This location officially opens on Monday May 14. I had the honor of visiting during their soft opening with my wife. We ordered out favorite dishes and were blown away by the execution. This isnt our first Viva Chicken Rodeo after all. For those of you not as familiar with Viva Chicken allow me to introduce you to the food that will change your life. First of all this is a Peruvian Rottiserie Joint that only uses the finest ingredients and spices for its food. Chicken, steak, or vegetarian; they got you covered. Some of the best salads and sandwiches I have ever had. In a day when it is hard to find awesome food that is actually healthy, this place hits all the right spots. Sauces galore at this place for you to dip or pour on your food. Nobody judges here. My favorite is the Aji Amarillo for use with the fries and chicken. If you have room for dessert I highly recommend the Alfajores or Tres Leche. This store gets 5 stars for food, service, friendliness of staff, and atmosphere. We go between both locations near us the Waverly and Sunvalley location. The sides are amazing, good portions, good prices, and surprisingly healthy. We like the chicken, but it's your average rotisserie chicken. The family meal is for sure worth it - you can spend less on a family meal at Viva chicken over bojangles and feel ten times better after eating it. My wife and I had the 1/2 chicken and 2 sides. We also had two fruit drinks (not fountain drinks). It was all outstanding! We almost could not finish it between the two of us, but as seniors, we do not eat as much as many others. The chicken was cooked on a rotisserie with great spices. It was succulent and delicious. From the outside it looks like a fast food place like McDonalds. You wait in line and place your order. That is where the comparison ends. We waited 5 to 10 minutes while they prepared our meal for us. It was brought to us hot and fresh. It was served on real plates and silverware and we had a sit-down meal. The staff was very friendly, and the manager showed an honest concern that we were happy with our meal and experience. It was our first time there, but we plan to come back often. read more

Hey I went to eat here the other day.... the 1/4 Dark meat and cilantro rice was that straight buss down. The food was so good made me wanna slap my momma, take another bite and slap her again!! Hi Viva Chicken (Sun Valley)! I'm a long time customer of yours. I have been stuck on your Naked Peruvian wrap for years. It was always delicious! I love the fried yuca as a side dish. Unfortunately, over the past two weeks - we have gone twice and both times I have been unhappy with the food. The 1st time (last week), not only did they forget to put the Yuca in the deep fryer and gave me uncooked rock-hard yuca, but the wrap completely fell apart. We tried you guys again tonight and I ordered the same thing - the Naked Peruvian. Sadly, I was unhappy again. The recipe must have changed or a different person is making it - it was not the same - I had to throw it out, the taste was no Bueno! I was happy that you guys cooked the yuca this time! I will try the Waverly location next time. Hope you guys make some good changes so we can come back to your location soon!! read more

Came in this far for a treat to lunch and looking for my rewards card I found it wasn't in my wallet. Gregg perhaps a manager was Outstanding in every aspect! Came promptly to answer a question I had regarding the new app rolling out next week, gave me credit for my card and throughly explained the new benefits of the app. Recommending downloading it to be able to get even beter rewards. I had an issue with DoorDash. I ordered through them and the delivery driver fell through. I had just had surgery, so I called the store to see if I could have my boyfriend pick it up. The staff noticed my food had been sitting there for about an hour and made new food for us, without us asking. Fantastic service, fantastic food. read more

We will visit any Viva Chicken in the area because we love the food, BUT the one in Sun Valley is our favorite because of the people who work there. CiCi is an amazing manager who cares about her customer's satisfaction and her team (I can tell by the way she speaks to them). Highly suggest Viva Sun Valley for the food, but even more so for the staff!! Great hires!! read more

Ordered viva chicken 06/07/2020 I don't usually write reviews, being a service industry worker myself... however I had to write about my disappointment with this location specifically. The kid who answered the phone was very stand-offish from the start, really rude and had a huge attitude. Came and picked it up the kid inside (assuming it was the one my friend and i spoke on the phone with) continued his service with attitude. Before leaving I asked someone how many sauces were in the containers and he said "uh I think 2" and so I went on because that was enough but I wanted to make sure. I got home and saw that my tres leches was completely messy in the bag it was in, whatever containers aren't always the best with liquid anyways. I then open my food and of course there is no sauce and one of the reasons I love the food is because of the sauce. It made me even mad because I asked specifically how many were packaged and it was printed on both food containers. The owner needs to make some changes, the kid with the attitude problem should be working in the back if he hates people so much. I get mistakes happen, but this was too much in one night, especially when the host has the worst attitude. I spent over $20 on this food for nothing but disappointment. Will continue to visit other locations, just not this one. read more

This location has only been open for a couple of weeks, but it is amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful, the wait was very short and the food was delicious. I ordered The Great in a sun-dried tomato wrap with avocado and cheese added and a side of plantains. The wrap was packed full and did not disappoint. So happy to have this wonderful food option nearby! read more

This was our first time here. We were not sure what the menu actually offered or what "viva" meant in regards to the type a chick and it was served. You order your chicken and then it's delivered to your table. My wife and I had the whole chicken with sides. Our sides were the jasmine rice in the corn salad. The jasmine rice was OK in the corn salad and add feta cheese on it and we are not cheese fans. We somehow missed that. The chicken was very good but we were unsure of the sauces to put on it so we tried a little bit of everything. what we didn't like is the silverware is actually plastic ware and seems to be very in expensive. The staff was friendly and the price was a little high but OK. We will try it again but not anytime real soon. read more

I eat here every chance I get! I get 1/4 chicken (dark meat) rice and a salad. Every time. The salad dressing is amazingly delicious and I pour it on everything. I always get a side of yuca too. They're like giant yummy French fries and the sauce (the mild one) is so good with them. The green beans are amazing, try them too. I have never been anything but happy at Viva Chicken!
