We spent roughly 30-45 minutes there. There aren't many rides and they could use some sprucing up. It has potential. It also has a high price point because it's at the oceanfront.

I'd even go as far as saying this is a good place for a date night for young and mature as it is a casual environment and the expectations are overachieving. If you love 80s vibe carnival settings, this carnival is for you. The carnival isn't vast, however, the rides and games are strategically situated in the right places. I normally don't do carnival ferris wheels, however, this ferris wheel was a very good experience and worth it. The wheel circles high enough to get a good high view of the skyline of Virginia Beach at night. The ride and game attendants were also friendly. Overall a good experience.

Unfortunately, we have been struggling financially the past couple years and it's just not something I could've done at regular price; they've been wanting to go for years. I went to put in my credit card and it instantly said it was the wrong address connected with it. I checked multiple times to make sure it was correct so then I was concerned that my card was declining and called my bank right away. They said it definitely was not on my end. My card was fine so I Transferred the total amount of the sale price to both my cash app and Venmo cards trying both of them as well... It still would not go through. So I called motor world and they told me someone would get back to me which they never did. So then I wrote an email explaining the situation and how I'm not wanting anything crazy just the advertise price THEY emailed ME. I was responded to with an email back basically saying they can't honor sale promos in person or over the phone. It has to be done online, But it certainly was not a scam. Then they continue to tell me how they can can't help me and be sure to look out for more sales on social media. It was almost comical. If you reach out to customers with a promo code, And for whatever reason it's not working on the company's end... The price should still be honored. Anything less than that is horrible business management.

Decided to give this place a try while out on the boardwalk. They have a mirrors maze downstairs…read moreand a Selfie/Funhouse upstairs, so we decided to do both. We did have a 30 minute wait to do the Funhouse so we decided to do the maze first. The maze wasn't very long, honestly probably five minutes or less to go through it, so we basically went back and forth through the maze numerous times to pass the time. I would give the maze a 6/10; it was decently fun, but would've been better if there was just more to it and it was longer. *they take and hold purses/bags with them behind the counter while you're in the maze; you get your purse back before you go upstairs though* As for the Selfie/Funhouse, I definitely loved the concepts/themes in the different rooms and the trippy aspects in each room. I recall there were only 4 rooms and a few decorated/themed walk through halls. I would give it an 8/10; I thought it was pretty cool. Definitely felt like it could've used a few more rooms/interactive areas. For what they provided though, I would say it was a pretty decent experience. You definitely go through the entire thing in about 15-20 minutes, so just like the maze, not very long; really just in and out. After doing it once, I don't see myself going back again unless they were to add some new aspects to the place. My overall rate of experience : 7/10

OMG, SO MUCH FUN!!! :)…read more Well, maybe my experience was heightened by the couple glasses of wine me and the BF drank before tee-ing off...but still, the most fun I've had in ages. We attended on Memorial Day 2008-- the water was still too cold for any serious swimming, which probably explained why the beach was still only sparesely populated. We were the only patrons when we did minigolf- which probably made the experience even better--we were able to take our time at each hole. 3D glasses are sooo geeky-- but really fun in my experience. Everything looked hommade--which probably added to the fun-ness, along with holes that were actually kind of challenging. We laughed, took pics (hope they came out good! :)) and in the end-- me and the BF tied (although i still say the last hole was fixed! If you want a romantically FUN time with a date, something different to do with friends, or something cool to have fun with the kiddies (although because it is DARK in there, you probably want to save it for the 10 and over crowd), this is a great place. My only complaint is that there were only nine holes...i wanted to keep having fun! :)

I think it's great that they're working on improving and adding more exhibits and animals because it's not a very big aquarium. I used to live near the Georgia Aquarium so I could also say maybe I'm a bit biased. I just think there's a lot more they could do with the facilities and they have a lot of land so I feel like they could add more on. $35 was a bit steep for what little they had, but at the same time I'm torn because I know they need it for upkeep and all the animals. I think $25-$30 would've been more reasonable. Where they really shine is they have this huge outdoor ropes course. If thats your kind of thing I'd highly recommend you go check it out. It looked super fun and it was very extensive.
