Well anybody going here that has insurance make sure your eligible for glasses because obviously they can't tell or don't want to know if your eligible or not they even sent me a card saying I was due for glasses they had 2wks to find out if I was eligible n apparently they didn't they told me I was eligible for both of my insurances when I got there so I went and got 2 pair of glasses n paid some for the second pair which is ok well 2 months later I get a bill saying I wasn't eligible at the time of service n now I owe even more money well if I would've known that I would of only got one pair not 2. Since one pair was basically paid for I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!! very bad business practice read more

I got a message from my local VisionWorks saying that a pair of glasses I ordered had come in, but I was told when I got to the store that they don't handle pickups an hour before closing. Makes me wonder why they are even open an extra hour if the eye Doctor leaves an hour early everyday. I think they need to close at the same time the Doctor leaves cause the receptionist on duty can't really do much and they can't sell prescription glasses without a Dr to sign off on the prescription. I did get 2 pairs of glasses and I picked up my first pair yesterday, but wondered why my second pair didn't come in at the same time when my wife who ordered at the same time got both pairs of her glasses yesterday... read more

Get rid of your manager. She is making you lose A LOT of money. I made a appointment for my daughter and they called earlier in the day to get our address and insurance information. gave them that and they said see you at 1:30. I picked my daughter up early from school and we walked into the store at 1:31 on my phone, 1:32 on hers. She was rude from the the get, as we walked in she had a smart look on her face. I think she knew she was about to ruin our day. We were informed by the rude manager upfront that we were 2 minutes late and. now we would have to wait, because they have no grace period and we would have to wait for a while. If y'all have such a strict policy you need to make sure your patients know this. My opinion this lady is miserable and gets off making other people miserable. i would hate to know how much money y'all lose over this ladies poor attitude. Good luck! Had an appointment. The front staff lady that sat on the right when you walking in was very rude. Cancel my appointment and gave me a Big grin and said have a wonderful day bye. And advised it was my problem for her rudness. The other staff member accept fir the mixed race lady are rude as well. The doctors seems to ve nice. But, don't recommend because Visionwork need to restart the whole building accepts doctors and mixed raced lady. read more

Do not waste your time with these people. I called because I had my daughter go get her contacts checked like I was told to do by the contact specialist daughter shows up was told she couldn't be seen because the doctor wasn't in. They gave my daughter an appointment and told her we would have a fee. This is not what I was told. I was told bring her in on the 4th of January to have her eyes checked contacts are under a warranty and there is no fee. Called to talk to office manager and wow the lady that answered the phone "Kennedy " was the rudest person I have ever spoke too. Needless to say my kids drove 45 miles for nothin. Had an appointment today with my father and went in and they said our appointments were cancelled earlier that day. NO we did not cancel our appointments! I really needed this appointment for school and I was very disappointed hearing that they cancelled our appointments for us without our knowledge. We had gotten a call from them asking if we could come in earlier but we didn't answer because it came up as spam risk. However, later we still got a notification saying our appointment was today at 4:15 and 4:30. My conclusion is they cancelled our appointments for us so they could go home early how unprofessional and inappropriate to do such a thing. I will be calling corporate and filing a complaint and they will never be getting my business and I will never recommend Visionworks!!!!! read more

Been here twice for annual vision check ups with my children. They are busy & is to be expected because they are inside the mall. (Appts plus walk-ins) They have many employees that are always friendly. The optometrist works well with my children. Jenny S our last visit was particularly helpful with my son in choosing frames. She was very nice & made small talk with our son to make him smile & feel comfortable. For how busy they are, I feel the process goes fairly quickly. I can be in & out of there within the hour, do some mall shopping, & pick up my frames the same day. Much more convenient & doesn't feel like a doctor's appt. read more

There were helpful people here, but had the worst technician. I just came into the store to check prices of lenses and they ask me if they could see my current glasses. The next thing I know was that they walked out with my glasses broken telling me that the screw that held the lens was stripped. This forced me to buy new glasses and they said they would give me another pair of lenses to compensate for my broken glasses.(which I have no real use of) This whole process took about 2 hours. They also told me that the reason my vision is a little blurry was that my eyes were getting used to the prescription were as my other glasses were fine. They were adamant that they were right. I wouldn't recommend this place, not really professional and has very poor craftsmanship. read more

I went to this place, visionworks at governor square mall in Clarksville Tenn., and they told me I had less money to spend than my insurance had told me. Soooo I was stuck buying a cheaper frame than the one I wanted and couldn't afford ins. at that!! I went home and called my insurance and they told me I had double to spend than what visionworks had told me...! Sooo I could have gotten the pair of Ray ban that I wanted!!! Soooo I went back and explained it all to them and they agreed THEY made a mistake but WOULD NOT return the glasses!! So I had to just get a second pair of cheaper ones that I did not like. I didn't have enough money to get insurance yet again so when they both broke within a few months I was shit outta luck!!!! Thanks visionworks for ripping me off!!!! read more

Very disappointing visit today. Was working from home today and figured I might as well get my eyes checked. At my doctors appointment, the rn gave me a flyer for Visionworks $1 eye exams. Whattttt?! I was sold. I didn't make an appointment; I just walked in. I knew I would have to wait a while, but I was okay with that. I made sure to let front desk lady know i was there for the dollar eye exam. After filling out my papers and Checking in, I waited about an hour or so. Got to the back, did regular tests and waited for doctor to come available. Once back in his office, he asked if I wanted glasses or contact exam. I answered, uh both I guess. Had both exams done. They gave me sample contacts to make sure I could see okay. I could. Then came time to pay. I thought for sure I would be paying $2 for both exams. Boyyyyyyy I was WRONG. Total came to $60. I was shocked. I asked why. Oh, contact exam was not $1, but everyone failed to tell me that. I made sure to tell them to inform other clients as I was suckered into paying way more than I intended. I wish I would've gone somewhere else or waited. I wasn't expecting to pay that. Sigh. Doubt I'll be back. read more

The manager at this Visionworks is rude, unfriendly, and a unhelpful woman. My wife was seen there to purchase some new glasses. The doctor there recommended my wife see a ophthalmologist since my wife had a stroke this past December. While on the original visit my wife picked out some frames and was told the frames would be set aside for her. Instead of the manager understanding the situation her employee created she was very rude and told my wife to just get out of the store. The store is poorly run anyway as the man in front me and I waited forever to talk to someone just to be told to go to another desk. Not a very smooth operation. Perhaps some signs to guide people would be helpful. I wonder how the manager would like her Mom treated after suffering a stroke. I imagine based on what I saw today, she probably wouldn't care about Mom either. The place is disgusting. read more

Walked in and immediately felt unwelcome. Counted at least 5 people working in the front of the store. Not one greeted us. I decided to walk around and look anyway. Tried on 50+ frames and still not one employee addressed us. We left without finding out how much lenses were. Obviously won't be shopping here again. read more

I have spent thousands in glasses and contacts over the last few years here. Well today I call to have my glasses replaced with a warranty I know I purchased because I get the same thing every year and I was told I have none. So I paid nearly $440 for glasses in march and now I can't have them replaced because someone messed up on my account. Everything shows from previous years as well. I ended up having to take both my kids and myself to this location because I couldn't find a place that would take both my Insurance and my husband's together. I called to verify this, and they said "of course!". I work 50 hrs a week during the weekdays so I was stuck, my kids needed eye exams and so did I. So I stayed. The staff was so disorganized, and so much more interested in socializing with each other, than doing their jobs. After a ridiculous wait, 40 minutes after our actual appointment time, we finally managed through the exam process. After that stressful process, we proceeded to checkout and get glasses for my oldest. Which was where they suddenly notified me they didn't take my Blue Cross Blue Shield vision insurance, but they do offer a "discount" for it with glasses purchase. Awesome. Fast forward a month and they still hadn't notified me my contacts were ready for pickup, which I ordered November 27th I believe. So I finally call and ask, which is when they informed me they had "sent me a text a while back". No follow up phone call, no follow up text, nothing. I showed up today to pick up my contacts after all this time because of my work schedule and their store hours, and the clerks were SO RUDE. THey actually sighed at me and then asked me if I knew what I was talking about! He even said in an exasperated voice "are picking up contacts or ordering contacts?". I was floored. It was literally one box of contacts and it took him 20 minutes to retrieve them, apparently. I will not be buying my glasses from here and I will NOT be going back. read more

Save yourself the hassle and walk past VisionWorks and make a right. LensCrafters is right on the left. Why do I say this? Let me tell you. I haven't had an eye exam for at least a year and have never had my pupils dilated. I noticed that my left eye was getting blurry, even with my glasses on. So I did what a normal person would do. I called every optometrist in the area to try and get an appointment today. VisionWorks was the only one with an appointment. When I showed up, it was all good. She then calls me up to the counter to let me know Tricare's system was down so I could pay out of pocket. Negative. There is a toll free number you can call if need be. She then found every reason in the book not to see me. I get it. They were an hour away from closing. After she unprofessionally told my spouse and I that "it wasn't her problem that Tricare was down" we asked her to shred my paperwork. Um okay. With that being said, her unprofessionalism just continued along with a nasty attitude. I walked my happy ass down to LensCrafters where they were able to not only pull up Tricare but also gave me an appointment for tomorrow. They also were professional. Save yourself the time and frustration. Go somewhere else. read more
