Now that my transaction with them is fully done, I feel confident posting this review. I will say from start to finish I can't say it was all a positive experience. I usually visit a private dr in Savannah where I live and then before that I went to target optical in the perimeter area. Reflections eyecare is located in the Brookhaven shopping center. Parking is pretty scarce as the shopping plaza is always busy but there are numerous parking garages. I had high hopes for this place because of the location. When I initially called in the gentleman I spoke to over the phone was very courteous and friendly. On my appointment visit I arrived early and was given paperwork to fill out. The rep helping me then was also friendly. I went through the initial eye process then met the dr. The Dr was also friendly and provided me with my new contacts. I also had my eyes dilated. This part was soo foreign to me and I ended up not being able to see for 2-3 hour after. I had to wait until it wore off a bit because I didn't bring a driver. I wish there would've been more communication on that part. My least favorite part was the ordering of the actual contacts. They called me in one time and said my contacts arrived so I went up 1 week after my eye exam and was excited to have contacts... but unfortunately it was just another sample set of contacts. I thought this part was just a tad inconvenient to the consumer because I had to wait another week to actually get my contacts in my hand. They do ship to your house free of charge so that was a pro. They seem to use a third party vendor for your contacts and when I received them they were mislabeled as daily wears... I was confused and also bothered because I ordered a 6 month supply. I called back on the next business day and was told this was actually a 6 month supply & that they're sorry the vendor labeled it that way... very confusing! Final Verdict: I don't think I'll go back here. I'm just used to getting contacts on the same day as my eye exam and I didn't like waiting 2 weeks for my particular contacts. They definitely got the job done as far as my contact needs so they get 3 stars, there were just too many hiccups for my particular liking! read more

Initially, I thought they were professional & honest. I purchased a pair if Silhouette sunglasses. The case has a magnetic closure. When I grabbed the case from my purse the sunglasses fell into my purse resulting in a few scratches on one of the lenses. When I called them I was told that they had a yr warranty. I was told to bring them in & we'll exchange or fix them. She said it would not be a problem. She knew they were not prescription. When I brought them in I was told that there was no guarantee. He did offer me $100 off of a new pair but they were more than that. It wasn't worth it. The Silhouette manufacturer has not responded. read more

I will preface this with I have never seen Dr. Shultz so this isn't about him, instead it's about the doctor I saw. I left this office with tears in my eyes after the doctor accused me of sleeping in my contacts and developing a degenerative eye condition. She didn't believe anything I said and was very accusatory. She said "well this didn't happen to your eyes on their own" after I told her how often I change my contacts. She offered me no suggestions to get help. I went and got a second opinion at the doctor I had seen growing up, and he said there was nothing wrong with my eyes. Then they "lost" my contact prescription when I called and asked for it. After they found it they wrote the wrong expiration date and brand of contacts on my prescription. Luckily they did extend my prescription one month because of their error. read more

I have mixed reviews for this place. For one I love the eye doctor, he was professional, patient and extremely knowledgeable. For two the service is great - till the point you paid for your glasses. At the last appointment, I was promised my glasses will be ready in a week. After two weeks, I still did not receive a call. On the the third week, I gave a call and they said the glasses are ready and they have already given me a call on last Thursday. In fact, the person who picked up my call supposedly was the same person who called me last Thursday. And I asked "did you speak personally to me?" She said "I can't remember" For one, I am young and I am quite sure I have good memory. I did not have voice mail set up so no way she could have left a voicemail message as well Regardless, I am disappointed that the customer service rep insisted that she called me and so the customer, me is at fault here. I have a difficult eye prescription, and as a consequence, typically struggle to find a doctor that can properly fit me with contact lenses in a prescription that allows me to see well. This full service shop can handle your eye exams and fix you up with a pair of specs, contacts, etc and outfit you with sunglasses. I called about the Scoutmob deal - since I already had a prescription from my eye doctor they offered a $100 credit toward my purchase. Armed with that info I made my way to Reflections Eyecare to select my glasses. They selection is tremendous and the staff was so helpful. We started in one corner and trying on glasses putting those that made the first cut in a box. Once we had plenty of options. I tried on my selections; eliminating those that didn't make the final cut. Then with the help of my trusty professional I made a selection. No pressure. Great advice. Fabulous selection. Reflections has a unique selection of frames. The owner is careful in his selections but will order without having to buy. NO other eyewear store around Atlanta would order outside of their selection unless I agreed to pay for it first. Who does that? Glasses are a personal purchase. You HAVE to try them on. You're not buying underwear. His willingness to order was refreshing and came lighting fast to his store. Within days I was back, and it worked out. I loved him, he made the sale. Win-win. In a rush to make the most of my insurance before my company decides to change to another provider, I found Reflections Eyecare and their awesome reviews on yelp. The appointment making was a breeze. Although the rep on the phone seemed to want to do anything other than taking down my information, I was worried that the information would not be correct butI was relieved to receive 2 text alerts reminding me of my appointment. The clinic is located near the Cinebistro in Brookhaven and parking can be a pain depending on what time you get there. When I arrived, I was promptly given paperwork, asked to remove my contacts and taken to the preliminary exam room to check my vision all within the first 10 min. Wow, is all I can say! I remember countless times that I have rushed to the doctor's office, only to sit in very uncomfortable chairs next to someone who is wheezing/coughing or kids using everything and anything as part of an imaginary jungle gym. I was so glad that I could avoid that here! The doctor was very prompt in seeing me as well. In the actual exam room, the eye view finder (that's what I call it since it looks like a bigger version of our old toys) was computerized meaning that the good doc could control which lens I needed to see through without even having to hover next to me and fiddle with the instruments. He patiently went through and explained everything to me, whether that was what he was looking for (potential retinal dettachment) to even showing me on a large plastic model of an eyeball. I have been going to eye doctors since I can remember, and have been told on numerous occasions that my eye sight would and is getting worse and that I will have to come to terms with being blind within the next decade (super scary when you hear that at 20!). The doctor at reflections eyecare assured me that that was not my case. Now, I am not the kind of person to be easily soothed by kind words, but he actually went and brought out literature and googled supporting facts for my case. Again, just wow! He really just went above and beyond with answering all of my questions. Both he and his staff were very careful to explain what procedures were covered under my insurance and what would not be which again, goes to show their level of great customer service. After my exam, I browsed through their eye glasses and found some potential ones. The staff even took pics of me just so I could take it home and see which ones fit my face shape better. I didn't get the impression that their bottom line was me walking out with new contacts or even new glasses (which would have totaled about $400 that day). It's really nice to be able to go somewhere concerning your health and not have to fend off staff who are more like rabid, used car salesmen. Reflections Eyecare is located in the fairly new Town Brookhaven development. Parking can be a little tight but there's a Publix nearby with plenty of spaces. The office is nicely decorated, although the waiting area is a little small. They are independently owned, so you don't get treated like a number as you might be at the chain opticians like Lens Crafters, etc. Dr. Schultz is who has done both my eye exams. He is a great guy, relaxed and personable while being very thorough. I like how he explains what's going on with my vision and that there are different options to address my issues. In the past, every eye doctor I have been to just told me "Here's what you need to buy. Go pay up front" without telling me why and if I even had other options. It's nice to know that at Reflections Eyecare, there's more than one choice I can make. Also, they make it very easy to make an appointment. Nice staff and they call me as soon as my contacts are in. No hassles with my insurance. It doesn't get much better than that! read more

I saw Dr. Brian Schultz this past Wednesday (9/23/2020) and he was AWESOME. Very knowledgeable, professional but personable. The entire office was conscientious about cleanliness and wearing masks appropriately. I had my appt and was able to fill out the forms online. The front door was locked when I arrived and I called for them to let me in. I was the only person in there at the time, and all of the staff were wearing masks (full covering of the mouth and nose). I did have to hand over my eye insurance and ID card as well as sign some documents; they had a basket clearly identifying clean versus used pens and there was plenty of hand sanitizer available. A couple did come in while I was waiting for my eyes to dilate but they were wearing masks and considerate of spacing. By the end of my appt, they had picked up such that there were 4 patients waiting but everyone was wearing masks and were appropriately spaced (think each corner of the main room). If people tried on glasses they were asked to put them back on the lower ledge to be cleaned before being put back on the wall. Also I have eye insurance so there were no out of pocket costs for me, and I am testing contact lenses for 10-days. As far as my tendency to dry eyes, Dr. Schultz discussed it with me and offered some easy care tips and complimentary eye lid wipes (I actually have used them before so was familiar with them). My partner was out of pocket (no eye insurance) so his total for eye exam (with dilation), contact fitting and glasses evaluation was around $230. read more

I've been going to cheap, chain eye places to save money. Well, the doctor at Reflections spent a long time with me and discovered a weird complication no one else had caught.. Overall, I am very pleased! Dr. Brian Schultz thoroughly performed my vision exam after carefully listening to my concerns that I've had with other optometrists. He made sure I received better results using various methods. BEWARE!!! EYE INFECTIONS!! Went here to get fitted for contacts and was given an eye infection that I'm still dealing with 6 months later!!! The doctor did NOT sanitize anything before performing the fitting, and I'm left with an eye infection that will end up costing thousands to HOPEFULLY get rid of for good eventually. I would not recommend anyone to go here, ever. Not only are they unsanitary, they're prices are 2x higher than any other eye doctor in the area. Trust me, it's not worth the risk of catching what i caught there. The infection I got there may literally keep me from ever being able to wear contacts (eyelids very swollen), and the irony is the only reason I was there was to get fitted for contacts. I saw Dr. Schultz for my exam, and I thought he was friendly, professional, and thorough. He listened to my issues, asked good questions, and didn't rush through the exam. As long as I live or work nearby, I'll go back to him for my eye exams. The price of glasses there is definitely not cheap. I used a $200 groupon and still paid about $475 for frames, lenses and a sunglass clip-on. I'm not sure I would want to spend that again on glasses, but I would recommend Dr. Schultz for exams. read more

I've been here twice and everyone in the office is always very friendly. The area is nice and parking is not too hard to find-- just park in the deck if you don't see any spaces available. I was actually having a lot of issues with my contacts before I saw Dr. Schultz last year but he immediately fixed the problem for me. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Brian Schultz and Mark Meybreg are both pretty phenomenal. I first went to them because of a scout mob deal, but stayed because of excellent service. I typically hate going to do routine check-ups- but these two make it worth while. Dr. Shultz is fast, efficient, and smart. He doesn't waste time and doesn't try to sell you on unnecessary services or products. Mark is absolutely ridiculous. He will sit there with you for hours while you try on pair after pair. He has an amazing eye and always seems to find the perfect pair. He listens to what you like, what your budget is, and then he makes you look fabulous. He also has no problem telling you if that pair that you just love, looks less than perfect. They are honest, warm and overly helpful. I went in the other day to pick up my contacts and Mark noticed my lenses were slightly scratched. He took them off my face, said they were unacceptable, and proceeded to order me new lenses. When I told them that was unnecessary and i couldn't afford new lenses- he informed me that they were under warranty, there would be no cost, and he would not take no for an answer. HELLO. AMAZING. We had just moved to the area, and I was looking to have my new glasses prescription filled here. I picked out the frames, and was ready to order my new glasses. My insurance covered progressives - both a standard or upgraded lens. When I said I had trouble with my current glasses, the lady suggested an upgraded lens. I said OK lets order that one. She couldn't give me a price on that one, and claimed it was because she would be revealing what the insurance company reimburses if she did. She suggested I get the lower quality lens, and if I had issues could upgrade to the other lens, and pay the upgrade charge. She couldn't tell me what that upgrade charge would be. I said I didn't want to waste time having my glasses made one way only to have them made again, so I wanted to just skip those steps and order the upgraded lens. Again, she said I can't give you a price on that one because of "revealing what the insurance reimburses." I walked out not ordering anything, and then called my insurance company to tell them the situation, as Reflections is a preferred provider. The insurance company called them to try and understand what the issue was, as my insurance covered an upgraded progressive. The lady at Reflections now told a different story to the insurance company. Bottom line is this place is either shady, or doesn't know what they are doing.
