They start the appointments at 6:30 a.m. and yet the office building doesn't even open until 7:00 a.m. There is no apparent Security and parking in a virtually empty garage and standing in the front of the building waiting for someone to come down and let you in is simply asking the Patient assume their risk! All of this, in light of a $550 expense for a five minute procedure tends to question if they are Patient Centric.

After paying $4,500 for a surgery that was supposed to correct my vision, I am left with worse eyesight than before. After the first surgery, my prescription was incorrect, and I was told I'd need to wait six months for a follow-up surgery on one eye. During that entire waiting period, my vision was extremely uneven and blurry. I was traveling overseas during much of that time, and it was very difficult and uncomfortable trying to function day-to-day without being able to see clearly. What made it even more frustrating was that I was not offered any temporary solution to help me see better while I waited. When I finally had the second surgery, I hoped things would improve. Unfortunately, my eyesight is still not good. I never had a problem with close-up vision before LASIK, but now I need reading glasses at all times just to see up close -- and my distance vision is still not clear. At my most recent appointment, I was simply handed a prescription for glasses. To be told that after paying $4,500 for LASIK, I should now spend more money on glasses to fix what the surgery was supposed to do, feels unacceptable. I regret having LASIK done here and wish I had gone elsewhere. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone considering LASIK.

I didn't even think I would qualify for Lasik, so I never bothered to look into it until my brother decided to, so we ended up scheduling consults at the same time. The office is so nice, and the staff are amazing! Jessica, Elizabeth, Audra, and both eye doctors I saw were so nice and caring and excited for us to get the procedures! To explain, I qualified for Standard LASIK. Because my prescriptions are so high in each eye, I will not be able to get a revision down the road if my eyes regress a bit. This is OK with me since I haven't been able to see clearly without glasses or contacts for over 20 years, so if I need a couple of contacts to sharpen my sight in 10 or even 5 years, that's fine with me. The biggest benefit is that with Lasik, my eyes will never be as bad as they were before. The surgery was a bit uncomfortable, but it was very quick. I think it took 7ish minutes total. I could see immediately after I opened my eyes, and I started crying because I was so happy and grateful! The next day, my vision was very sharp. I'm really looking forward to the things that stunk with contacts- like skiing and camping and even just seeing the sunrise immediately in the morning. :)

The entire staff here is amazing and extremely nice. We have worn glasses for years and were just over them so we decided to go for it and 20/20 had the best reviews on both Google and Yelp. Like I said the staff in it's entirety from the doctor's to the check in desk and the folks on the phones are all amazing! They definitely know their stuff and information. They are extremely thorough when going through every step you will have done. Beginning to End; The eye exam they will do regardless of if you just had one a month ago to make sure it's perfect and they do all the tests you would at your normal eye doctor. After that they'll let you know if you're a good candidate or not and go forward with scheduling your procedure and your follow up visits! Procedure day you'll get there get your payment set up and they offer financing which is amazing! Then once that is squared away you'll get taken back and go over everything and get your take home bags with your antibiotic drops and eyedrops for afterwards. They will give you the "Valium" (not sure the actual name) to help you keep calm during the procedure and will let that take effect for 20 minutes then bring you into the procedure room and start the procedure. The procedure itself literally took maybe 9 minutes and really isn't painful but they aren't kidding when they warn you about the pressure pushing on your eye during the flap cutting phase but it lasted maybe 30 seconds if that. The nurses in the room with you are AMAZINGLY AMAZING and help you stay calm and let you squeeze a stress ball or their hands. I loved them for giving me their hands because I damn near had a panic attack when my second eye was done. Once I was done they sat me up and we were quickly checked by the doctor looking in my eyes to make sure everything looked good and we went home with our ride. We got home and went to sleep for probably 4 hours then woke up and took the extra sleeping aid they gave us to sleep the rest of the night. Woke up the following day AND I COULD SEE CLEARLY!!! I literally had 20/20 vision the day after! It truly is an amazing procedure and I am so happy we did it. It is worth the money and insurance took a good chunk off surprisingly. I am constantly looking for my glasses and trying to push them up even though I'm not wearing any LOL. DON'T HESITATE!!! COME HERE FOR LASIK!!

Associated Eyecare: - In 2025, I saw Dr. Pethe, who was wonderful, and who released my medical records to the portal like a normal doctor, immediately after my appointment, on the same day, with no follow-up required, and he printed out my new prescription for glasses - In 2026, this week, on Wed 9/9, first receptionist Noemi failed to call me to alert me that Dr. Pethe had left this practice (no wonder why!) *MONTHS AGO*. Instead, I found out during my 24-hour in advance reminder call, not the proper communication, but Noemi single handedly called me to "remind" me of my appointment with Dr. Maleeka Bokhari, who I had no idea who she was, or that Dr. Pethe had left the practice, and this wasn't even a proper communication of the *PROVIDER CHANGE*! This forced me to waste my time on Tue 9/8 calling back, to understand what was going on. At this point, I'm about ready to report to Aetna to refund Aetna's/my money, as well as report to DORA/the CO Medical Board, as this medical practice is a huge hot mess. Now I get to work over the weekend - 1/2 a business day - because Noemi, Alma, and Andrea forced me to babysit them for *FOUR BUSINESS HOURS TODAY* after *TEN FAILED OPPORTUNITIES TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES ON TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY, TODAY ON FRIDAY 9/11/26, the 25th commemoration of 9/11*, after I gave them *THREE OPPORTUNITIES ON WEDNESDAY* to fix their mistakes since 7/31, when Dr. Pethe left the practice, which they also failed on Tue 9/8, causing Emma, their manager, and I to have to waste *ONE HOUR* of my business day today - and weekend, due to economics opportunity cost - to do all of their jobs for them, which Emma is finally: 1) fixing / solving, sending me my medical records from optometrist Dr. Bokhari 2) teaching Noemi, Alma, and Andrea basic customer service, which I was taught age 11-21.

I feel a change in the store's only doctor should do this. I put this on corporate more than the store. The check in was easy as I had updated my vision insurance before my wife and my appointments. I learned that longtime employee Sharon had worked with Dr. Mayburry for 18 years and continues to run the office. She is very friendly and helps check you in, take pictures of the eyes and prep for the rest of the appointment. Kudos Sharon. Dr. Vu is outgoing and really wants patients to feel comfortable. He also went over the eye scans that were done (optional charge of $44 but so much easier than dilating eyes). After the appointment they have you sit with another employee who helps with frames and lenses (contact lenses are prescribed by Dr. Vu) I'm not a fan of their selection but MyEyeDr. does carry many brands including sunglasses. Dave the technician was nice to clean and tighten my current glasses so they fit well. I like that the office offers Saturday appointments. They have a lot of parking shared by other shops just to the right of store. MyEyeDr. takes a variety of insurance and appointment cost is based on co-pay and if you buy other items like glasses. I'm excited to continue my care with MyEyeDr. Cornerstar.
