I love this place. They are always so friendly and the service is quick even when they are slammed. The bartender there is the best. I absolutely love their blood orange margaritas and their chicken tortilla soup. I go there every couple of weeks just for that combo. Parking is plentiful and you can walk across the street for ice cream at bliss if that's your thing. I've also tried several other dishes that are always good. There was one time that we went and the food was wayyyyyy too salty. Almost like they brined the chicken and forgot and added more salt. I didn't finish it but out of the dozens of times I've been here, there was just that 1 off night. Totally recommend this place . The only thing consistent with this place is the rice and the margaritas I don't know why I keep going I'm obsessed with Mexican food and this is like 5 minutes from my home that's why I've ordered the nachos Mexicanos several times first time was amazing! Wonderful spot! A hidden gem in Dupont! Can I just say Bailey is a superb bartender/server!!! We love the vaulted ceilings and beautiful decor! Lots of windows for lighting and family friendly seating along with a large bar area. You HAVE to start with the queso and add chorizo. ate here for my coworker's going-away party and I was not impressed by the food. It was just okay. Maybe because the high prices turned me off, but it filled me up. The bathroom is very clean, which I appreciate. Very dim lighting that everything either looks brown or orange. Hard to take nice pictures. Pretty closed spaces between tables, too. What made me like this place is the staff because they ensure that you are informed about the recommended orders based on your taste and they thankfully housed us past the closing hours when my table lost track of time. With low reviews, I hesitated to try this place, but I had a great experience (twice). Stopped here on a Weds afternoon. The building exterior is nothing special, but the inside has a huge cathedral ceiling and is decked out with Mexican themes, far above your typical Mexican restaurant. For drinks, I ordered a margarita flight with Lime, Strawberry, and Raspberry. All were excellent! Surely not made with Patron as the tray suggests, but very tasty nonetheless. The atmosphere reminded me of a favorite Mexican restaurant in old town San Diego. (See attached picture of the interior). The service was great. I asked for some recommendations and I ordered the Two Green Steak Enchiladas along with rice and beans. The flavor was great, and probably more food than I should've eaten. In fact I was stuffed and had to pass on any dessert. Chips were chips but the Trio Salsa (green, red and a pico de gallo) were very good. Guacamole wasn't too bad. I'll change my option to a two regarding the billing. They have given me a refund and will speak with the person at the register. Just watch you billing! My experience with this a few weeks ago had to do with my takeout order. My price I paid was one amount and my bank statement was another. They added an extra $8.00 to my order!  I'm not sure why as I handed the guy at the register a cash tip.  For some reason, I think that is illegal?!?! I was a little hesitant about the negative reviews but I trusted my fellow Elite Yelper's. This place is 5 stars all day long and a secret gem in DuPont. The chips came out hot and fresh. I ordered the white queso and chips for an appetizer. For my main course I ordered the carne Asada and my girlfriend ordered a taco salad. I was completely blown away with how good everything tasted. Reviews rarely let you down. This place has been in my list since Covid but a few factors have kept me away. I've been to the two other locations in Kent and White Center and neither is worth returning to. In the 90's, Kent was great, but the place has gone downhill. Review for this place aren't real promising, but two recent reviews from Elite member gave us the confidence to try. We thought the place was closed as there wasn't a single car at the place and it was dinner time on a Saturday. I had the carne asada and for dinner price, it was a lunch portion. The rice and beans were good and the guac was stellar, but the steak portion was a joke! We also had chips and salsa, which you have to pay for. It came with three salsa, that all needed salt and the chips must have been several days old. There were stale and when you consider the restaurant was empty and you have to buy the chips, I suspect they don't sell many orders. Not at all impressed and I would recommend Tonala in Tacoma or something in Olympia. If you can't attract a crowd on Saturday night, word is out your food is not in demand. read more

We stopped in here for a quick lunch with our friends before heading out into the wild for a weekend of camping. Due to traffic we were slightly later than the lunch rush and were able to get seated without any trouble. The restaurant is pretty large with colorful walls, lots of seating options, and a big bar area. Everything, including the bathrooms, felt clean and tidy. The server was knowledgeable about what gluten free items I could have and I was not disappointed with the saucy beef soft tacos I ordered. I unfortunately couldn't have their chips as they're fried with other gluteny items but I could have their very large and alcohol forward margaritas so that more than made up for the calories I missed out on by abstaining from the chips. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were able to get back on the road in a timely manner. Plus added bonus- the margaritas put both myself and the other wife to sleep making it a quiet peaceful trip for the husbands. I am from down south where the Mexican food is superb, so when I moved to Washington I knew I wouldn't find anything like it. I feel like most places don't know how to season food well here, or are scared of seasoning. I tend to just cook all my Mexican food at home knowing it will come out good. But, I can honestly say that this place is good. Its comparable and a lot better than all the other Mexican restaurants I have tried here. Even if it is a little further of a drive, this is where I would go for my Mexican food. The service is always great, I like how they speak spanish to us (it makes us feel at home). The ambiance is nice, well decorated and feels like a real Mexican restaurant. I have gone twice so far (only because its not as close to us as I would like). As much as the inside and outside of this restaurant gives the whole Mexican vibe. Sad to say that my experience was not much 5 star. It was not crowded at all, but customer service was a bit slow. Once we were seated, wait time was a long before getting our drinks. I was with my husband and three kids. They had no juices available for them. We ended having to order a soda pop. Once I made my selection, like most Mexican restaurants, my food came out in about five minutes. Still very hot on the plates. It took a bit before I could take my first bite. The refried beans, guacamole, and rice were amazing. I ordered two chimichangas, one beef and one chicken. The beef chimichanga had a lot of flavor and I very much enjoyed it. The chicken chimichanga, however, left much to be desired in the flavor department. Very bland almost nothing inside that chimichanga other than shredded chicken. We were obviously excited and decided to order large frozen margaritas of course. They have a whole drink menu but I was torn between strawberry and mango so I just combined them in one! The waiter was cool with it and within 5 minutes, I was sipping away. It was so good I almost forgot the main reason I came here...to eat some bomb Mexican food! I ordered a Viva Burrito and it was huge! Last time I was here I ordered Tacos al Pastor and it had meat for days, you definitely get your money's worth here.
