This was worst experience I have had. I came a week ago to get glasses and my insurance covers majority. Last year I picked out similar glasses and only paid $90. This year was over $300 and I made a comment and was told everything is more expensive this year. I paid and left quickly since I was late for my next appointment as had been in there 90 mins and the manager that did help me was more occupied in doing her other tasks then helping me. Today went and picked them up and my best friend came with me. We have the exact same insurance and her total came to $90. I questioned mine and was told it's because I got the elite non glare and there was a higher charge for my lens. The only thing I requested was a polarization for my sun glasses and blue light on my regular. The manager that helped me was working today but never stepped in to try and help. I love the doctor here but will never be returning. I was "upsold" on a service that was never told or requested. read more

Absolutely the the most painful experience getting all of the contacts I paid for shipped to my house. For a month no one answered the phone at this location and I had to contact Customer Service to request a call back! After going into the location twice to explain that not all the contacts were shipped they still didn't get the order right and I had to call back to the store to speak with someone. The person who answered said I would get a call back the next day. I ended up calling them back a week later to request the correct amount of contacts. It's been 3 months and I still haven't received the complete order. An absolute circus!!!BTW I have been going to this location for years with no trouble at all. I was nervous about getting my eye checked after 9 years! The Dr. was quick, friendly, and explained the whole process to me which helped make me comfortable so we could find the perfect prescription! The staff was very helpful and friendly! Pamela assisted me in scoring some killer deals for 6 months of contacts, new glasses, and some sunglasses! Pam and the rest of the staff is also real which I find refreshing, they would suggest other frame or colors if they thought that the look was not for me! Thank you! very unprofessional and unorganized staff . i don't have anything against the Dr's but if the don't work closely with their staff to deliver contacts or glasses , it effects their own business. Long story short the staff is not informative at all. I paid for contact fitting although I only just needed my contacts refilled prior to my wedding. I called twice after that and they said my contacts are ready. I drive there and it's not the contact I need! So I ask them please order them. 1 month later I call them back! They never contact their clients and she is like you never told us to order them! It's just a nightmare .don't recommend at all! read more

I was taken advantage of by this company. After they received my payment for the eye exam and authorization to bill my insurance carrier, they immediately cut off the rest of my appointment preventing me from placing my order for contact lenses. I went in for my scheduled appointment on 12/8/2020 at 530pm (arrived at 520pm) and went through the vision exam. The assistant immediately provided me with an invoice for the exam. I told her I was going to order contacts and would pay for them together. She said I had to pay separately, which seemed odd to me, since I have always paid Lens Crafters in one payment for both the exam and lenses. She insisted I pay her separately, so I did. Then, I was immediately approached by another employee, Leslie, who told me they were not going to be able to process the rest of my appointment since it was too late in the day. I then asked, "Why did you make my appointment at 530pm if you were not going to be able to accommodate it?" Leslie then said she can take down my credit card information for my lenses order, however, would not be able to process it until she spoke with the optometrist, who was not going to be in for 2 more days. I did not understand why she had to speak with the optometrist, since everything was documented in my file. I told her I did not feel comfortable with giving her my credit card information and would wait till she spoke with the optometrist, since that was my only other option. Leslie said she would call me back in 2 days. It has been a week and I have not heard from Leslie or anyone at Visionworks. I made several attempts to contact them and have not been able to get through to anyone there. After waiting on hold for over 30 minutes, a "Visionworks Customer Service Agent" picked up the phone, then disconnected me when I asked her who I was speaking with. At this point, I am writing to the BBB, VSP Global, and American Optometric Association to file a complaint. read more

So I typically go to the store at Paradise Valley Mall and was near this location so stopped in to purchase a pair of frames. There were approximately five people working in the store and only one other person shopping I asked a couple of questions none of them wanted to help me then when I asked about a specific frame they all walked away and I figured they were going to look for something and they all just went back to chatting together about personal items. It was like pulling teeth to try to get any kind of pricing or coverage information. I would not recommend shopping at this location The staff is not friendly or helpful at all. read more

Visited here yesterday, and it was completely packed. Staff, particularly Tracy and Dr. Fierro were extremely good with myself and both my children. I made an appointment for the three of us online. The system only had two of us registered. Tracy honored the appointment time for all three of us. She worked quickly and politely with all customers. This place is convenient, the staff is nice but the prices, oye the cost - I always wait for the 1/2 off sale; which seems to happen only one week a year. I do like the eye dr and the staff is accommodating but gosh, why do properly fitting glasses need to be so dang costly. Transitions, non-glare, progressives, i know i know but still- i took off a star simply because of cost. I don't dare order online, i do need order directly with a qualified person and have dr available but gosh it keeps going back to cost. I ordered on Monday, one pair was delivered on weds, the second on fri so speed is great. This may have been one of the worst experiences at a retailer or a doctors visit in my entire life. During the exam the doctor kept talking over me, wouldn't listen to my concerns and kept acting like I HAD to have progressive glasses at my age. Low and behold he didn't even have MY chart. He was looking at someone's chart that was 10 years older than me. Not to mention he said I didn't need to dilate my eyes, which I had requested. I'm 100% sure that's because I was their last appt for the day and it would take too long. I don't even know where to begin regarding the staff in the front- 30 minutes before closing they were already telling us they close at 6 and they don't get paid past that so we had to be out. I wasn't given the instructions on how to handle the glasses with covid measures in place (replace the glasses I touch in a tray for cleaning) yet completely got scolded when I touched a pair of glasses. And they turned off the lights 10 minutes before closing clearly trying to usher us out. Horrible experience. I will definitely not be going back even though this is the only place to get the maximum benefit on my vision insurance read more

I went for an exam and the girl at the desk was extremely helpful. The doctor was quick and honest. When picking out frames a lady named Pat (I hope that's her name) was wonderful and very helpful. She gave me her opinion and explained why she didn't think certain frames looked good on my face. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because when I went to pick up my classes a different lady was working and she was so caught up in her personal life and figuring out insurance things for her family on the phone she gave me my glasses and sent me away. I've had glasses for over 20 years and they always need a slight adjustment when I pick them up. I told her it was tight on one side and she said it looked fine. I've had my new glasses for over a week and I still haven't been able to wear them because they are uncomfortable. I'll be back by to have them adjusted and hopefully someone else will be more willing to help. read more

Please don't do business with these people if you ever want to see again. I went in on 4/6/2018 and ordered a new set of lenses for my RayBans, paying $227 (check cleared on April 9th). and was told that they would be in in about 5 -7 business days. Called on April 18th- no lenses, Called on April 20th- no lenses, Called on April 23rd- Who are you? We have no order, the mail is not in-- we can call you back tomorrow-no call back. Called back on April 24th, no mail we will call you back- no call ever came. Called back April 26th, 27th and 28th-no lenses, no call back. May 1st, called them for a status check and was told that thy would call me back, I said "I will call you back in 15 minutes". When I called back, I got a person who claimed that she did not know who I was or anything except that someone had called. We went through the whole scenario again and she informed me that the "COMPUTER" says that they were ordered on April 16th and that the computer can't be wrong. I informed her that the check cleared the bank on the 9th and all I wanted is my lenses and if that is not possible, could I bring a front/back copy of my check and just get a refund- she said no. It has now been 25 calendar days and they have no clue where my glasses are, or if I will ever get my glasses. Oh yes, again, no phone call back. Horrible. After the Doctors visit I purchased 3 pairs of glasses. I even purchased the extra protection for scratches. Within 6 weeks the arm came off on my sunglasses. I got a bad scratch on 1 pair of glasses and the other pair would not hold its shape. I took them all back and was told "too bad, deal with it". The time before this I purchase new glasses from Costco. I still have 2 pairs that are 4 years old and are in GREAT shape. Don't shop here the staff and the products are horrible. read more

I've been going to this location for several years, I'm not sure what happened but the staff has changed. Today I arrived for my appointment and the lady in the dr's office yapped at me that she 'didnt have my paperwork and I didnt return her call'. Well I'm sorry but you: called me, texted me AND emailed me, just how many of those should I respond to? AND I did fill out the patient forms via email-off huffing and puffing she goes 'well we dont have those forms YOU need to do them again'- ok, whatever, I'm not going to argue, I sit down and re-do the forms. Meanwhile she is arguing with the person I am with out their insurance. (again no call back to verify, same thing over and over). We finally get to the pre-appointment and she is calling me 'miss first name'- all right then, but she can't get the eye pressure machine to work, blames me for not looking correctly- sigh. I finally get to the actual eye exam, no problems with the eye dr. More fiascos when I am trying to find glasses- the two uninterested staff they have working cannot be bothered to help- other then to ask 'so what are we doing for you SECOND pair- umm there is no second pair, there might not even be a first pair at this rate! I explain what type of frames I need, what shape etc and they are not helpful at all. I wonder if the 60% off sale is even worth this mess. The person I am with comes out, needs help and the RX seems a bit odd. I hope when these glasses finally arrive we both can see. I doubt we will ever return to this location. read more

ok so i got a lot to say there amazing and i'm typing this without my glasses so bare with me the two gentle men i talked to on the phone to set up appointment and ask general questions were super pleasant and helpful i believe there name was nick and jacob they needed some more info and had to call me back but i missed there call back because i had took my dogs swimming and nick left a message for me to call back to get more of my insurence info then i called back and i got jacob and he was just as nice as nick and they helped me know what to expect and prices and set up an appointment then when i actually went in tracy the front desk lady i talked to to get my vision test set up was the absolute sweetest nicest lady i've ever had to deal with anywhere she was so helpful with figuring out my insurance and helping me with my anxiety i was having due to my trouble with my vision she helped me go thru my paper work cause i missed more then a few little details and couldn't see some of the writing and she was so patient the whole time and helpful and kept re assuring me that "that's what i'm here for" :) this was my second time ever going to an eye dr place and the first place i went to didn't help me with all of my questions so i was nervous the second time around especially cause i was worried that one of my eyes was messed up for good i told her i felt to young to even need glasses in the first place (contacts are way to scary for me i get nervous even doing my mascara if i put on makeup) and she told me it's totally ok and that in fact most really smart people wear glasses and it made me laugh and actually made me feel better i never looked at it that way she is right tho she had such a good aura and energy about her that by the time i was ready to see the eye dr matt F i wasn't at all as nervous as i was when i first came thru the doors matt was super nice and helpful to me and made sure to explain things for me and asked at the end if i had any more questions which is a big deal for me because i always feel like i burden people when i ask more questions after they explain stuff he then led me to my last stop i cannot remember the gentlemen's name but he helped me pick out an amazing beautiful pair of ray ban frames that i was in love with and he made sure to get my mesurments right for my face and explained to me everything's cost with my insurance and helped me get the best deal possible and get everything i wanted like the sunlight tint when you go outside sorry i can't think of the actual name but he was super helpful and made me feel even better about the frames i picked and also agreed that they looked great and were a beautiful color the whole experience was great i love everyone there and i told tracy i'm going to come to them from now on so there my new vision home place haha i'm super gratefull i went there it took my anxiety away with ever having to go there a i look forward to seeing them in the next 10 days to go get my frames to thank them again if you need glasses or contacts go here cause everyone really cares that works there they like job and they want to be there you can tell and they want to help you be happy and able to see :) the whole team is amazing they are the best staff ever (i'm convinced) the whole atmosphere is so friendly you can tell everyone gets along great and they all share the same enthusiasm to give everyone that walks in the best experience they can possibly have so happy i went there and got my eyeballs the help they needed :) read more

HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!!! After seeing two doctors there and each prescription for both glasses and contacts being completely different from each other, I was unable to see out of any of the prescriptions they gave me! So I went back to LensCrafters at the Quarter where I would normally go and was told both prescriptions were completely wrong, not to mention I had a cataract in my right eye. I called Visionworks to ask for my money back for the exams and they refused and told me they would keep examining me till the prescription was right. I have worn glasses for many years and never in my life had to be tested more than once with the prescription being incorrect. I asked the doctor at Visionworks why they didn't tell me I had a cataract and he said that it was just a one out of four. Four being the worst. When I went to a specialist to have my cataract removed I asked what level my cataract was at and was told it was three out of four!!! First of all they didn't even mention I had a cataract and secondly my exams were way off! I would never recommend vision works to anyone. They are a joke! read more
