I schedule a contact lense exam. I called to verify my appointment and to confirm that my copay is $0 for the contact lense exam. The agent agreed that my copay is $0. Then proceeds to tell me that the my copay is $95-170. I asked what am I paying for, he said contact lense exam. I asked him to affirm my copay is zero. He says, "Yes". He could not tell me why I was being charged. There was zero alignment with my concerns. I have not used any of my benefits this year. Honestly it looks like insurance fraud read more

Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had, please do not patronize this location. The optometrist was the worst, expect a 30 minute delay or longer. I experienced some issues with my test contacts and requested a follow up appointment. I made my appointment and when I attended the optometrist was more interested in the contacts received from the side by side location than my current discomfort. She overreacted and did not want to entertain the mistake and or issue. She did not want to consider any underlined issues or possible concerns. Please go where you will be valued and considered, this is not a free visit and it should not be treated as if you do not have options. I was not notified of my contacts arrival so a follow up call was required on my part despite the expectation. read more

Employees don't seem to care about customer service. 2 recent trips. 1) employee tells me insurance can't find me as a customer (she misspelled my name) after moving on to the next customer. 2) due to the wording within my vision insurance plan it's got to be billed specifically, employee walks away from as I tried seeking clarification why her gut was telling me it's not covered. Called insurance 2x in her presence to confirm coverage she but refused to speak to them. With a family of 5 that purchased over 10 frames a year, you've lost my business. AVOID THIS PARTICULAR STORE If I could give a half a star I would. Went in to get some replacement frames to replace my exact broken pair with lens that I bought there because they them had in stock. When I got to the store to buy the the price was higher than was offered than was promised by online representative. The heavyset gentleman offered no explanation. Heavy gentlemen at the was rude and when I told I would not be coming back to his he just stared like a deer in the headlights. No explanation. No I'm sorry. The customer service is awful. Really no customer service. I asked for help and lady in front really didn't want to help. I asked a question about getting the glasses adjusted because the glasses are a bit tight. She took me to the men's and said buy one of these BUT they look like men glasses. I told her I rather have a unisex one or a woman's, since I am a woman and these look like men's (I was wearing a skirt, heels and all.) She said "okay" and walked away. So I just left my "tray" on her table and left. I use to work retail, a manager during the holidays and this place was slow - only one other customer, who came in after me and was being helped. My Background - This is my first time I get prescription eyeglasses and contact lens in the States. I am very naive, believing in the system and not checking the products they hand me. I am very forgiving of bad customer services, convincing myself that the employee might be having a bad day that day. And, I am writing this review after calming down. Experiences - I got my prescription eyeglasses and contact lens in this location on two separate occasions. And I am very disappointed by both experiences. Prescription eyeglasses - I entered the store and the employees did not make any attempt to help me with choosing frames. After looking around and finally deciding a frame on my own, I asked the lady about the different types of lens. When I asked for suggestions, she did not explain anything but replied along the line of, "It depends on whether you can afford it or not". Rude. Rude. Rude. I made an order anyway because I thought she just might not be having a good day that day. Contact lens - Even though my eyeglasses ordering experience was horrible, I thought contact lens ordering should be straightforward since I just needed to hand in my prescription and, voila, they would order it for me. Another lady helped me with this order. So, I ordered the contacts in Nov 2017. I picked up the contacts without checking. It is my first time EVER getting contacts so I don't know what my contact boxes are supposed to look like. And contacts are my backup so I do not use them regularly. Four months in and after using half of my first box, I wanted to order more online. ONLY THEN I realized they gave me the wrong type of contact lens. So, today, 03/11/2018, I went in the store and explained how I got the wrong ones. The lady who helped me with this order told me that I made this order in Nov 2017 and that she would have to talk to the manager before she could get back to me. She "explained" that she put the right information in the system and someone else who ordered made the mistake. NO SINGLE WORD OF APOLOGY. She told me to take my first (open) boxes home, and she would see if she can order the replacement for the unopened ones. SERIOUSLY?! She looked at me like I am trying to leech off the store, and did not utter a word of apology or anything similar. Just one word of "sorry" could have made me forgive their mistakes. I am not coming back to this store ever again, and I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

Dr Wendy Ho has been my family eye doctor for 10 years. It's nice to see a friendly face that cares for my eye health. She taught me how to wear contacts for the first time when I was so intimidated with touching my eyeballs. The store staff next door patiently helped me several times with my eye glasses adjustments. I was dismayed when my husband came home from taking my daughter to pick up her glasses. They just handed them to her and that was that. She didn't know any better as these are her first glasses. My husband doesn't wear glasses so didn't know to ask about fit. Hers new glasses do not fit properly. We have not been in to have them adjusted yet. My experience has not been great either. I picked up my new glasses and was offered very minimal adjustment for fit. I went back in to have them adjusted as they were hurting my nose and behind my ear. The man that helped me worked on them for a while and they fit better, but still not great. I will definitely have to go back for an adjustment. Last but DEFINITELY not least, I paid to have my new RX put into my old frames. When I went to pick them up I couldn't focus with them in. I couldn't explain exactly what was wrong, just that they were not right. Not like the RX was wrong, but couldn't get both eyes to focus. The guy helping me finally determined that the lense for the right eye was off center. They sent them back to be fixed. I am very nervous about getting these back as if Visionworks damages my old frames (which I love and they were expensive) they will not cover damage. So based on my experience I would not feel comfortable recommending Visionworks to anyone. Fingers crossed that I get my old frames back undamaged and that my daughter and I are able to find somewhere to properly adjust our frames! read more

Worst customer service ever! I felt like I was at a used car business as the salesman bargained with me on the price of my glasses. They falsely advertise that you get two for one framed but then up charge for everything! The first quote I was given was over $700. I started to leave and was told he would "give me" a discount. The end price was $350. for one pair of glasses. Very unprofessional and the salesman's hands when he adjusted my frames smelled disgusting. We haven't felt this bad since we were at a used car lot! My wife was trying to buy some prescription eyeglasses and the whole experience was terrible. The clerk, an older women jumped right on my wife as soon as we walked in the door. My wife told her she preferred to "look alone" however the clerk didn't get the message the first time. Eventually she backed off. After finding two suitable pairs, we sat down with who I will now refer to as "CARLA, THE CLOSER!" The frames were around $59.00 but after the upcharges of which there were many that we did not choose, we ended up at $280.00 for 2 pairs with the 50% discount sale. That was after not accepting the ridiculous upcharges like scratch resistance, etc. If we added the stuff that one would think was standard, we would have been over $400.00. I mentioned insurance and she quickly snapped that insurance wouldn't pay for anything. WRONG! I said quietly to my wife, let's get out of here now! We headed to Costco. Surprise! No upcharges. Scratch resistance and everything else they tried to add on at this place were all included. We were asked if we had insurance and the sales person as Costco did the whole insurance thing. Bottom line. We walked out with 2 pairs of better quality with all the so-called options that were already included for a total of $131.96 a difference of approximately $368.00. Horrible customer service!! I assume they are paid on commission as a pushy salesperson pounced on me right away when I just wanted to calmly look for frames on my own. I ended up purchasing two pairs as they had a half off a second pair, but I had to navigate through all the up selling. This was like being in a used car dealership. I paid just as much as I would have at full retail from other eye-wear providers. I checked. When my glasses were done, I walked into the store and I was the only customer there. Only one employee greeted me. My "pushy" saleswoman didn't even acknowledge my presence. I was given my glasses with no offer to fit them. WHAT??? I was sitting down and the man who was helping me was standing up. I had to explain to him my glasses did not fit right and ask him to make adjustments. He never sat down to my eye level to see how they fit. He just kept taking them back and made minor adjustments. Frustrated, I just left. I will find a more professional eyewear provider to adjust them correctly. All the other eye-wear providers I have been to in the past have given me a cleaning rag and some cleaning solution with my expensive purchase and told me to come back for free adjustments or any issues with my glasses. Not here! You get the cases that come with them and that is it and you get pushed out the door. I am sorry I inconvenienced you all by being a customer. read more

I first met Abe about a year ago when I inquired about having a costly pair of glasses repaired. Because of the nature of those glasses, Abe explained that they could not be repaired. (Believe it or not, I had sat on them.) I thought that Abe was not only very nice, but that he had a firm understanding of his craft. Months later, I had a new prescription after a visit to my ophthalmologist, but waited until my daughter was able to accompany me to select a frame. I was pleasantly surprised when Abe explained that Visionworks had a two for one purchase program. I will revisit my review once I pick up my new glasses, and more than likely, will add a 4th star. read more

I called to ask about their special I found online and to confirm they had the frames I picked out online. I was put in contact with Bianca and she checked while I waited on the phone...she confirmed the frames were there so I went in rather than order online. I tried the frames and loved them. They had a BOGO and 2 multi focal lens for $86. but by the time you put lens and add on's in, it was only $150 away from 2 full package sets of some pricy designer frames, so I opted for the sets I had my heart set on. My eyes just went down the tubes in the last week-seriously, I was buying the multi packs of readers from TJMax but they were fine-until about a week ago and I just couldn't focus if I tried. I was desperate to get glasses Stat but since I needed BIFOCALS, the turn around is 10 days so Bianca got my very sweet frames made into loaners until the real guys get here. My only issue is, this set of loaners seems off prescription wise but since I have been in cheap readers, I assume my eyeballs have to adjust to the real lens...having a hard time walking in these/feel a little queasy and my eyes are not focusing and I am seeing some double/shadow-I will talk to Bianca later today and find out if the script is correct and her opinion. Don't go unless you want to make this your second home and have a lot of time to waste. 1. Took 1.5 hours to tell me I can't get my glasses in 1 hour and 3 personnel to figure out what lenses I could get. My eyes aren't that bad and it's only one side basically. 2. Sold me on "special BOGO". It's not really BOGO. 3. Gave me "loaner pair"the next morning. Now we are on day 2 visit. 4. 9 days pass..Called that 1 pair was ready. Why call me if they are not both ready? I have 3 kids...I have time? 5. Texted both pair ready! Great I thought. WRONG!! Sunglasses ready. Glasses NOT READY. Sent LENSES for the loaner pair. WHAT?! Uh no. The right thing would be to send new pair with lenses and take loaners back. LENSES need to be cut and technician is out today... oh course he is. Now day 3 visit. 6. Go back to get lenses cut and put in loaner frames. Gotta drop off and WAIT an hour at least to get. Fourth trip get glasses...$700 and not 1 hour place as claimed. Summary: go to Costco and in 4 days get glasses 1/3 the price. Tip if you have kids...go to JCPenney. They will change our prescription every 6 months for $25. Save yourself the trips!!! My family has been going to Visionworks in Plano for many years and we love them. They are reasonably priced and always seem to be running a special. My son has a high prescription and they do a great job helping us find the right frames to accommodate for the thicker lenses. The customer service has been really good. Specifically Abe, he is awesome. By coincidence Abe has helped us the last several times we have been in. He is very knowledgeable and friendly.
