On top of that, they tried to claim there were additional damages to my vehicle that were never there from the accident, which raised serious concerns about the accuracy and honesty of their assessment. They also never contacted me directly about these charges. Instead, they told my insurance company that anything not covered would be billed to me personally, without giving me any notice or chance to approve the costs beforehand. It honestly felt like I was being taken advantage of simply because my car was already in their possession. Being forced to pay a huge amount with no real work done is completely unacceptable. Do not bring your car here unless you want to risk paying thousands for little to nothing. Get everything in writing and be extremely cautious.

I was told multiple times that my car was simply waiting to be painted, despite it sitting there for nearly a week with no progress. My take on this is if you are over scheduled or just bad at scheduling do not take on additional work! Having my car and I'm sure many others just sit there for 5+ business days is unacceptable. My car took longer to get painted than it did for the actual repair! After escalating the situation through my insurance, the owner contacted me directly, apologized, expedited the repair, and waived my deductible. I genuinely appreciated his response and professionalism. Unfortunately, the experience with the rest of the staff was very different. When I picked up my car, it had not been cleaned as promised, and there was visible dirt on the interior, residue on the inside of the door, and tar/black adhesive on a tire. The estimator, Chris, who had previously dismissed my concerns did not acknowledged me at pickup, did not ask if I had any questions or concerns, and did not even look at me while returning my car back. Not sure if this is because I'm a women or because I complained. I strongly recommend taking your car somewhere else, even if your insurance recommends this shop. The owner clearly cared about making things right, but the overall communication, customer service, and handling of my repair were extremely disappointing.

Later the same day, I received a call from Liz, who handled all the details and took care of communication with the auto insurance agency. Liz did a great job, very nice, and friendly. It was great actually talking with a person and not being put on hold. Our daughter-in-law was extremely pleased when she saw her car, looked great! They were even able to get the work done a lot sooner than what we were first told, amazing! This is a family run business, and you can tell that they truly care about their customers. We explained that a 3'x4' piece of plywood flew out of the back of a hauling truck on the Chesapeake Expressway and hit our front windshield on the passenger side and then flipped and sheared off our passenger side mirror. Even though we hadn't asked for a formal estimate, they went outside and took a look at our car and then started making calls to see if they could locate the parts. They went out of their way to help us. So, they replaced the windshield and the side mirror and they both look/work great. We couldn't be happier with the quality of service that we received. I rear-ended a lifted pickup, and the tow-hitch punched right through the grill of my Jeep, smashing the radiator. As I waited for a tow and called my insurance, I discovered that my husband had removed any collision coverage from our account, meaning any damage was going to be paid completely out of pocket. To make a long story short, Loving's, and especially Corey, worked with me to help make costs more manageable and ultimately do what was best for me financially with the situation I was in. They were accommodating, understanding, clear and upfront, and perhaps most importantly, kind. I have dealt with many a car repair shop in my day, and, especially as a female, I have always been wary of their handling of prices, not a fan of how I am spoken to, and just downright distrustful of the industry in general.
