There are so many decisions to make and so many options AND so many stores you can go to...it was hard to know where to start. I'm so, sooo glad I came to Kitchen & Bath Design Center. I'd live to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Gianna who was tirelessly patient with me as I went through the process of finding fixtures, pull handles, faucets, tubs, toilets, etc.. I had no idea what I was doing or what I wanted but Gianna was so patient and so kind. She helped me select and order everything for my two bathrooms and kitchen. She was clear and very communicative about when I could expect my items to be ready for pick-up (an extra challenge with the global supply chain issues). When we hit a snag on just one (of the many) bathroom items I ordered, she and Tom jumped through hoops to accommodate me and fix the problem. So while I hope to never have to renovate anything ever again, if renovations ever are in my future again, I would definitely come back here. I cannot recommend these guys enough! Great family-run business by people who care about their customers AND deliver excellent products. Thank you!!

When we moved to our current home, we encountered several challenges with the original kitchen cabinets and drawers, upon which we further appreciated the seemingly small details that Patty put in that makes your everyday life so much easier: deep enough drawers, convenient back row access, and functional ways of managing blind corners. When we finally decided to remodel our current kitchen, without a doubt, I reached out to Patty for help. She spent enormous time going through the details of what we wanted for the kitchen, brainstorming with me, and then proposed several options for us to consider. She proactively came to our construction site multiple times to ensure the measurements are accurate, and she spent quality time with our construction crew to ensure the installation is perfect. As the project moved along, we had several new ideas and alterations in mind that was beyond our original plan, and every time this happened, Patty always patiently adjusted the design for us. It is really apparent that as much as we did, Patty wanted the kitchen to be as perfect as we have dreamed of, as if it were her own. And it did. We couldn't be more happier with the outcome. Our family have been utterly enjoying all the family cooking and gathering in our new kitchen. We owe this a lot to Patty's superb design skills, practical considerations, and ultimately the strong ownership and professionalism. Thank you again Patty and Signature Kitchen Design!

From the very beginning, Patty listened thoughtfully to our vision, needs, and family's rhythm. I leaned on her expertise and trusted her recommendations completely. I'm glad I did. She took my aesthetics and ideas and skillfully incorporated them into a design that felt deeply "us," while elevating everything in ways I couldn't have achieved on my own. We now have more space, a peninsula where our whole family can eat, all without knocking down walls. This wasn't just a kitchen remodel for us; it was a kitchen that evolved with our family, and one we will enjoy for years to come as we move into the late elementary and junior high seasons of raising our kids. Patty and Kurt put their heart in the heart of the home! Patty said that "it takes a village," and that is exactly what this process felt like: a true village effort, thoughtfully coordinated to bring everything together beautifully. Their attention to detail was outstanding from precise measurements to careful planning, thoughtful execution, and consistent, attentive follow-up with us throughout the project. We always felt cared for, never rushed, and deeply supported in our decisions. Patty and Kurt treated us like partners in the process, not just clients, and their communication was clear, warm, and reassuring from start to finish. Our finished kitchen has exceeded our expectations in both beauty and function, and it brings us joy every single day. Friends, family, and neighbors continue to compliment the transformation and the quality of the design. If we ever need renovation advice in the future, Signature Kitchen & Bath will be our first call. We recommend Patty and Kurt without hesitation to anyone looking for experts in cabinet and kitchen design, genuinely care about their clients, and bring caliber and reliability to a renovation.

They are a terrific design and build company, and we are very happy with the work they did. We hired them in 2020 to complete our kitchen and family room remodel, and were very pleased with their whole process and especially the skilled people they have working for them. We decided to do the rest of our home, and were thrilled they were able to help us again. We expanded closets, moved a wall, took out an old chimney, redid the floors and lighting, put in 5 new windows, and had the interior and exterior repainted. From design to build, they were very professional and easy to work with. It feels like having a construction company in the family. They were respectful and knowledgeable, and every time something unexpected came up, they gave us good advice about what we needed to do and what was optional. Our designer Lisa was very patient with us, as we worked out all the details before construction began. Jason was great as our project manager, giving us good advice when we ran across termite damage and always making sure things were done to our satisfaction. And our electrician, Robin, was amazing - so knowledgeable and made it her goal every day she worked that we were happy with the lighting and fans she installed. Gave us such confidence that the work was done right and will last for many years! I highly recommend Gridley if you want things done right, with no worries. They gave our 67 year old house a much needed update, and we love it.

This is a long review, but the bottom line is this: if you are looking for an honest and…read moreconscientious general contractor who can deliver a project on time and on budget, look no further than Advanced Home Improvement. We needed a major home renovation for our 68 year old home that was beyond our scope of expertise. The project included, but was not limited to: complete new HVAC system, complete electrical upgrade, complete guts and redo of kitchen, main bathroom (that included expanding into an existing closet area), and guest bath, strip-repair-refinish the hardwood floors (1500 sq ft), construction of a bar in an existing family room closet, repair damaged drywall due to house settling, paint throughout the house (including replace all baseboards), installation of canned lighting in various rooms, numerous new windows, and new attic insulation. For this project we interviewed four general contractors. Like many, we had heard horror stories of working with contractors and we did not want to have that experience. Of the contractors we interviewed two were limited in the scope of work they could do and would require us to hire subcontractors on our own and order our own appliances/cabinetry. A third contractor asked us if we wanted our work permitted and if so, we would have to apply for the permits ourselves. The fourth contractor interviewed was Sheryl Kanzaki of Advanced Home Improvement. She is the owner of the company. Sheryl was the only general contractor who was prepared to have a serious conversation with us. She brought a packet of information for us that included such things as examples of the work her company does and has done, certificates of insurance, referrals, and a listing of the services her company provides. This includes architectural review (which we needed due to foundation settling issues) and interior design services. She also took measurements and pictures of the entire house, exterior and interior). Sheryl got back to us within a few days with a detailed bid (the only contractor who did) and we met with her at her showroom. The showroom has not only a conference room and offices for her staff, but displays of tiles, flooring, kitchens, baths, showers, etc. And what is on display is just a sample of what her team can acquire. All of it is higher end, not what is found in big box stores. After going over the line-item details, we later met with her interior design team and they created different ideas for us to consider for the kitchen and the baths. This back-and-forth process with ideas, concepts, drawings & plans, and finally getting what we were looking for took a few weeks. Whenever we had a suggestion or concern the design team listened attentively to us and provided excellent advice. Because we had completely moved out of the house for the renovation the work crew was able to begin demolition and not have to worry about working around us. The kitchen and baths went first. While that was ongoing the electrical system was upgraded, and plumbing work began. It should be noted that Sheryl uses trusted partner companies for work not organic to her team. This included the electrical, the HVAC, and the hardwood floor work. The first part of the project, however, was the installation of a French Drain system around the perimeter of the house to mitigate structural movement due to rainwater collection. Sheryl had a structural architect look at the foundation to best determine what could be done to solve the problem of the house slightly shifting in wet years, thus causing drywall cracks. Because this work is outside of the scope of Sheryl's company, she sent out request for proposals to companies that do this work and provided us with one that could. Once the demo was complete the work began in earnest. For weeks her crews were in the house doing a variety of tasks. While this was going on we worked with the design team to select kitchen appliances, as well as cabinetry (kitchen and baths), and tile for the floors, all of which was ordered through the team. Once ordered, they managed the receipt, storage, and delivery of it all to the house. Throughout the project Sheryl was in regular contact with us. If we had a question on something that was being done, or if she had a question for us, communication was easy. There were no surprises during this project. We were able to regularly check in on the work and often talked with the crews working on the house. Everyone was very kind and would explain the work they were doing if we had any questions. At the end of this six-month renovation project we are thrilled with the results. The kitchen and baths are stunning. The floors are beautiful. The canned lighting, fresh paint and baseboards, and new windows really make the house look brand new. Our experience with this major home renovation was a positive and low stress event. We do not hesitate in recommending Advanced Home Improvement.

Caroline took the lead on design and after a few iterations, we got on the same page. When it finally came time for demo and construction, I got to meet Ellen and Marc. Anytime I had a question, Ellen responded with alacrity and thoroughness. Marc and the rest of the crew were great craftsmen, professional, and polite. (Marc's also got a good sense of humor. I caught Marc singing a Backstreet Boys song one day and had a good laugh with him. Ask him to sing for you.) The crew was timely in their arrivals and always left things tidy at the end of the day. That's not to say that everything in the process was smooth--there were puzzling miscommunications from time to time and minor details to fix toward the end. But, considering some horror stories I've heard from others, these small frustrations pale in comparison.

Research on the internet indicated that that while we could replace the sink at considerable cost and trouble, we could get it refurbished to "as good as new" for considerably less. Further investigation and research revealed that there's a wide range of vendors out there promising various levels of service and a crazy range of prices. We finally settled on Tony due to the fact that he had consistently good reviews and was offering a high level of service at a substantially lower price than the competition. Tony proved to be knowledgeable, efficient, neat and clean. Unlike most of the "how to do it" sites which recommended 2 - 4 coatings in the sink, Tony applied a dozen coats. We were appreciative of the fact that he made sure that the work area was well ventilated and was conscientious about making sure that we were well out of range every time he applied a coat. When he was done, the area around the kitchen sink was immaculate. You couldn't tell that we hadn't had a new sink installed, barring the fact that the grout around the sink didn't look brand new. We had a stain problem in the bath tub which we found intractable. We sought Tony's advice on the matter when he arrived. Before he left, he not only took a look at the problem, but removed the stains. It beats me why anyone would go to someone else to get their tubs and sinks refinished, not only does Tony provide excellent service at a great price, he's the kind of tradesman who's willing to go the extra mile, which is priceless in my book.

Owner Tony sounds like a nice guy but his estimator Alex is definitely NOT ! I need my tiny bathroom remodel/upgraded. I was told by Tony that in a couple days Alex will give me a call for a visit to my place to give me a free quote. I waited for a few days and no one call. So I called Tony again and he was surprised that Alex did not contact me. He told me he will remind Alex again. After another week and still no one called me. So, I called again and Tony assured me that Alex will contact me this Monday or he will come by instead. Finally Alex called but he was trying to brush me off by trying to estimate without seeing my place. I managed to convince him to agree to come by my place to give me an accurate quote. However, the next day, he just simply texted me a $12000 labor only quote without any explanation. I was trying to be polite and asked him for a breakdown of this quote based on items. He refused and told me if he needs to do that, he needs to charge me $250 for that. But, that fee is refundable if I use his service. Talk about BS and disrespectful ! Anyone with a common sense can tell you this is all BS ! Just ask yourself. Will you do this to yourself ? What kind of service, ethic, and professionalism is this. For a tiny bathroom I have, that quote is outrageous. Then, without seeing the place and measure it and quote it, that is BS ! Last trying to charge a hefty $250 fee for a breakdown of the price quote you are obligated to provide, another BS ! I bet he is trying to brush me off trying not to look at my bathroom to give me the quote. May be they have lots of work line up and business is good at this time. But, what comes around goes around. Time will come when karma will catch up to you. To act like a jerk and BS your customer like that is totally unacceptable & unprofessional ! I hope he can find himself back some self-realization to act like a decent human being.
