She returned every call, shipping updates and her attention to detail steered me toward materials cohesive in design. Robert is knowledgeable on construction. He introduced ideas and explained the process, enabling me to communicate with contractors. I gained an understanding of the construction. I walked in, no appointment, felt welcomed, brought photos, measurements, and design ideas. Believe me I was a frequent visitor. Anne selected materials and created the design palette. 1. Anne worked with my measurements to select and calculate floor tile and grout. I had an existing shower accent tile. 2. Anne selected vanity finish and designed a number of drawers and size. 3. Anne selected frosty Carrina countertop for vanity, which is gorgeous and easy maintenance along with the Kohler Ladena sink. 4. The custom mirror was mounted on same finish as the vanity and hanging brackets. Great quality mirror material. 5. Gabby helped select the faucet, shower head and shower valves, all Hansgrohe. 6. Gabby wrote up purchase orders and verified all items and prices. 7. Robert shared his expertise on lighting, tile installation and doors and hardware for the existing closet. He was confident the closet and vanity matched and am so happy with the results. The team was professional, respectful and offered options of material costs, shipping fees, dates and even problem solving as the project began. The showroom displays helped to visualize the remodel. Anne's selection of vanity material, which I would have never looked at on my own, is a stunning piece. The hardware for all the plumbing is on display. The showroom floor is installed with tiles to help visualize size and layouts. Bathroom remodel is a challenge and Home Expo made it enjoyable, upped my game and helped to produce a beautiful bathroom. I'm so impressed with the Home Expo & Design. The sub contractor replaced 5 rows of tile. After a couple of more months, the tile started to rock and grout was coming up like you would not believe. I called Urban Design and they did not reply. we are having a "real contractor" replace the tile. the hardy board was not screwed in properly, and the adhesive did not take. A lot of the tile just came up with no adhesive at all. Thanks for having us pay $5800 again. this time it will be done right. Beware. Cabinets are excellent - countertops are very good, however, I did have to put in a new seal since it was cracked.

We asked Betty to also quote a kitchen remodel option. We enjoyed working with Betty on the redesign and her practical suggestions. Her quote was so reasonable that we decided to do everything. The original estimate of 2-3 weeks, as typical for remodel projects, depending on the problems/complications encountered, stretched out to 5 weeks. Betty coordinated her three different work groups (divided by trade skills) to complete the remodel. At times there were coordination and communication(language) issues where I had to communicate with Betty to resolve and some of the smaller tasks were delegated to less skilled personnel. I felt that it was necessary to actively monitor to ensure things were completed according to plan/agreement. The plumbing, electrical and cabinet work was high quality and the quartz work by Sal and team was superb. Sal made sure that the quartz pattern matched perfectly at the island countertop and waterfall joint. That joint and the 45 degree joint on the sink/stove countertop are completely invisible, as if they were cut from one piece. In the end, we are very happy with the results and are very happy with both our laundry room and kitchen updates by Urban Interior Design.

For all three projects, we've had a positive experience working with the owner (Johans), lead designer (Michele), construction lead, and all of the other specialized workers. And in the end, the kitchen and two bathrooms look great and function well. As with many remodeling projects, there were some issues. However, AKB fixed everything to our satisfaction. Our only complaint would be how long our last project took. To be fair though, everyone we know who has remodeled their home in the past few years has had a similar complaint (and many other worse complaints!), due to the current labor shortage. We would definitely recommend AKB, and we would use them again if we do anymore remodeling in the future. Nacho did an amazing job installing the tiles in both of our bathrooms (see photo).

They handled it promptly and very well. Since my remodel over a year ago AKB has gone through a lot of changes. They had ownership change and also personnel changes. Going back to actual remodeling I want to highlight a few positive things. My experience with AKB was generally positive. They employ good people who are very respectful, friendly and especially skillful in trades. Its been over a year, but I still admire quality of work that was put in. I have done remodeling of the entire house from ceiling to floors. Bathrooms, Kitchen, plumbing, wall moving, wall texturing, paint entire house, door replacing, floors refinishing and more. All employees and subcontractors did a quality job. The only issue I had, was with the prior manager (Sean) due to work delays, cost overruns (due to change orders) and some forced payment schedule, but that's not new to any job of such a magnitude. We have resolved it amicably. Overall, I would recommend AKB and would work with them again. I am qualifying my statement by pointing out that I was almost 14 months since it was completed, but I pleasantly surprised how recent warranty issue were handled. Thanks, Vlad

open to the public and located at 1815 junction ave, san jose, ca 95131...large warehouse filled…read morewith pre-fabricated countertops with finished edges ready to cut and install...choice of quartz, quartzite, marble, etc...adjacent showroom with some basic kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities...some flooring too...limited selection of basic sinks for kitchen and bathroom...needed some countertops for custom vanities and desk...also needed a slab to cut to be used as a backsplash in various bathrooms...randomly stumbled into this location while shopping around the area...majority of the counter tops are 96" x 26" or 120" x 26"...prices are pretty low...don't move the countertops and no delivery offered...picked out a few tops and two sinks...staff are eager to help only once you are ready to buy...they will mark and hold your purchase...called the contractor to have the counter top fabricator pick up the tops and sink...countertops, backsplash and office desk all looked fantastic...sinks worked out too with no issues...large inventory of ready-to-use countertops would be the primary reason to visit cabinet & stone expo...service is nonexistent, but they are great when you are ready to buy and will give you a great price...

They were cutting multiple lanes at a time, ramming in to lanes in the name of merging, tightly - extremely tightly tailgating and overall was a very very loud and reckless driver with just a few mms away from getting in to an accident causing inconvenience to many commuters. they did not change their pattern for soli 15 miles exiting at 280N. I would be concerned what was going on with them while they are trying to promote their brand with the truck calling out the name of the business while damaging the reputation like this. I will never hire them to get any work done around my house. Noped out already.
