I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It's been an awful experience. My eyeglasses went in on May 1st and I got them back on July 11. FOUR times they had to be redone. TWO optometrist exams, with him telling me on the second visit my astigmatism had gotten better. In two weeks?? Apparently, he didn't graduate at the top of his class. One time the lenses had 1 side off 5 mm and 1 side 3 mm. The next time the lenses had the vision center skewed to the left. Twice now they have distortion. Mind you, my old glasses had perfect vision and one of these frames I am reusing, so there is NO excuse. I have them back now and they still have distortion. I will NOT give them back to them again. I will change to Walmart and get a new script. I have talked to their supervisor twice and told them I was escalating to her supervisor if they didn't find them. All they can ever tell you is, they are at the factory. They cannot track your glasses anywhere. They don't use any tracking system. The people are nice, but the service sucks. Pretty poor experience as my contact order was delayed with little communication from Visionworks. I had to come in each time to ask for an update as the phone system is not accepting calls. I recommend going to another provider for vision services and products. read more

I went here last year for my eye exam and glasses and wasnt happy but decided to give them another shot because they do have such a large selection of glasses but this year was even worse. They just hire a bunch of young, very unprofessional staff. Im not putting them down because they are young but they just do not care that you are there at all. They are so busy gossiping and chit chatting away with each- other that they dont even bother to check you in or help you. The ladies in the back are more helpful but up front is all bad. I wouldnt recommended spending your hard earn money or benefits for this place. read more

I recently had an exam but wanted to wait to get glasses. When I decided to get the glasses I couldn't get through to the office. Their website is useless. I have tried for two days, to call, and was on hold both times for over an hour. I finally got through to their main customer service, explained the issue, and their people couldn't get through to the Queen Creek office either. I purchased my glasses from Visionworks over 2 years ago. My prescription is fine, but my glasses kept falling off of my face when I would look down. I saw the visionworks on Ellsworth after I got my haircut and thought I would stop in to see if they could do anything for me. A wonderful specialist, Tranisha, greeted me and asked me what she could do for me. I told her and she said no problem. She did kindly tell me that it would be a little bit before she could help me because there were clients already waiting. I said no problem. Tranisha was energetic, attentive to the three sets of customers waiting, and was well versed in the computer system that Visionworks uses. When it came to my turn, Tranisha treated me like I was the first customer there, even though I was the last customer of the day. She was bubbly and listened to my concerns. She took my glasses and analyzed them. Instead of telling me that my glasses were too far gone, she tightened the screws, shaped them, and checked over and over to make sure they were straight. She commended me on the care that I take with my glasses and kindly told me that I need to be mentally preparing to look into a new set soon. When I put my glasses on, I could not believe the difference. This was a perfect ending to my day! Tranisha is the gal to see. She works in the afternoons daily at this location. When my glasses are ready to meet their maker, I can assure you, I will be visiting Tranisha! read more

This was my first time getting an exam in over 10 years and I will never be back. I have never experienced a doctor that was so rude to her patient. The doctors name was Alavi. She made rude comments the entire exam and did a terrible job at explaining what to do throughout it. It was like she assumed I knew what to do and would get mad if I didn't understand. For example I answered her question wrong and she responded with "That's not what I asked!" instead of just explaining it to me. I started just responding with "mhm" cause I had no idea what she was talking about and couldn't stand her attitude any longer. I'm in the medical field so I know how to treat patients and explain exams thoroughly and this was definitely not it. I don't think my eye exam was accurate whatsoever so I pretty much just threw away $10. I'm not sure why she's working this job as it appears to me she hates her profession and working with patients. It's extremely unfortunate considering the rest of the staff was so nice. read more

Great service up until after my exam. It's been almost a month now and I still have not received my glasses. I have called numerous times only to find out that they have closed temporarily due to covid19. would have been nice to be notified being that I had my exam the day prior. Have been redirected to their call center 5 times for updates on my shipping and supposedly has been escalated but I have yet to hear back from anyone. If you have a insurance, be sure to know your coverage. We got one and it covers both frames and lenses. They will insist that the amount of benefit you have just covers the frame. I haven't heard of an insurance company that give you an allowance only for the frame and what's left cannot be used for the lenses. They say " oh you have $200 for the frame" so you will be inclined to buy an expensive frame. When I asked can we just get a cheaper frame so we have the leftover of our allowance for the lenses, the lady there says " you have to pay that out of pocket". But I told her that we already called our insurance before coming there and both frame and lenses were covered but she still insists. We just walk out and call the insurance company again and let them know what happened. If there is a zero star they deserve it. Its like ripping people off instead of helping them save money especially at this time of pandemic. read more

I needed a new pair of glasses and an old pair repaired..They did both! I didn't even buy the old pair at Visionworks. I got an eye exam the day I went in without an appointment. They worked with my insurance through work and I got a great deal on 2 pair of glasses. I got a prescription pair of sunglasses for the first time ever. They have a great buy one, get one free deal. They have a great selection of frames...too many, actually. It took me awhile to pick out my favorites. I'll be going back there when my prescription expires next year. read more

I purchased 2 pairs of glasses. The pair I wear all the time was giving me problems with my eyelashes touching the lens. Unfortunately they adjusted it as much as possible. After a few months, I walked back in and spoke to Raul and Mary about this. Without hesitation they asked would I like to be fitted with another frame and lenses at no cost to me. Both Raul and Mary went out of their way to help me. This is what customer satisfaction is all about. Tracey at this location is great!! I broke the side of my frame this am... and I called her 20 mins before closing. She offered to wait until I got there for me to buy another frame and pop the lenses in. Crisis averted!! Absolutely one of the most incompetent places I've ever had the privilege to deal with. As I sat in the waiting room I witnessed a woman come in and complain about a paperwork discrepancy and then proceed to say she had several issues with the office and would not be returning. This should have been my clue to leave. Nonetheless I proceeded with my exam. The man who did my paperwork and preliminary exams was extremely rude and unkind. The Doctor was nice and my exam with her went well. The front desk had an issue even figuring out how to code and properly charge me. But once they did I went to pick out glasses. I was then told several wrong things about my benefits because the woman helping me had been given the wrong patients information. Once she got my correct info then she billed me and I went on my way. 4 days later I get a call saying that they billed me under someone else's insurance!!!! So I needed to call back so they could charge me again (the first 2 messages said I had already been refunded). I unfortunately had a very busy week and did not have time to call back. Fast forward to today I get a call from Nancy who leaves a message saying I *need to come in* so they can refund me and recharge me. She also says in the voicemail that until I come in that I am keeping the other woman from even getting her exam because of the insurance issues. This makes no sense to me nor my husband who works in the medical field. If the other woman has been rebilled etc then I can see how maybe my insurance would be affected by me not coming into pay my $10 fucking dollars, but I cannot see how someone else would be. So clearly this is a lying scare tactic used so Visionworks can rectify their mistakes and get paid. After receiving this voicemail I call Nancy back letting her know I already planned to come in today. As well as letting her know my complaints and the differences in her voicemail versus the other two I had received. She was extremely condescending. It's not my fault that Nancy and her office don't know how to do their job correctly. I will be going in to pay today, I will be getting my glasses next week, and I will never be returning to any Visionworks establishment. Dr. Alsadi is amazing (That's what the business card said. If it was another Doc there on the 17th of November 2016, then he is Great!), so I don't want this to reflect on him. However, the staff there is friendly, but so stupid. First, we walk in and after twenty minutes, a woman walks up to us and asks if we've been helped. We said no. She said, "Okay, let me do something real quick and I'll be right back." Another fifteen minutes, she comes back. I don't care about this at all. I still would've given them a five out of five if this was the worst part of it. So she asks us if we have insurance for glasses, which we don't. So, she tells us about this great deal where if you buy a pair, you get one free. I ask, "On all the glasses?" She says, "Every one in the store." So, I didn't have an appointment, because we were just going to look, but she said she could fit us in. The girl assisting Dr. Alsadi was efficient, but not friendly. Again, who cares? She did her job. After the whole process of getting my new prescription, I was told to pick out some frames and that the same lady from before would come and help me out. I was there for an hour and a half total and she came up to me three times total and said, "Those look great!" and then walked away. So, where the annoyance is coming from is here. She said "every single pair of glasses is on sale." Then, I had picked out a few brands, because I don't care at all about that stuff. I just want what looks good. One of them happened to be Ray Bans, which she said, "I'm so sorry. That's the only brand you can't get with this deal." What? She said EVERY PAIR could be used. Okay, no big deal. I picked out a few to get so I just put the Ray Bans back. What I wanted when I went in there was one pair of regular glasses and some prescription sunglasses. I looked through every set of sunglasses they had and found ONE that I liked. She looked at the glasses I finally picked for the Buy one get one deal and made sure that my prescription would work with those glasses. I saw her do this and say, "Okay those will work." After all that, we get everything done, paid for, and they say there going to call us in 7-10 days. Three days later, I get a voicemail from a Robin (it might be the same lady. Their voices were similar, but I can't say if it for sure. So Robin may be great, but if it's the same lady, she's a moron). Okay, this voicemail says that my pupil distance will not work with the sunglasses. I found ONE pair of sunglasses that I liked with my face and we paid for them and everything. Now, three days later, she says they won't work! I now have to go back in to pick out another pair. Even if they give us a discount, which I doubt they will, this review stands. I will NEVER go back to this location and probably won't go back to Visionworks ever again. read more

Wouldn't recommend this location. Very frustrating when you're trying to pick up a prescription and the hours are clearly posted on the door yet they're not open. I would've been understanding had a note been posted stating the office had been closed early. Tried calling and it just kept ringing. Came to this location because a colleauge said they were nice. When I called to make an appt I gave them all the information they asked for and was told if they needed anything else they would call me. My appt was for 2 days later. I show up for my appt and they tell me they couldnt verify my insurance and I could pay in full and ask my insurance for a refund. When i asked why they couldnt verify it one lady said they needed my social, she then stated that she called me but couldnt reach me. I know for a fact she didnt call me, when I called her out on the laziness she displayed in helping me, she passed me on the the younger girl to verify my insurance. The older woman seemed to have a superior attitude, while the younger girl was nice and apologetic. The only reason I will return is because the Optomotrist was very nice and professional. read more

I have been wearing contact lenses and having annual eye exams for 25 years. This is the first place to charge me a "fitting fee" for contact lenses. Of course this charge is not covered by my insurance which I don't blame them. Also, when making the appointment and asking about benefits there was no mention of this fee so it was a surprise to me at the end of the appointment. Disappointing experience. Staff is also quite pushy about buying new glasses. I think I said 3 times I was just getting contacts this year as my glasses are a year old and fine. read more

They were great up until the point I found out they were out of network and I would get greater coverage by going to an in network provider. At that point I told them I would need to go to a provider that accepts Aetna Vision and that's when things turned unprofessional and she wanted to start comparing their Buy 1 Get 1 deal and kept insisting I go out and shop around and come back and let her know how much I paid. Frankly I was getting a little mad and decided not to be rude in return and "just leave". She shouldn't treat customers disrespectful, because Visionworks "for whatever reason" is out of network on "what I feel" is a major insurance carrier. She should voice her concerns to VW Corporate and not ask the customer to come back, so she can critique what they paid to an in network carrier. I do like Visionworks. They have a huge selection of eyewear and the ophthalmologist is very nice, but if their not going to be in network I will have to go elsewhere. read more
