I've been seeing Joni since she was at Nordstrom, which was years ago. I am very particular and Joni seems to never fail with getting my shape correct. Probably why I have followed her here. The little studio is super cute and homey, I love the friendly feel. Even though it is all street parking, it's in an area where parking is still free in PDX and usually can find a spot right in front of the studio. I've only had a manicure one other time (another popular nail salon in PDX I won't name) so it's not something I usually treat myself to. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding so wanted something that would look great and be durable. I had a gel manicure w/ Pamela (I didn't know who my appt would be with btw). She was so friendly! She made me feel really comfortable. She would chat with me, and then she would let me zone out and people watch which I really appreciated. She made me feel relaxed before a really hectic trip. The studio itself is really nice. Really bright and windows! Everyone there was nice and friendly and they have a lot of nice color options. They offered tea or water which was delightful. I booked another appt with her which is really rare for me to do (especially for a service I don't ever get) but I just loved how my nails turned out and how they have lasted that I feel like it is really worth it to be a regular client of Pamela's. read more

First of all, I appreciate that there are no TVs blaring at you. This is a small lovely spot to get a no-stress pedicure. They use copper tubs instead of jetted tubs, which I loved. I wanted to write an update since it's been a while since my last review. I've been getting my manicures and pedicures from Pamela lately and she has been doing a great job. She's very through and gives a great leg massage. My pedicures always look great for at least a couple of weeks and my manicures last at least 5 days. She's easy to talk to and the space at Visit is so relaxing. I love going to Visit because I always feel better when I leave. My feet feel and look great, which makes me happy. If you haven't been to Visit you should really put this place on your radar. The services are top notch and they have online booking, which I absolutely love. Came in for a Martini Manicure with Haley and I couldn't be happier!! Their studio is unlike any I've experienced elsewhere and here in Portland -- very clean, bright and cozy vibe. They took all the COVID precautions without it feeling awkward or impersonal which has happened at a couple salons I recently visited. Haley was the sweetest to talk to, even patiently helped me decide my multiple color design I was hoping to have for Valentine's Day. I am still an every 5-6 week patron of this lovely establishment every since it's opening (and a client of Renee's for years prior) for regular pedicures and eyebrow maintenance. I still choose to come here even after moving to the westside so it's safe to say I wouldn't go anywhere else. I used to only see Renee for my pedicures but have had the pleasure of getting to know each of the staff here and I love them all and their work. I started having my brows done by Monica but after he baby came, I seamlessly transitioned to Joni and couldn't be happier. These are good people, folks. Actually, they are wonderful human beings. I came here during my honeymoon to get a manicure I'd had done for my wedding fixed. I'd been unhappy with the last one's quality, and was also happy to switch from bridal colors to something more fall-feeling. This salon was highly rated, so I made an appointment while my husband wanted to rest and read at the hotel. Joselyn put my last experience to shame (considering I can't have my nails done where I work, and I'd been looking forward to that manicure for a year!) and did an incredible job. She took great care removing the old gel, reshaped the nails that had been roughly filed before, and did a beautiful job painting the new gel. She was also so much fun to talk to and so pleasant. I don't live in Portland, but I would absolutely recommend making an appointment here if you can! The salon is clean and really cute. Want to zone out and practice your yoga breathing? Yup, you can do that too. The ambiance is best described as modern, clean, fresh, light and airy. Cheery succulents are scattered around, and large windows bring in plenty of light. Vibrant nail colors dance across shelving on the wall. Comfy plush upholstered chairs await you for a pedicure. Best of all, Renee's pedicures last FOREVER! And although I usually just get my fingernails buffed, her gel manicures using LED lights are incredible. They have become my newest indulgence. Such a beautiful little nail salon and yes, it is definitely different from most. And by most i mean the other 99% of nail salons. There are only two seats for pedicures and one for manicure so this is why you must book an appointment. No fuss, their online appointment tool makes it super easy. Instead of the usual large spa chairs equipped with the massage functions, they have beautiful, comfy white lounge chairs and you get to soak your feet in lovely copper bins (for lack of a better word). The water is nice and hot, just the way I like it, and they really use the best quality tools that are, most importantly, very clean. Let me tell you, these ladies know exactly what they're doing. I had Julie and she was incredibly skilled and thorough with her work. She also gave me the most amazing foot massage :D Nothing was rushed and the entire vibe of the salon was chill and fun so that even though you're totally being pampered, there was no sense of pretentiousness. After some digging around, I realize the "cheap" pedicure by Portland standard is $25. Maybe it's cheaper in the suburbs but anyway, I've come to terms with it and would rather pay an extra five bucks for a more comfortable, higher quality experience. It's worth it. read more

This is, hands down, the best nail salon in town. The manicurists are lovely women who always make me feel welcome, and they do an absolutely PERFECT job. The space is amazing; so fresh, clean, and inviting. I'd love to just hang out there all day if I could! The pedicure experience is the ultimate in relaxation; I love the copper soaking tubs, and the foot and leg scrub (which they make in house) is not to be missed (and I hear they're working on bringing in homemade lotion, too!). And don't forget to treat yourself to a cocktail! Renee is quite the mixologist; her lemon drop martinis and Irish coffees (the latter is only available during the holidays), and other rotating drinks are always made to perfection: delicious and potent! The only caveat: they are so popular they tend to get booked up quickly, especially for peak times like Saturdays and Thursday and Friday evenings. First time here was a few days ago and the experience was great! Right away when I walked in the gals of the shop were super friendly and chatting me up like we were old friends. Could def share a bottle(s) of wine with the ladies that work here, just so fun and nice. :) I came here to get my brows done by Monica. She was super sweet and amazing at her job. She took me step by step on what she was doing and explained why she was shaping them the way she was. But she also takes in your opinion, unlike some places I've been. I told her how I didn't want my "resting bitch face" (it's a real thing ha) to get any worse so then she didn't make my arch as high.
