This place used to be 5 stars for me as we've been coming here for a few years. However lately there have been some changes. The menus are now new which are nice, but also have higher prices. I used to get the small asada nachos for $5.95, now they are a couple dollars more. Other things I have noticed have gone up as well. Is it still worth it? Yes, but at the same time it makes me now think twice of other places to eat for lunch now. The other thing that absolutely drives me crazy here is they do not give you an itemized receipt of the things you ordered and the cost. You just go up to the front after your meal, they look up your table and give you an amount to pay. Then they ask you if you'd like to add a tip on the spot, where you're just trusting that they gave you the right bill amount. There have been times where I feel we have paid a lot more than what we actually ordered and have asked for confirmation on occasion. One time they did have the wrong bill for us. Overall though, this place does have good food and the best shrimp cocktail in town. read more

My guest and I kept it all traditional with Camarones Ahogados and two bowls of menudo. Chips and salsa with guacamole sauce started our meal, great start. The shrimp plate lacked presentation but still had excellent flavor. Menudo had very good chile flavor and was a good sized portion. The tenderness of the menudo tripe was very tender and very indicative of the time and effort they seem to put in the food. Authentic Mexican food at a fair price. Chile had good flavor and tasted very fresh. Wish I would have tried a dish instead of soup as I think that would have given me more of a true taste off what they were really offering but I was not disappointed. Will definitely visit again and am confident they will earn five stars. Service was friendly and attentive. They don't have a line out the door for nothing! read more

Best Menudo in this green and red infested city. They only have it available on the weekends. But trust me its worth the wait. It is leaps and bounds better than all the ones around here. It reminds me of the menudo found in the southern parts of Texas (my home). Everytime i eat it, i am taken back to a young me sitting at my grandmas kitchen as a kid during the winter. I went to this place 1-7-16 Watch out they will steal your money.... food is good but my bill was $21.95 they ran my Debit card for $21.95 gave me a receipt for that amount. I gave the waitress a cash tip.
