I am scheduled for surgery the day after tomorrow. It has been a long 3 or 4 months now working with Dr. Burrell to get my eyes into a healthy enough condition to have lasik..... First of all they accept care credit for lasik! Second Dr. Burrell is very careful to ensure your eyes are ready for surgery before proceeding. ... As much as it has taught me patience. Lol. She has checked, double checked and triple checked my eye health before finally consenting to perform the surgery.. There have been days I have wanted to cry because of the work and time necessary to heal my eyes after 20 years of extreme damage done by over wear of contact lenses. So now that I've raved about Dr. Burrell 's skill and quality of care o have to rave about one more person! Casey Casey CASEY! She is Dr. Burrell s nurse and she is the best! I'm huge on customer service and bedside manner if you will and Casey is a rock star at both! When I was ready to pitch the whole idea of having lasik and just totally bummed about my situation she was there just like a friend to cheer me on..! She is literally the best asset this company has! I visited two other Denver area eye clinics for lasik consults and chose Centennial Eye for my final choice based on the rapport I found in Casey! She was my deciding factor! If you're in the market for lasik, this is the place to go. Comparably priced but 10 times better service! I only wish Casey could be with me in the operating room! Her and Dr. Burrell are a great combo team but without Caseys patient conversations, cheerful outlook and excellent patient care I would have given up months ago! Thank you! ! read more

I found this office through my insurance to remove a small cyst from my tear duct. While scheduling was easy and the facility is nice, the actual experience felt optimized for their profit rather than my care. I feel like they completely lost sight of the main reason for my visit. The Issues: Lack of Consent for Testing Before seeing the doctor, a tech administered pressure and glaucoma tests without my prior knowledge or consent. When I expressed nervousness, the tech brushed it off without explaining anything about the test or why it was necessary. Even though my insurance covered it, billing for unauthorized tests is a major red flag. Distractions & Upselling When I finally saw Dr. Burrell, she confirmed the cyst but immediately shifted focus to an "overpopulation of eye mites." I was instructed to buy two OTC OCuSOFT products at the front desk for $60 (which I later found on Amazon for $40). As for my actual cyst? She told me to use a hot compress on it for a month to see if it reabsorbs into my body and to schedule a follow-up. Padding Appointments During the intake, the tech asked about dry eyes. I casually mentioned they only get dry when I smoke marijuana, but they formally added "dry eyes" to my medical chart. The Runaround A month later, the hot compresses had done absolutely nothing. I called to ensure my upcoming second appointment would be the actual cyst removal. Instead, the tech told me the doctor wanted to use that visit to follow up on the "dry eyes" and eye mites, and just "assess" the cyst again before scheduling the removal. It shouldn't take three separate appointments (and three co-pays) to remove a minor cyst. After failing to reach an agreement for cyst removal to be done on my next visit, I canceled my appointment and decided I'll just find another Dr. If you want a provider who respects your time, your consent, and your wallet, I would look elsewhere. I felt "squeezed" for profit every step of the way. read more

I went there and saw Dr Eric Van Meter. He rushed through the exam Way too fast for me to properly see. When I told him the only vision issues I have is the common headlights glare during night vision. He then began heavily pushing surgeries... for cataract and cornea replacement!!!!!! Realy unorthodox and scary. Then they wanted me to pay over $500 out of pocket for glasses and they charged me $65 for the exam-- All of this even though they accept my insurance. read more

I made an appt for 3pm and arrived 15 minutes early to do paperwork. I was taken back to do the preliminary work at 3pm on the dot. After these were done, the tech led me to an exam room. Oops! All the exam rooms were occupied. I was then led to the lobby and the tech told me she would be "right back out" for me. Bear in mind my eyes are dilated. 40 minutes later a member of the front desk saw me get my keys and sunglasses and prepare to leave. She came over and said she saw I had been "waiting for a minute." I told her it had been FORTY minutes. She ran to the back and about five minutes later the tech who had initial abandoned me came out to bring me back to see the doctor. No apology or explanation. When the poor Dr. said "thanks for your patience" I replied that I had actually run out and that they simply cannot leave people waiting without checking in. I understand there are emergencies (not the case here), but even then someone should be checking in. It turns out the unapologetic tech failed to forward my chart to the Dr's. THEY HAD, QUITE LITERALLY, FORGOTTEN ABOUT ME! The doctors here are terrific, but clearly the operation is lacking. But they were sure Johnny on the spot to collect my Co pay.​ read more

My last eyeglass prescription was from CA, so I found this place now living in CO and via my insurance company's website. Dr. Van Meter was very good. His communication during the eye examination was very welcome. The front staff is fabulous and friendly. I bought the glasses at Centennial Eye, and Sue was very helpful and directed me to glasses that fit my budget (I just picked up a pair of regular glasses with progressive lenses and a pair of sunglasses today). The only hiccup is that this place wants to charge more for using a credit card. I dislike this policy with a passion and I nearly landed on four stars for this reason. read more

Very impressed with the facility and patient care. I truly enjoyed Bianca. She provided friendly, thoughtful and thorough care before I saw the doctor. Dr. Van Meter explained things clearly and was patient with my questions. My reason for the lack of 5 stars was the cost of the glasses and other items. I have good eye insurance. My past eye doctor (whom retired recently) provided similar brands of glasses, but I walked out of there spending a lot less than I did today with this office. I will continue to go to this office for eye care, but glasses, I will need to shop around. read more

I've been trying to get an appointment for my daughters and I to get her eyes checked. The customer service level that I have received after going here for so many years is horrible. I was asking for appointment at a certain timeframe to keep all three of us available. All i got in return was I'm sorry we can't accommodate you and here's a form for you and your girls to go somewhere else. I Tried to talk to them again and all I got was sorry for not responding and you're gonna be removed off of our call list. This is the worst customer service ever I will not go back. read more

Ever had a "surprise" eye dialation. Though I told the scheduler I did not have time to get dialated that day, the technician dialated me anyways, saying she was putting in "numbing" drops to measure my corneas , and that they would wear off in 10 minutes. Somehow made it to work only to not be able to read anything. At no point did anyone say "dialate, or don't drive, etc. :, or I would have objected. Then they told me I was a perfect candidate for Lasik, but when I asked how that would affect my lazy eye, the technician argued at length with me and told me I did not have one. What? I have spent a lifetime of being cross eyed but this technician thinks I am imagining it....... Total insanity. read more

When I asked for my prescription she refused to give it to me and made it seem as if I had no choice but to continue business with them, like I wouldn't pay again for an appointment for the same thing. My boyfriend and I both needed glasses so we decided to go to Centinnel Eye recommended by a friend. He has never worn glasses and was very nervous about getting his eyes dilated. The staff was very friendly and explained what was going on step by step. The ladies in Optical assisted him in finding a really cute pair of glasses. He said they were excellent and he would recommend them to his friends. I really enjoyed the whole staff but the ladies in Optical were the best I gave them five stars but they deserve a 10. I have always found the office employees to be friendly and efficient. The doctor I see is great! However the cost of "contact lenses fitting" doesn't equal the time, effort, or overhead. I am a current client with stable eyes. Have been getting contacts for years through CEA. I spend 15-20 minutes with the optician Indicating all I need are the same contacts or maybe the latest version of the same contacts. This costs me $120! read more

I have been a patient with Centennial Eye and Cosmetic Associates since 2015 and I am sad to say that this is a place that does not treat its patients with respect. I went to the clinic inquiring about my upcoming appointment and the front desk personnel were extremely disrespectful. It turns out that they made a mistake on their end and, somehow, I ended up with two accounts under my name. When I asked to see a printout of those two accounts (for insurance purposes), they became extremely defensive and threatened to call security for me. I was appalled by this discriminatory treatment, as it is my right to have access to my accounts. My family and I will never return to Centennial Eye again. read more

I have been a patient of Centennial Eye for several years. Recently, I ran out of Restasis and called to find out if it could be refilled. I fully expected to be told that I would need to come in first for an exam. When I called, I reached a voice mail. I left a message that I needed a new script. No one called back. I called the next day. A woman answered and then forwarded my call to another voicemail box to leave a message for a technician. The tech responded a day later. I made an appointment for an exam. The morning of the exam happened to be during snow storm Selene. I called that morning to let them know I wasn't driving in the storm and rescheduled the appointment. The day before the appointment, the technician called me and asked what insurance I have. I let her know and she told me the practice doesn't accept it. How inefficient! Why doesn't someone answer the main phone, make appointments right away and inquire about insurance rather the several week run-around. I have been without Restasis for a couple of weeks now and need to find a new provider. read more

I actually bought a Groupon for Botox that's how I found out about this place. Now before buying it, I had questions. I called and was happy to find out that the Doctor doing the botox is a board certified surgeon, and she is actually using Botox and not a generic product. I'm always looking for a bargain but glad this office wasn't falsely advertising, as I found out after calling a couple of the places off of groupon! Talitha was super sweet and kept in contact with me before and after my consultation. I most definitely will be making an eye appointment soon because they offered me a optical voucher! They have a continuous customer now and the location was super convenient and office very beautiful. I was also happy and pleased that they accept my medical and vision insurance. Quality is what I'm looking for and have no problem paying for it. Centennial Eye exceeded my expectations in the cosmetics area and have no doubt that they will exceed those expectations for my eye appointment. read more
