Well , we ordered a chicken bacon ranch pizza again. So this time we asked to have it delivered. Pizza cost $11.00, delivery $5.00. The delivery guy comes to door. My husband hands him $ 20.00. The guy said it is $20.98. So charging 10.00 delivery. Now I understand why people don't want to tip.we always try to tip well because we understand they use there own cars . I've been gone from Toledo since 2006 and have came back to visit twice this year and both times I have had Vito's pizza and believe me it has always stood up to my expectations having been a Gino's pizza lover my whole time when I lived here,I guess all good things have to come to an end! read more

Not bad! Again, please temper my stars with the fact that I am in the middle of Ohio, at a hotel, looking for some food. Delivery was fast, they got the order correct, and the price was good. Again, as a pizza snob from NYC, this pizza obviously does not measure up, but it was ok. We got the thins crust with pepperoni and onion. Hands down, the best pizza place in Toledo! I'm one of those people who really don't care what kind of pizza is plopped right in front of me. It can be New York style, Chicago deep dish style, Sicilian style, whatever style, and it won't matter unless it's delicious. That's exactly what Vito's excels at -- putting the D in Delicious Sicilian pizzas. Feeling guilty about ordering just the all-meat pizza, I went ahead and ordered the veggie pizza as well. Don't get me wrong -- chicken was substituted for the bacon and sausage from the former for less guilt. (HA!) I later learned that the substitution was unnecessary as the pizza was covered in a good layer of mozarella cheese anyway. More grease to satisfy those fat cells, I s'pose. The veggie pizza could inarguably be one of the best I've had. Period. Toppings were plentiful, but the extra banana peppers and feta cheese contributed to the overall wholesome goodness. In addition, you have the option of topping of the crust with either parmesan, sesame, garlic, butter, etc. Adding extra parmesan simply added to the flavors. Now, Vito's has got to be one of the most creative when it comes to specialty pizzas, that I'll be sure to try those next time. Vito's Pizza is amazing. I have not yet tried their subs, but my god, their pizza is the best I have EVER had. And I have had a lot of pizza, being into Wow, and DnD, there have been many, many times when I have ordered from a random pizza location. I know this isn't a big deciding thing with pizza, but this is the first pizza place where when you pull out a piece it looks like how they do in the commercials. Y'know, with the cheese threading and melty. The thin crust is my favorite, but all the crust types are amazing. The toppings are always fresh and it's cooked beautifully. The people who answer the phone are always polite, and treat us human, and act like humans and not 'customer service reps'. The deliverers are always awesome. One girl is my favorite, she loves quarters for a tip. I felt bad for giving them to her but her face lit up when she saw quarters. Ha! Everyone is happy to talk a bit, and they'll drive out, even in snow! I don't leave pizza bones with this pizza. I eat everything. It's the best pizza I have ever eaten. I used to find their text messages, where they tell you specials or give you coupon codes, kinda annoying. But now I find it wonderful! I'll never go back to any other pizza place. Ever. Vito's has some phenomenal specialty pizzas and their Vito bread is great! However, I don't think their standard pepperoni pizza is anything amazing. If you are in the mood for a doughy pizza, this is your place. They have a soft crust that holds up well and is still tasty the next day. When I lived in Toledo the Vito's drivers knew my apt well. After trying many things from their menu I must say it's good, and a step up from the mass produced garbage that is Marcos, Pizza Hut, and Dominos. What is great is their Chicken Ranch, BBQ chicken, and Vito bread. Their traditional pizza sauce pizzas are just above average. read more

Holy crap, this is good pizza. This is easily my favorite pizza in the area. The crust is soft and doughy in the middle but with a nice crunch near the edges. The sauce is great. The cheese is great. They are generous with the toppings. You name it, everything about the pizza is good. The pricing is rather novel too; up to two toppings is the same price. But they don't just have pizza. The "Triple Cheezy Breadsticks" are crazy awesome with gooey cheese mixed with golden-brown crunchy goodness. The best part is you get FOUR different kinds of dipping sauces with the breadsticks, so you can really mix it up with the flavors. I could have just breadsticks for a meal and I'd be happy. I did have a sub once, and I didn't care for it. It was just "meh". The pizza and breadsticks are so awesome that I can't bring myself to dock them a star though. Those alone deserve 5 stars. My least favorite thing about Vito's is their hours. They are closed for lunch Monday through Thursday. They are more of a evenings and weekend place. The pizza is very good. The website only works maybe half the time. Delivery is very spotty. The website will usually quote 30 minutes for delivery, but sometimes it takes over an hour for delivery. And when that happens the pizza is usually cold. It's happened a few times now, and I think I'm going to have to stop ordering this usually very delicious pizza. read more

I ordered a medium Works and totally wolfed the whole thing down. Perfect balance of ingredients and phenomenal taste. The pizza here is very... meh. The sauce is ridiculously sweet and the cheese taste old the employees are very meh as well. I use to work near this location, and they had little to no manners while in the parking lot. Whether it was speeding, constantly parking in the fire lane, or right in front of the doors of another business. It was brought to there attention multiple times, and they thought it was a joke and just blew it off. One of the employees would also bring her dog to work (why?) and leave the poor thing in the car for a couple hours. read more

After ordering and paying online, I showed up at the Heatherdowns location. I stood waiting behind the cashier helping one customer for nearly 15 mins. There was some kind of billing dispute. Apparently, she was the only one trained to do the counter as there were 4 other employees standing around. Two of which started handling food after coming back from a break and didn't even wash their hands or put on gloves. If I hadn't already paid, I would have just left. One woman commented on this lack of cleanliness and did leave. I then had to wait as the cashier called her manager and talked to the two cooks. I did eventually get my chicken bacon ranch and pepperoni with extra mushroom. The pizzas were mediocre at best with minimal cheese and toppings. I really wish I could find pizza in Toledo that is even half as good or as well priced as I have in Michigan. Vito's is another pizza chain that I won't be returning to. read more

Pizza sauce flavoring makes the pizza, the sauce is great! Ranch dressing, it makes the salad. This places ranch sucks balls. Here's a helpful suggestion, your pizza is less than dion's, but the sauce is amazing... I'd recommend teaming up with dion's pizza. At the very least, I'd recommend sourcing their ranch dressing, as this franchises salad dressing, ranch, is atrocious. read more

The last 3 times I ordered my favorite chicken bacon ranch pizza here have been terrible!! This last pizza I just had to swallow down was by far the worst. There was a drop of ranch on the pizza.
