So I went to LensCrafters in the mall and had no issues, everything was good. The service was good. The options were good. And with my insurance to price was good too LOL. It's in the mall so you're going to have to fine parking. Most of it's free outside the mall. The store itself when you walk in is very clean and I usually get greeted every time I walk in the door immediately. I always have a great experience during my yearly eye exam with Atlanta Eye Group & Lens Crafters. I use to see Dr. Jones until she had a baby & relocated to another location then I started seeing Dr. B Patel who's been nothing but amazing. I look forward to my appointments with Dr. B Patel because he is so friendly, educational & extremely funny. He truly loves what he does and cares for his patients eyes. Dr. B Patel is very honest & only recommends what is necessary which is not always the case in other medical practices. During my appointment today I interacted with Teddy, Clay & Ramone who all welcomed me with a smile & positive experience. Teddy did all my exams before I saw the doctor & she explained each exam before performing them. I appreciated that she cleaned all of the machines in front of me as you can never guarantee if they were cleaned after the last patient. My interaction with Clay was quick & easy and he introduced me to Ramone the Sales Associate to assist me in the purchasing glasses portion. Ramone was very helpful in helping me decide which glasses to get and explained the benefits of each add on option. This location has a great group of providers and associates and I highly recommend them for all your eyes needs. read more

John, the optometrist, completely saved me in adjusting my glasses that no one at other optometry shops could figure out how to fix. He was very very kind and knowledgeable . Also, he spent 10 to 15 minutes talking to me about proper frame selection: centering my pupil with the lens ensures my eyelashes don't touch the lens, nose bridge length & shape, and how to tell if a frame is too wide or small for my face; I have had glasses since 4th grade and no optometrist or optometry shop has ever told me this even though I always have expressed my confusion when selecting a pair. I came here with R so that he could get a new glasses prescription. He made an appointment, which was the first one of the morning when most of the mall stores were closed. Parking wasn't an issue at all since most of the stores were still closed, and we parked on the first floor of the parking garage near Macy's and Nordstrom. We walked into LensCrafters, and, although they still had the lights off in the front half of the store, they were all ready for business. Two employees greeted us and R told them that he had an appointment. We walked through the store with one of the employees to the waiting area, where R was given forms to fill out. After that, he was brought back to get his eyes checked, his pupils dilated, and everything else that needed to be done. While he was in the examination rooms, I walked through the store, looking at all of the different types and brands of eyeglass frames, thinking ahead to when I will be eligible (through my vision insurance plan) to replace the glasses that I am currently wearing. This LensCrafters location is a big store, and this is probably the biggest selection of frames that I would consider wearing that I've seen at one store. I thought that most of them were on the pricey side, but LensCrafters is known for being quicker on fulfilling eyeglasses orders, and doing it with quality in mind. While I was looking at the frames, different employees asked me if I needed assistance with the frames, which I thought was very good service because they knew that I didn't come in here for any of their services. The employees were very professional at this location. After R was doing with his examinations and had his prescription, he sat down with one of the employees (while I hovered around) to arrange for new lenses put into a frame that he already had and liked, and had brought with him. The employee was able to make the necessary measurements and created the order for R, although it took the employee a while and included some consultation with another employee because I think he was new and didn't quite yet have all the confidence or knowledge that he needed to complete the order himself. Amazing experience! I got an eye exam and the doctor was so patient and kind. When it came time to get glasses, I had a picture of the lenses I wanted and not only did Akeia bring those frames but several others for me to pick from. I was able to get my lenses the same day thanks to Jon - he was amazing; he made sure they fit perfect! Natasha was also so kind helping with everything! I moved out of the Sandy Springs area but still drive to this lens crafts because I consistently have such a great experience - today though was something 1,000% better. This LensCrafters is located on the first floor, just outside of Macy's, of Perimeter Mall. I stopped by here to browse their eyeglass frame collection. This store stocks all the big name and popular mainstream brands. They also have an on-site eye doctor's office. The employee here was very helpful. I wish I'd gotten his name -- he's got long hair, glasses, and a goatee. I'd already been researching frames I was interested in and asked him if the store carried a particular frame by telling him the model number. Immediately off the top of his head, he confirmed with me a description of the frames. I know he works with these things for a living, but still, impressive. Ultimately, I'll probably order my frames online because of better selection and deals. However, I found this LensCrafters to be helpful because I got to try on different styles in person and get input from others. One cool thing about this store is the optician's lab/workroom is on display in the back, so you can watch them fit, adjust, and dispense eyewear. read more

Even their Doctor's don't know what they are doing. They gave me wrong glass prescription in my first visit. I was surprised how come my vision is improved and got to know that doctor made a mistake when I received my glasses with this prescription. Had to visit again to a different doctor and get a new prescription. This one looked correct but what Lenscrafter did to my new Ray Ban frame is something only an unskilled person can do. And no one from their staff could fix it even after multiple visits. See in attached picture how they spoiled shape of a brand new frame. Unskilled and inexperienced staff. I was standing at the eye doctors desk DURING BUSINESS HOURS and the girls was ignoring me for some reason, then she finally says "we're closed " without even looking up at me. LensCrafters told the doctor of my experience and doctor couldn't care less, so I don't know about you but I wouldn't trust my vision to a jackass like that. Probably the reason Doctor can't build their own practice and they are in a mall and pissed off about it. LensCrafters people couldn't be nicer, but they are seriously understaffed and tremendously overwhelmed. You can do better. read more

The paperwork was easy to fill out for my exam and the front desk clerk was quiet friendly and helpful. The appointment started promptly and the lady doing the pre screen exam was thorough and nice. The doctor was great and their equipment is state of the art. None of that old school chart bs. The facility was clean and orderly, overall for an eye exam it was great. Minus the pressure test where they shoot air in your eyes. The Perimeter Eye Group (inside Lenscrafters) could not be any more incompetent if they tried. The woman at the front desk should be fired for her lack of professionalism and customer service. After an exam that made me super uncomfortable, I went back to pick up my contacts, and even though the receptionist was sitting there working, as soon as I walked up, she said, "we're closed". She didn't even look up from her computer. So I walked out furious, but since this was where my prescription was from, I had to go back. I went back again to get my contacts and was told they had to be ordered; so instead of ordering them there and having to go back a 3rd time, I asked for my rx info so I could order online & have them delivered, which she handed over rather rudely. Tonight 800-Contacts called me and said that when they tried to verify my rx with LC, LC told them I wasn't a patient. WTF?! I was just there and was handed my rx in person!! How incompetent can one place be??! So now I have a huge headache to deal with and I have to wait even longer to get my contacts. I hate this place and everyone who works there - save your time and your money and go to a better, reputable eye doctor. read more

Stay away from this store if you are African-American or any other person of color! Last year, I went into the store for a free eyeglasses adjustment. I had also pulled a few potential options for prescription sunglasses while waiting for my turn. Mr. Lab Guy finally came over to me. He proceeded to take the potential sunglass options out of my reach while I asked questions. It looked to me like he thought I was planning to steal them. Please note that in the previous year, I bought 3 pairs of bi-focals from other LensCrafters locations. I spent $1,300 out of my own checking account. We're not talking insurance money here. I called back to the LensCrafters store and spoke to an Assistant Manager. I complained about Mr. Lab Guy. I made it clear that the guy was racist. The Asst Mgr told me that the events that occurred during my store visit were outside of LensCrafters' way of treating customers. Six months later, I returned to the Perimeter store for another eyeglasses adjustment. Lucky me! Mr. Lab Man was on duty again. This time, he scratched up one of my lenses. You can see the various etchings and scratches right where my left eyeball looks out through my glasses. The same Assistant Manager stood less than 10 feet away and faced Mr. Lab Man as he handled my glasses like a 3-year-old child. Again, I called and spoke with the Assistant Manager. Again, he told me that Mr. Lab Man acted outside of LensCrafters' guidelines. Stay away from LensCrafters if you are a person of color. Glasses are expensive! You don't want them to sell you a pair and then damage them less than a year later. read more

I really wish I could post no stars! This review is for the Optometrist Dr. Sinyoung Jun. I went to her for an eye exam and I was not pleased with the results. At the end of the exam Dr Jun informed me what my new prescription was and I disagreed (I felt the prescription was not strong enough). After being assured by the doctor that I was mistaken and that I had a new prescription I agreed to wear the new prescription home (in the form of a new pair of contacts). On the way home I could barely read the smaller font on some road signs until I was directly on top of the road sign. Once I arrived home and confirmed that I indeed had the wrong prescription (I checked my current contact lens prescription) I then scheduled an appointment for that very same afternoon with a new Optometrist. The second Optometrist confirmed my current contact lens prescription therefore making the recommendation of Dr Jun incorrect (as I had thought). Do yourself a favor and don't go to this hack. I can't state this strong enough! read more

I called to say that my trials worked fine and to go ahead and order the contacts. 1st, they tell me that I have a balance. WTF! I paid everything when I had my exam. 2nd, they will insist that they will call me back once they researched my outstanding balance - they NEVER do. 3rd, they are constantly hanging up on me; i swear the lady doesn't seem to understand how to use a phone. When I called to see if my contacts had come in, I had to go through the same process AGAIN! I have never had this much difficulty ordering contacts before and I have been wearing them for 15 years. I have no opinion on the actual lens crafters, but seeing how they want to partner with such an unprofessional company is making me not want to go to another lens crafters ever. I've been going to this location for years and I've never had a bad experience. I usually go to the Perimeter Eye Group for my annual eye exams and then shop at Lens Crafters to find a pair of swaggy new frames. Yes, I buy a new pair of glasses every year! I'm always impressed with their selection of brands, styles, and overall options. The staff is super friendly and I appreciate that their staff will give you honest feedback. In other words, they will tell you if a pair of glasses does or doesn't fit your face. It's super easy to purchase frames, too, especially when you have a HSA. Just browse, select, order, and wait for a week or so for your glasses to be ready. read more

I've called the store, on the rare occasion that someone answers the phone, I get the run around. I've called Luxottica and they say they cannot do anything on their level except call the "market manager." I even live chatted with a representative, and I am still without my glasses or knowledge of where they are. If you can wait approximately one month for your glassesI would say order from here. Called to get some information about my prescription so I could get some glasses made in New York and she would not release my pupillary distance, even to me, the consenting patient. Keep in mind kid, your Rx is good for two years, that means if some point you realized you don't want to pay $200-300 for glasses from Lens Crafters... you will have to measure your PD yourself or have another doctor do it. Very unprofessional service. Firstly they went beyond their one hour service time. We had to come 3 time on the same day just to get lenses fixed to the frame which was ordered with them 10 days back. Secondly, despite even having all our information they fixed some other lenses to our frame!!!! And they didn't even realize that till we told them. Thirdly, after making us come three time in a four hour frame and not giving us correct pair they didn't have a courtesy to apologize It seemed like no one knew what was going on. I had my first true eye exam of my life recently and found out I need to get glasses. They were super nice here. The optometrist was very friendly and answered my questions. They have a good selection of glasses here, but I had to come back with a friend to help me narrow down a pair. The ladies that helped me were really sweet and gave me their honest opinions when I asked. I wanted to at least "like" my glasses since I have to wear them at times now. I heard Lenox has a good selection, but I liked this Perimeter location and think the staff here is friendlier and better. Big mistake! I went online made an appointment for 10am Saturday. I hit submit. Cool. That is done. Get to my appointment and they said they have no record of me. I do a search on my phone and showed her. Then and email popped up while in the office saying to confirm your appointment finish booking. What the hell!!! But after waiting four weeks for my glasses, I called back to find out that the order had not been placed. The staff said that they had tried to call me twice, but no messages or emails were ever left. When I went back, explaining that they wee wrong the first time, they confirmed I was "eligible for lenses and frames" They didn't have the frame in the color I wanted, but offered to have it transferred from another store. I went in for an eye exam and to get contact lens in August 2016. It took over three months for them to order and get my contact supply to me. I paid over $500 for the exam and contact lens up front. The wait was absolutely to long. When I called to speak to someone they gave me the run around. Eventually I was able to speak to a manager who promised me an additional three month supply of contact lens for my wait. The manager lied. I never got the additional contact lens. She just told me something to get me off the phone. I don't recommend this place. read more

I have been TRYING to wear glasses for 10 years! I need a progressive lens and I suffer with Vertigo. I have been to 5 different companies, 8 different prescriptions and several thousand dollars! 3 years ago Sears at Town Center made me another pair of glasses I couldn't wear. The only way they would remake the glasses that they had already replaced 1ce unsatisfactorily was if a different Optometrist ordered a different prescription then their Optometrist . Desperate and broke I ran to LensCrafters in the Town Center Mall. I explained my Dilemma and their Optometrist rechecked my eyes and said that my Prescription was obviously different. I took the prescription back to Sears and they remade my glasses according to LensCrafters specs. For the first time in 10 years I was able to wear the glasses I so badly needed. 3 years has passed since that experience and my eyes have changed. I was terrified of starting the Eyeglass nightmare again! I went back to LensCrafters at TownCenter only to find that the Optometrist they had 3 years ago was gone. I told their new doctor my nightmare. She spent at least 30 minutes checking and rechecking my eyes! I gave the prescription to LensCrafters and picked out my frame. My glasses usually cost around $850.00 a pair! I need the BEST lens due to my Vertigo! The store manager came over and the sales person and manager worked together to negotiate the best price possible! I got 2 pair of glasses with Coach frames for $700.00!!!! I was excited and terrified that I wouldn't be able to wear the glasses! They told me it would take up to 2 weeks to get my glasses because of the delicate prescription. The glasses came back in 4 days! Yesterday I picked up both pair of glasses! I CAN SEE!!! Both pair of glasses are perfect! I am really impressed, relieved and very happy! First of all shout out to Daniel who works at this location. He helped us the whole time were were there. He was so pleasant and nice and he treated us very well. Earlier in the day, my daughter who is 15 months old decided to take my glasses and instead of handing them to me like she ususally does - she tore one arm off completely to where it could not be fixed. Thank the Lord for spare contact lenses kept for a situation such as this!! I headed to the nearest Lenscrafters to get a new pair. Since I was a former customer, my info was in their systems and so was my perscription I just needed to choose a new frame - which is the easy part. If you have AAA you will be in luck because the discount is phenomenal!!! I also had a $75 off coupon from the internet which I couldn't use because I had AAA but I'm sure with that coupon you couldn't loose either thats a great deal. Had a great experience with these guys. I picked up new glasses about two weeks ago. I had a change in my prescription and decided to try Progressive lenses instead of the old-fashioned bifocals. They did a great job with the lenses and frames and got everything to me in a very timely fashion. Unfortunately, I hated the Progressive lenses. I tried the glasses for two weeks and just couldn't live with them, so I went back to the store today. They were pretty busy when I got there, but they took the time to talk with me about my concerns and they're completely changing out the lenses at no cost. In fact, because the new lenses are less than the ones I didn't like, they gave me a refund. I was absolutely not expecting that and would have been thrilled to just break even.
