Felt belittled and got cut off by the eye doctor. My 1st grader goes to Spanish speaking school and the letter H is not pronounced "ehch" in Spanish. So she got stuck a couple times trying to decide how to say the letter "H." So I tried to find the right time to tell the doctor that she only takes Spanish classes and that H isn't H in Spanish, but he cut me off and I just felt horrible for my daughter and myself. My family has been seen here many times over the past few years. Everyone has their own experience at a place so I don't discount other people's experiences here but for us, it's been pretty good. The staff are friendly and helpful where they can be. We often go towards the end of the year to use up our fsa money so we know they get pretty hectic--everyone's trying to do the same. We just give them a bit of grace and understanding cause they are nearly nonstop busy. I will say though, and this is not completely their issue but my insurance company's as well, all the extra costs for xyz to make your glasses better are $$$. Got two pairs of glasses for my husband which amounted to over $900 after insurance. He's just gonna have to get better eyes. read more

The people working here are knowledgeable, and I was seen quickly within the time of my appointment. The assistant helped me with the first part where they do the three different devices to measure your eye health. The doctor didn't take very long and was pretty quiet, but he got my prescription perfect. I ordered a years worth of contacts and it only took about a week and a half to arrive. read more

Had to go in there five times. Only went there because I have VSP. Went in there for contacts and maybe glasses they said my contacts had to rest so they worked on my glasses first cause it was recommended. They told me that I had an allowance for glasses and contacts then I got my glasses 3-4 weeks later..Tried to order my contacts again, which I originally came in for!!!and they said I owed out-of-pocket cause I should've got my contacts first then an add-on with glasses, which I originally wanted to do! And I left with the same prescription that I originally had. So I could have got my contacts when I originally came in and used my insurance allowance! Got different answers from each employee and no one there knows what they're doing. Worst experience I've ever had will never recommend, will actually do the opposite. Got ripped off money, lied to and disrespected! was told my contacts were covered for a year supply, but only got six months and still had to pay out-of-pocket!! Want to stand outside and boycott!!! I have sort of changed my mind. A few months later. The glasses I got were too short for my ears. I didn't realize that was a thing. Nobody pointed that out to me in the store or I would have chosen another pair. Because of that, they fell off and got scratched. They barely fell at all and landed on carpet. These things must be made with the lowest quality materials. Now, I am the kind of person that buys the best extended warranty for everything. If it is offered, I always get it. I'm an easy mark. There is ZERO chance they mentioned that it was an option. I would have (with no question) gotten it for the $29 at the time. I only found out they offer it because when my wife got glasses the DID offer it to her. So I came into the store to ask. They are very nice people but they said I am completely out of luck. I would have to repurchase the glasses with a 25% discount. These glasses don't fit me right. They scratched easily. No way I'm rebuying them. If the salesperson would have offered the warranty I would have gotten it. So yeah. Poor service. Poor quality. It makes sense why these stores are losing so much ground to online retailers. My review was originally positive (based on my interactions with the people here). I was wrong. As far as the practice of optometry, I don't have any complaints. The doctor was good & my prescription was accurate. It was just everything else that was a disappointment. I would suggest going elsewhere. Downgraded from five stars to one. Why bother having an appointment schedule? I made an appointment 3 days in advance for 1pm. At 10am, they call asking me to move it to 240. I noted that it would work, but I'd have to be done by 3:20. I show up at 2:40 and am told it will be at least 30 minutes before I would be seen. My wife, my daughter and myself all received the same lack of courtesy and just being "short" with each of us as customers. Seriously the most awful place. Of all the vision stores I would say this is the rudest. Went there just to get my glasses adjusted and as soon as I walk in this totally unprofessional blonde girl sitting on her ass behind a table says "excuse me but do you have an appointment?" and gives me a very condescending rolling eyes look after I say no.... then she says "well we are trying to just have appointments no walk-Ins, but someone will help you if they can, put some hand sanitizer on and wait". Wtf. Are you serious? Who talks to people like that. Obviously I left. Scheduled my eye exam with contact lenses which is more expensive than a regular eye glasses exam. They did not tell me they were not going to give me or let me purchase contact lenses due to never wearing them before. Yet you charged me??? 2 months later I go in to get my prescription to just go somewhere else. They refused to release my own medical information to me. So now I have to go to a different eye place to get charged again for another exam. Super disappointing. Telling everyone to stay away. read more

Rude eye doctor. Says you take kids but have ZERO idea how to talk to 5 year olds. Handed him the ever cover and says "here put this on your left eye" my son doesn't know his left to right eye!! Come on! My 5 year old was nervous coming into a eye doctor place in general and this guy made his experience ten times worse. Now, if you can't be sensitive to little nervous ones then say that!!! Trying to get done my new year tasks in January!! One includes my annual eye exam. I appreciated the convenience of being able to schedule an eye exam appointment online. It appeared that you could schedule same-day appointments with many appointment times available. My appointment was scheduled for 1:30 on a Friday afternoon. The recommendation is to arrive 10 minutes early for the appointment. I arrived at 1:20 as suggested. I was checked in right away but had to wait quite some time for my actual exam. I was not seen by the optometrist until 2:06 This means I actually waited 36 minutes before having my SCHEDULED eye exam. This was poor customer service in my opinion. I'm thinking that appointments are overbooked to ensure that they are able to bill a certain number of clients per day. Perhaps this doesn't occur at every location but waiting 36 minutes for a scheduled appointment is too long in my opinion. The staff/optometrist however were very friendly. read more

She made us wait 45 minutes to purchase glasses while she helped two white customers who had came after with nothing of real priority that is until a black woman came in then she decides to acknowledge us and says that she 'has people ahead'. Being someone with definitely not 20-20 vision, I get skeptical about where I purchase my eyewear. After passing on two previous stores due to price or just not feeling comfortable with, I decided to try the store close to my location at 1785 Radio Drive in Woodbury, MN. Am i glad i did! These ladies were the best in helping an old guy feel comfortable with my glasses purchase and helping with the whole process. They also had a deal on two pair, one regular and one sunglasses which I ended up getting. Not knowing how they would turn out due to the degree of my current prescription, I was still a tad worried about how they would turn out. Well, they turned out JUST GREAT!!! You ladies are truly the best, period. You made me very happy. And actually the first time having a pair of sunglasses after the last pair I received many years ago at another store is truly amazing.
