Where do I start with this place. I wish I could give customer service and negative star review. The doctors however, are very friendly. The staff are just rude. I've been going here for years and they have lost a customer. They messed up my son's order Never even apologized. Never really tried to make it right and tie demanded that I get the glasses I ordered. My girlfriend and her daughter went there and my stepdaughter went home crying because the lady pressured her into buying a $300 pair of glasses, that she really did not want and anytime my fiancé would say they can't really afford it the lady with just huff and puff and made her feel bad that she wasn't buying her daughter a $300 pair of glasses. After they went home she tried calling in and canceling the order especially once her daughter started crying about it they told her they did and this morning the charge went through on her credit card. read more

Dealing with Visionworks has been a painful experience! I got glasses a few years ago from them and they were quick and efficient. This time...Calls were not returned...Three times. I had to go to a different location to actually get my lenses placed into my frames. I was told it would be a quick process, now that I'm here, I'm told It will be an hour. Went here during the pandemic, they wanted me to wash my hands and change out from the gloves I already had on, I said it was a waste of time putting on my gloves, well you can put your gloves in your pocket and save them. I'm not doing that, I already have gloves on. Well if I have to wash my hands and change my gloves, you should have to wash your hands and change into new gloves too. I have my mask on, you checked my temp but you can't do anything to show me you're being safe, who knows how many people you've touched and interacted with. Why should I take your word for it. Saying no one has touched these glove while they are in your hands handing them to me. At least have some hand sanitizer there so I can sanitize the gloves you just handed me that "no one has touched" I'm trying to protect myself too... read more

I work for a large health system that uses VSP insurance. VSP referred my to the Vision Works at 225 and Mississippi in Aurora, Colorado. The first time I went there 1.5 years ago, they were great. Well I broke my glasses working on my truck about 2 weeks ago. So I stopped in after work today. The associate working at the stoe said she could not help me because they were too busy. I asked her if I should go somewhere else and she nodded yes. I made an appointment Sam's Club next door for next Thursday and hopefully I can make some progress with my vision. I would not waste any time at Vision Works and I will contact the benefits coordinator at my work tomorrow. read more

Everyone I encountered here was friendly and helpful and they have a decent variety of choices for glasses but all very stylish. Received my glasses 4 days before they were suppose to be ready. The Optometrist I saw was wonderful, however, the rest of the staff are idiots. I was told my new lenses would be ready on a given date and that I'd be called when they came in. A week after they were due, I called to see what the story was, and was informed that the lenses had just come in (oh, sure...) because the lab guy had been on vacation for three weeks... Then why the **** did you tell me they'd be ready when the lab was closed?!?! Stupid people. ADDENDUM: I just returned from Visionworks after being told that my new lenses were ready. I went to have them put in my old frames, and was told that the technician wouldn't be in for a couple of hours. That would have been useful information to share. I will find a new source of my eye exams and glasses for my future needs. Ridiculous. If I could get my money back and go get my glasses somewhere else, I would. After a disastrous experience at America's Best across the street, I ended up here because they take my insurance. I did not make an appointment, just walked in, but was seen very quickly. From the first second I was greeted with a smile, and the General Manager (not the one mentioned in an earlier review) got me all signed in and ready to see the doctor. We share a birthday and we chatted for a bit, he was a nice guy and put me at ease. Dr. Kerry Jarvis was phenomenal and after going back today for my contact lens follow up and meeting with her again, I am thrilled to have lucked out on such a great doc. Because they did not have my exact prescription available for a trial pair at the time, they gave me one as close as they had to wear until my new trial came in. I also ordered a 6 month supply to use my insurance benefits before the end of the year. All in all, I got 2 extra months of contacts at no cost. Other vision places will give you a hard time when you ask for your prescriptions but Dr. Jarvis wrote both my glasses and contact prescriptions up and gave them to me without me even asking, leaving me free to shop at a competitor if I want to. All in all a fantastic experience. read more

Went shopping for lenses yesterday. Won't ever go in here nor recommend it. I waited to see a dr for an eye exam because it was due and I didn't set an appointment so I had no problem waiting even though there were a few people in front of me. The wait was about 20 min. and the female dr was so nice! She had a great vibe and was really nice and understanding. Once done, she handed me over to David who would get me set up with my prescription purchase. David didn't have the best vibe, he seems very cocky. He went on and on about how I needed HD lenses and Scratch Protection. I already had a pair of frames so that wasn't apart of the process. After all of that he told me my total was $342...that's sounds bizarre only because I got 2 pair of glasses and frames with the recommended lenses just a year and half before at Americas Best for $109. So I told him it sounded pricey and I would just pay for my exam and get back to him...all of a sudden he comes with a 25% discount...??? So he offers me a discount that I turned down. Then offers me another $50 after I said no. Maybe they get paid on commission? However it rubbed me completely the wrong way and I walked out (after paying my exam of course) Went to Americas Best on Quebec, had absolutely NO wait, as soon as I walked in they gave me the quote I wanted. I asked for the HD lenses and Scratch Protection and an Angel fell from Heaven with a quote of $126....FOR THE SAME QUALITY! For just a basic lens I was looking at $78....wow thanks anyway Visionworks. Definitely won't be getting my business. read more

I hate this place. I paid over $350 out of pocket (not covered by insurance) in February for an eye exam, glasses and contacts. In the exam, I was talked into getting a more expensive brand of contacts. A few months later, my contacts started bothering me so I made an appointment to get my eyes checked out - I pretty much paid $25 for the doctor to tell me to stop wearing my contacts for a week. Of course, that didn't help at all. After not wearing my contacts for over 3 weeks, I wanted to switch back to my old contact brand to see if that would help. They told me that I would have to pay another $75 for a new eye exam. They wouldn't authorize me to order any other brand of contacts without getting refitted. What a total rip off. Aren't annual exams supposed to cover me for the year? I went back to America's Best. They aren't covered under my insurance but I rather pay more to give my business to a company that's cooperative and appreciates their customers. read more

I had a wonderful experience at this visionworks locate in Aurora. Everyone was very helpful and man were they friendly. Catalina was absolutely wonderful in guiding me to find the perfect glasses for me and had many laugh's In the process which was great. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Sowash was also fantastic I didn't have to wait long ever unlike at the doctor's office, which was impressive because there was lot of people there at the time. I wish I had read the reviews before going. The customer service was nothing but disappointing. I walked in for an appointment to a counter with two women. One on the phone, the other typing. The person typing did not say one word. I waited so I wouldn't interrupt her typing. After a couple of minutes I decided to sit down. Someone walks in and the lady on the phone proceeds to help her, answers the phone after about a minute and is now ignoring the customer and me and helping the person on the phone. Someone else walks in and the other lady that was typing now helps them. Other people walk in and another gentlemen walks up to help them. I just walked out after 20 minutes. Both women saw me walk in and sit down so there was no excuse. I didn't want to cause a scene so I called to cancel the appointment and when he asked why I was cancelling I said I was ignored when I came in he said "OK I'm sorry I will cancel your appointment." So needless to say, I do not recommend this location at all. I hope not all Visonworks are the same so I am not going to disclaim them just because of this one location. read more

We called ahead to see if we could order more contacts. The lady over the phone said my last appt was showing in May, so of course I think my prescription is still good. I get to the store and the lady that helped was very rude after telling me the prescription was not valid anymore. Before giving me the chance to respond or seeing what I'd like to do next, she has the audacity to yell out "who's next?" to the other people waiting in line while I was STILL STANDING IN FRONT OF HER. Never seen such horrible customer service. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the lady who attempted to assist me, as after being treated like this I had to walk away. Will not be returning!!!! I have been bringing my children to this location for a few years love their service. I always get treated great even if I have Medicaid for my kids eye care. I had a great experience! Everyone I worked with was really nice and helpful, from the guy who initially did the vision tests to the actual doctor to the woman who sold me my glasses. Everyone had on masks and was constantly sanitizing and was properly social distancing when possible. I'm very impressed and will absolutely be back to this location! read more

This place has to be the worse location, went for an appointment the front desk girl was just so rude and denied my insurance she kept pressing the wrong key, I called my insurance they verified that Visionworks is in network, but the manager along with the girl kept saying no.... My wife and I both ordered new glasses, and after some time realized we had made a poor choice of frames. The manager (Saya? Reya?) so graciously received us when we returned, gave us patient counsel, and was willing to remake the glasses without additional charge. Highly recommended. read more

i agree with Kristine C. this place is terrible! they told me my glasses would be ready i ten business days. after three weeks i called i was put on hold for about fifteen minutes and asked about my glasses. they told me only one pair was in. that means i would have to make two trips. no "effin" way, i live in green valley. they don't know when the the other pair will be in. i am sorry i didn't go back to the store in the stapleton area, where i went two years ago. the service there was excellent. i want to give zero stars but they wont let me. read more

I walk in say good morning first and the store is completely empty there is about four employees standing at the front desk none of them approach us or respond they continue talking to each other . Until one of them says "will be with you shortly". When they were all clearly available but definitely no hi or hello. Or "how is your morning going". If I could give 0 stars I would. Let's start with I was over prescribed for my glasses with a prescription too strong. When it came to ordering contacts. I was ordered the wrong lenses twice. I had to go back to this shitty ass store and deal with incompetent workers again. I will never come back or do business with this visionworks store again. Not to mention they are only interested in reccomending contact lenses that are the most expensive and have no interest in returning un opened boxes of expensive contacts when u had lasik surgery. Yes, I understand they have a policy of over 100 days they won't do it. I called Acuvue and they said they would take them back and even called the store and talked to their manager and still wouldn't refund my money. I decided to go to the Soulands store and had my faith restored in this company. This location is not recommended. read more

Horrible customer service!!! I visited Visionworks on Saturday, Feb 5, 2022. When I walked in, no one greeted me. Two of the 3 employees made eye contact with me, but neither said a word. Two staff member were with customers and the other was working on something. I decides to look around while I waited. Moments later, a customer walked in and the 2 people that made eye contact with me spoke to the customer, even though they were still busy. Interesting! Another customer walked in and 1 of the staff members said to the customer, "we will be right with you." I thought maybe I had been overlooked so I asked the gentleman if there was a sign in areas or something. He asked what I needed. I told him and he directed me to have a seat and someone would be with me. To my surprise, I sat and watched the customers that came in after me receive service and leave before me. Wow!!!! Once I did get helped, the staff was not friendly. Needless to say, I didn't spend a dime and won't. I'm not sure why I was treated this way and can't help but to think it was because of the color of my skin. I was the darkest person in the room but the only one overlooked. read more

Very disappointed in Vision Works on Mississippi, this is not the first time that they haven't got my order correct.But on Sat I went in to find out if my trial lenses had arrived, please note I had been in a month earlier and been waiting for them to give me a call to inform me that they had arrived. I spoke to the receptionist and she informed me that they had not arrived, a young man then proceeded to inform me that he had given me a call to inform me that, they wanted to see me a week after my app to see if my lenses were a good fit. I tried telling him that I had not received any call from them or got any trial lenses, so how could I come in for a check up. He started raising his voice and I had to tell him to lower it. The whole problem as I see it, is that nobody seems to know what is going on and who has ordered what....this is so disappointing as this is not the first time that his has happened to me.... read more

I don't think I'd have them do an eye exam, I've had bad luck with 'doc in the box' places. I did go there with my new prescription. The service was too casual for my taste, kind of... "look and tell me if you need anything". When I got down to ordering, the clerk was nice and generally helpful. I kept feeling like she was nickel-and-diming me. The buy one-get the second free was a bit of a joke, but I ended up with 2 pair for $600. That said, they are the best glasses I have had. Good quality work and great lenses. Picking them up was a 'here ya go' affair. So - really great glasses - really mediocre service. But I wanted glasses, I got glasses, and they really are quality. read more

i thought America's Best was horrible till I went to Doctors Visionworks... this place is absolutely the worst ever~!!!! the manager Joanna is rude n should get her ass fired... shes a liar and horrible with words... i had called to complain about my dads glasses not being in and it had been over a month without anyone from there calling me about details of wat was going on... i ened up speaking with the manager Joanna... she told me "sorry" n PROMISED to call back to let me know what was going on... a week went by... no phone call... when i called upset about not receiving a phone call back like she promised she tells me "well, we've been very busy... even right now there is a line as im talking to you... and I know its not your problem but its been very busy" now i've been in management position before and there are better ways of dealing with the situation... but im jus ranbling now... the story is so long.... in the end... it took my dads glasses what should have been 2weeks... turned into 3months~!!! read more

After 10 days of trying to see/read through my new lenses, I took them to another eyeglass dealer who confirmed they were made incorrectly! No wonder my neck hurts from trying to see thru the bifocal!!! Took them back and salesperson said "they are within 3% of the rx". R u kidding? I want them 100% of the rx!! The employees are all very pleasant and quick to assist with choosing glasses, no pressure at all. Went here to look at frames a few weeks ago .they have a buy one get one free offer .so I pick out a couple of frames they ring up a total of 429.86 that is a lot for 1 pair of glasses.keep in mind this is buy 1 get 1free.I declined .I went back today and figured I would get cheaper frames 139.00 as apposed to 199.99 total came to 488.69 today these guys are crooks .here is how it works .conventional lenses 150.00 add on hd lenses you get 200.00 ad on Anti glare add on additional 150.00 we stopped there .im not paying 500.00 for a pair of glasses. Both times 1 or two other customers now I can see why .for gods sake there glasses not vehicles.how do you justify charging this much money for glasses. read more

My husband and I have been doing here for a couple years now due to the convenience of their location. Their service, wait time and quality is decent. Not stellar, but it gets us take care of. We have purchased glasses, contacts and have even have them remove debris from our eyes before. It's fair in price on office visits, glasses, other accessories. They allow walk-in and can usually have you seen within 15 minutes or so. Love that!! Wide selection of glasses. We aren't there all day, which is nice. Staff is informative. Reception desk is chaotic. It's placed right in the middle of the place and seems scattered. I'd recommend it for anyone that just needs a routine checkup done. read more

This was absolutely the worst customer service I have ever gotten in my entire life. David, a manager, was supposed to be helping me pick out my frames. He suggested one pair and then walked away, never returning. No one checked on me for at least 30 minutes. When I was ready to order my glasses they had a new person helping me who had zero idea of what he was doing. He rang me up 5 different times and the total was different each time. When he asked for help from David he would get a quick answer and was then left on his own again, even though it was clear he didn't know what he was doing. I eventually gave up and left without ordering any glasses. When I called later to complain, David answered and clearly didn't like hearing that he was part of the problem. We got the warranty because the glasses are for a 4 year old. Two pairs of glasses was $500. Both of the glasses had to be repaired and/or replaced several times and for the most part, the warranty was honored without hassle. This earned Visionworks 3 stars and our repeat business. We wound up here for the selection of kids frames. The other stores didn't have the variety we were looking for. We have since found glasses online that we can trust but Visionworks is an 'ok' backup place for us. read more

Had a bad experience at a competitor across the street and was in a terrible mood when I walked in to this store. I was greeted as soon as I came in and made to feel welcome. I already had my prescription so I picked out my frames and waited for the lady to finish with the customer ahead of me. When I sat down with the customer rep, she asked if I had insurance. I didnt, and she immediately told me she could discount the frames for me! After discussing the options for my lenses, she gave me the price, and it was reasonable. when I agreed to get them, she said she had the lenses in stock and they would be ready the following day. WOW WOW WOW! I left in a much better mood. I picked up my sunglasses the next day, they fit perfectly and were exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much! read more
