I was about to purchase a used vehicle when they casually mentioned a sensor issue with the car , something that should've been disclosed upfront, not after I'd already agreed to move forward. They told me not to mention the sensor issue to the bank during financing. Seriously. They tried to hide a known problem from the lender which felt not only unethical but downright shady. That's not just bad business , that's borderline fraud! When I asked to purchase the Contract Cancellation Option Agreement (which gives buyers a short window to return the car), they flat-out discouraged me. They said it "wasn't necessary" and basically tried to talk me out of it. Why? Because they knew something was wrong with the car and didn't want to risk me returning it once I found out. It felt like they were hiding something and trying to rush the deal before I had time to think or protect myself. To make matters worse, the manager Rodrigo Carrion was incredibly RUDE and unprofessional. When I expressed concern, he raised his voice at me even though I was calm, respectful, and there alone. It was completely unacceptable! This is not how business should be done! I would never recommend this place to anyone! read more

I bought a truck from this dealership. I really loved it! It ran perfect when I test drove it. Unfortunately, they had me sit for 5 hours while they "prepared" it for me! I was so excited to own a truck. The first thing I did was a custom paint job. I blinged it out! Within the first month my truck began to fall apart. It shuddered going up the slightest hill, the check engine light came on, and the transmission began to clunk. Apparently, the tires were bald to where the metal was showing. Not when I test drove it! I got estimates from 4 different mechanics and was told I was scammed. That the car dealership turned the check engine light off and changed the tires during the 5 hours I sat in their office. I've spent $10,000 in repairs so far! I couldn't take the truck back because I painted it and I bought it "as is". I would advise everyone to stay away from this car lot! read more

I financed this vehicle on 3/19/2021 a few weeks later (4/21) and just after giving my first payment .. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT turns on and I notice the car loosing power upon acceleration. I drove the vehicle back to Car Masters . It was scanned and I was told it was a "misfire" but the engine and transmission were okay. LIES. I decided to take my vehicle into Hyundai Service Center for an engine diagnosis. Turns out my car needs a WHOLE NEW ENGINE!! I have been car less for 1 month!! Had a GREAT experience---nicest folks around. The only good thing I can say about this place is, the staff is really friendly, but that aside, it's not worth buying from. First off, I saw a Miata online and I offered $7000 CASH because that's all I had. Upon arrival, the price quickly changed because of title fees and taxes. That was off putting, but the car is cute and I really wanted it. They sell cars "AS IS" and you have the option to take it to a mechanic for inspection. They called the mechanic while I was there and spoke in SPANISH, then wrote down the address for me. Looking back, it's now apparent why that was done. At the time, I thought it was them being kind, and like an idiot, I trusted the mechanic's professional opinion (the car is good). The key fob didn't work for the car, the hood was torn at the side, but I overlooked these two factors because I thought "I can buy new batteries for the key fob, it's doesn't cost much" and "the hood can easily be replaced" WRONG! The one key still doesn't work, and I have the feeling they knew that and purposely advise "replacing the batteries". The car is a convertible that doesn't convert because the metal holding the hood up was soooo rusted, the first time taking it off, it broke. The gas tank does not stay full, I keeep filling it up and when I turn on the car the next morning, it's 3/4 full. It's frustrating! I've included screenshots and pics of this. Granted, I'm a 22 year old girl who don't know anything about cars, I was taken advantage of. THE FINAL STRAW! Today the engine light came on! Yes after having the car for 2 MONTHS, I'm encountering problems that costs $3500- $10,000 to fix. . So now I'm stuck with a car I spent over $8,000 on that can't be driven (2 months later) and there's no warranty, because unlike other dealerships, they offer none. So it's time for me to get a new car and visit a REAL DEALERSHIP. read more

I seldomly leave reviews but after the experience I had with Carr Masters Automotive, I have to... Due to a work-related contract requirement, I was forced to acquire a 15-passenger van for the business. I had a short amount of time to do so and having a terrible time finding an decent vehicle which was safe, in good mechanical condition, and had reasonable mileage. The timing was equally terrible as our business is financially extended during our 'off season' (and it was the holidays). I initially reached out to Carr Masters to see a Van they had in stock. I made the trip up to Santa Anna from San Diego and unfortunately the Van just didn't meet my needs. I explained to Rodrigo exactly what I was looking for and drove back home to continue my search. Within a few days I was contacted by Rodrigo who let me know he found and acquired a vehicle that should meet my requirements. I was skeptical, but went ahead and drove back to Santa Anna. The Van was exactly what I needed to be compliant with my contract and in fantastic condition. Literally the best vehicle I had seen, and I had shopped from San Diego to Oregon and Arizona. The next challenge I had was affordability. Purchasing the Van was predicated on my selling one of our fleet Trucks. I had previously had three different dealerships asses the truck I was selling, and they made purchase or trade offers which were embarrassingly low. Rodrigo however was extremely professional and valued my vehicle fairly getting me part way to buying the Van. Financing was difficult due to the strains we were under. But once again, Rodrigo (and Mercedes) was extremely helpful and patient in helping me get the Van purchased. I cannot express how great my experience was with Carr Masters! We have all heard the horror stories of unethical auto dealerships. Carr Masters is in a class of its own... they are professional, conscientious, go the extra mile. And above all... PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY. I purchased a truck from this dealership I called the dealership to let them know I interested wanted to make sure it was available and asked if any issues with the truck since I was coming from San Diego. The sales rep told me the car was inspected but a third-party auto repair shop and ready to go. So, I traveled to purchase the vehicle when I go there, I dealt with Eduardo friendly and honest guy. When I turn on the truck I heard a noise he stated they has just replaced the turbo and the car had been sitting. He assured me the truck was inspected and no issues. I drove home to San Diego the next day I took the vehicle to ford for a oil change and to check that noise out. The ford dealer stated that there's exhaust leak and that is the reason for the noise. I called the dealer and now they are stating they told me about the noise they refused to work me but that okay small claims court here we go. ***WARNING*** Do NOT purchase a car here! Unfortunately, they sold me a vehicle that had to have $1,500 worth of repairs after multiple mechanics checked it out. Within 2 weeks of purchasing our car the check engine light came on, everytime the car was driven it had smoke and smelled like burning fuel, oil was also heavily leaking. I do not recommend buying a vehicle from here at all. Luckily i have the money to fix it. You can tell just by Rodrigo's personality that all he cares about is making a sale. He cannot be trusted. Had an ongoing issue with my last purchase from another lot in the Valley, and have been skeptical since then. Sal and Mercedes put those to rest. It went like this... I emailed about a car that was too good to be true, and Sal wrote me back immediately with answers to everything. I texted that I was on my way, he texted right back and said he'd have the car out front and he'd be there for me. I arrived, the car was brought out front. Offered refreshments and was treated with class. Straightforward and sincere, no sleazy bad vibes, just legit professionalism. This doesn't happen everywhere. While Sal helped a young lady find a way to purchase her first car, and he did, I took a test drive and checked it out -- BMW 535i. Ooo-wee! It was as advertised, and incredible. I went through the usual process with Mercedes' assistance for paperwork. He offered me "real" advice on warranty and financing truly for my benefit. not milking a customer for extras. We even watched Family Feud and they charged my dying phone. I was in and out in no time and I love my new car. See, this is how buying a car is supposed to be. Well where do I start... my husband and I purchase a van from this place because its a dealer and we figure it is safer than buying off of the streets. We pay cash at 10am, we sell our old van at 2pm, we get a call around 7pm from the owner saying the van we purchased is stolen and we have to return it. So we go to the dealership and ask to see paperwork or proof that the van is stolen, he cannot show anything. Gives us our money back, and voids our contract all while repeatedly saying... "this is a legit place, we run a legit place." Well sorry sir if you're selling "stolen" vans you have no clue what you are doing and have no business running a dealership. So we are screwed out of our new van and screwed out of our old van with no van now. If I could give 0 stars i would. I would never buy a vehicle from this place again, even if my life depended on it. Fast forward to today about a month after we purchased the van cash and had this nightmare, now the van is on offerup again asking $5000 more from the same dealership, so yes fair proof that this is a shady dealer who had sellers remorse who wanted to just sell it for more, all while screwing our family royally. Our family still has no van because we haven't been able to find a new one we can afford. Thanks for making our car buying experience a complete nightmare. Owner is very convincing along with workers and honestly worst experience ever buying a truck from them 4 days later check engine light is on I advise them and they said to bring it over so they can check it out and said nothing was wrong when clearly truck had a rough idle on cold start and code said misfire on cylinder 3 and they offered to only change spark plugs and left not even 2 days later check engine light goes on and I take it to get checked same code and call them and let them know and I take it to get checked and there mechanic claims nothing is wrong with the truck and I forgot to mention they only gave me 1 month warranty or 3 thousand miles which ever came 1st and I was back in forth 3 times and they kept clearing the code and code would come back along with rough idle and month passed then boom truck completely shuts off on me took it to a mechanic to get fixed payed $2,400 for repairs and they had claimed in the month warranty nothing was wrong when I know clearly they knew and did not want to solve the problem because it was going to cost them a lot. Never never go to this place. Shop around other dealers not this small dealer. This unassuming hidden dealership is full of wonderful people who genuinely want to help you get into the right car. I came in with not so great credit and they worked every angle to get me approved and in a great car for a great price. Sal, Mercedes and Mr. Carrion (the president of the company) were all instrumental in getting everything done from vehicle inspections, service records. The only thing that can suck for a prospective buyer is that all the cars are on a "first come first serve" basis so if you're not signing that paperwork right then and there, that car could be sold to the next interested party so make sure you come ready to buy. That being said, I've never had such a wonderful experience working with a dealership for used cars that didn't feel predatory or unscrupulous in any way. They genuinely want to help you get into the right car, the money seems secondary to that for them and for that reason alone I will recommend them to anyone looking for well maintained used cars at great prices. read more
