Many thoughts so I will summarize:…read more PRIMARILY: DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE!!! The doctors may be good but everything else is a train wreck. At the suggestion of the doctor's surgical coordinator I changed my health insurance, not an easy process, to allow "In Network" care. After a few visits preparing for Cataract surgery I was told I needed a referral from a PCP. Yes, that is common but I discussed with the same surgical coordinator and then it became an issue. More exams...eye measurements, pre op, paperwork, upgraded laser payment, etc...and I had a PCP provide a referral. The original surgery date had been rescheduled due to the insurance issue partly to blame on the surgical coordinator. After confirming a final appointment with the practice prior to surgery the surgical coordinator informed me by phone, the day before, that all that was necessary was to resign the paperwork. On the day of the appointment I arrived at the designated appointment time, checked in, and waited to be called. Thirty five minutes later I asked the front desk the status. At that point they physically took my chart to "the back" to see what was happening. Another ten minutes passed and I asked again as to the status of my appointment to sign papers. A tech arrived and the first words were "Can we reschedule for four days in the future". The surgery was scheduled for nine days from the that day. I informed her that I would be out of town until the day before surgery. I asked to speak to the Practice Manager. I was summoned to her office and asked her what was happening with my appointment. She stated she did not know. I asked how she could not know after four staff members had been involved. She had no explanation. I CANNOT trust my vision to a doctor's practice that does "NOT KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING". Concerned, I immediately asked to cancel the procedure after five visits requiring approximately four hours of my in office time not to mention commute time, insurance time, and waiting time. When I requested a refund of the $2100.00 that I prepaid for the upgraded laser for the procedure. The Practice Manager stated it was not available. I left the office. When I reached my vehicle the surgical coordinator called and asked for me to return. The surgical coordinator claimed the issue that day was due to insurance. Everything was in order per the phone call surgical coordinator the prior day explicitly confirming all insurance was filed, confirming coverage, and stated that signing updated information was all that was needed. I informed the surgical coordinator that I cannot trust the doctor's practice given the MANY issues. Procedure cancelled. DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE!!!

Due to my eye disease, I inquired whether my provider could complete the necessary form. I was informed that my primary care provider (PCP) needed to complete it, which is not an issue. However, my PCP is a nurse practitioner. According to state regulations, a nurse practitioner cannot complete the medical waiver form for my vehicle; it must be filled out by either my optometrist, who is familiar with my diagnosis, or my medical doctor. Given my eye disease and additional issues like migraines and light sensitivity, I find it concerning that she suggested I find another optometrist to complete the form. I do not understand why I am being directed to seek assistance from a different optometrist when my current one should be able to help with this request. Thank you, I will take your advice and find myself a new optometrist.

I usually visit a private dr in Savannah where I live and then before that I went to target optical in the perimeter area. Reflections eyecare is located in the Brookhaven shopping center. Parking is pretty scarce as the shopping plaza is always busy but there are numerous parking garages. I had high hopes for this place because of the location. When I initially called in the gentleman I spoke to over the phone was very courteous and friendly. On my appointment visit I arrived early and was given paperwork to fill out. The rep helping me then was also friendly. I went through the initial eye process then met the dr. The Dr was also friendly and provided me with my new contacts. I also had my eyes dilated. This part was soo foreign to me and I ended up not being able to see for 2-3 hour after. I had to wait until it wore off a bit because I didn't bring a driver. I wish there would've been more communication on that part. My least favorite part was the ordering of the actual contacts. They called me in one time and said my contacts arrived so I went up 1 week after my eye exam and was excited to have contacts... but unfortunately it was just another sample set of contacts. I thought this part was just a tad inconvenient to the consumer because I had to wait another week to actually get my contacts in my hand. They do ship to your house free of charge so that was a pro. They seem to use a third party vendor for your contacts and when I received them they were mislabeled as daily wears... I was confused and also bothered because I ordered a 6 month supply. I called back on the next business day and was told this was actually a 6 month supply & that they're sorry the vendor labeled it that way... very confusing! Final Verdict: I don't think I'll go back here. I'm just used to getting contacts on the same day as my eye exam and I didn't like waiting 2 weeks for my particular contacts. They definitely got the job done as far as my contact needs so they get 3 stars, there were just too many hiccups for my particular liking!

I ultimately do not recommend this practice because of this. My children have been patients of this office for about 18 months now. I had a very difficult time attempting to schedule my oldest daughter's first appointment. My husband and I are both myopic, and we were seeking vision care for her due to extreme motion sickness. I was originally told she would need a referral from her pediatrician, contrary to what is advertised on the company website (appointments available starting at 6 months old, no mention of need for referral). I had to speak to three different assistants before someone would actually schedule us for a pediatric eye exam, with one even saying that she "didn't need it". I had to bring up that it is unlawful for an office administrator to give medical advice and deem my daughter's eye exam unnecessary in order for me to be taken seriously. I should have seen the writing on the wall then. Today, my middle daughter had an appointment scheduled for 9:30AM, but woke up at 7:30AM with a fever and rash congruent with Hand, Foot, & Mouth Disease. After consulting with her pediatrician, I called the practice three times beginning at 8:00AM. I attempted to leave three voicemails, but the answering service hung up on me all three times. I also left two text messages to the practice, which is another standard way to contact them. The day's new priority for my daughter was to get her to the pediatrician to get her well. At 10:00AM I was called by the office manager and told that we missed an appointment and there would be a charge of $80.00 on our account. I informed the office manager that I had been in attempt to contact the practice for hours to avoid any confusion, and that I do not consent to a charge. I have never once been charged by any facility, medical or otherwise, to have to last minute reschedule due to a rampant illness in the patient. The office manager told me the $80.00 charge would be placed on our account, and we could "discuss it being refunded at the rescheduled appointment." I once again told her I do not consent to a charge and offered an excusal note from my daughter's pediatrician. The office manager told me I signed a financial policy and claimed she did not have my credit card information in order to charge me, so my frustration was undue. We are in the Peeps Program, so the practice absolutely does have my credit card information on file. Of course I am aware of the financial policy, but there are no exceptions for illnesses and medical excusal notes are not accepted? Would they rather me bring in a child with HFM? She also told me I could have called or left text messages, and that any one of their office staff or virtual assistants could have responded. When I told her that I did both of those things, she said she couldn't guarantee that anyone would get to me and that the virtual assistants are used for taking notes in appointments only. I asked to speak to the doctor instead, and was told "she could maybe call next week". The office manager used professional words but a condescending tone, scoffed at me, told me I was having "a circular conversation", and effectively told me I was upset because my daughter is sick - not because of the runaround she gave me. Overall, the doctors have both been so kind and patient with my girls, and I have loved the experience of the care they have received there; however, the admin experience is a nightmare. They are unable to take accountability for any shortcomings and ultimately place responsibility on the patients. We are going to do what we need to do to avoid any extra nonsense charges, but we will be finding a new practice.

When it came time to see the doctor, she took her time, treated me very kindly, and above all I felt comfortable during the whole process. This is sooo important and made me feel great.
