I've been here three times and can say that I find myself coming back because of the ambiance. It's a spacious salon that offers complimentary beverages (including wine), has a great nail polish selection, and plays good music. My first time here in June of 2013 was not that great, I came in for a routine manicure and was seated at a station and then proceeded to wait for 30 minutes for a manicurist to come start on my nails. I was barely acknowledged during that time but didn't feel like leaving since I'd already waited a decent amount of time and I really needed my nails done. I decided to give them another try, since they're conveniently located near my job, for a polish change and had a much better experience. The girl who did my nails was very attentive and concerned about my comfort during my short trip for a change in color. I went back for a manicure and it took over an hour and a half. At the end the fan blew a hair into my nail and when I asked for help getting it out the lady aggressively messed up my nail with tweezers when I was trying to be careful. Because it took so long I had to go, and when I asked for a discount because they messed up my nails, they said they did not do that. read more

Unsure of who did my nails because she didn't introduce herself or even speak for that matter. I went in for a nail repair and polish change. I have been going here for a few years on and off, but this last time I went is probably going to be my absolute final time going. I never leave bad reviews and I am not the type to complain, but it is absolutely ridiculous what I experienced the last time I went. When I went in this past week I showed the nail tech a picture of the design that I wanted for my nails and asked if she could just do different colors instead of black and for an almond shape. I showed her the picture before she did my nails and asked if the design was okay and she said yes. She then picked out random colors (without even asking me) and started drawing designs that weren't in the picture on my nails. When I corrected her confused and referenced the picture again she complained that she had to do two different designs (smiley faces and flowers). She then proceeded to do the designs very sloppily and quick like all she wanted to do was get it over with. After that she went back to doing random designs that weren't in the picture and when I asked if she could do a flame mark (from the picture), she got an attitude with me and snapped that I needed to tell her what I wanted which I just thought was confusing and because I kept showing her the picture which was exactly what I wanted and she said she could do it prior. She then told me I would be charged for length as well even though my nails were the standard length for almond shape. I have no idea what her name was but I will never go back. Overall I was charged $70 for something I could've got somewhere else for much cheaper. Terrible service. read more

So the fact that I waited an hour to get my nails done is entirely my fault, I'd heard this place was amazing and I needed to get there early. It didn't disappoint, my nails look great! They take their time to listen to what your expectations are then they follow through. I had a hang nail and the lady worked so gently to fix it that I had no pain or bleeding. People who came in after me were served before me. Well sorta, 15 minutes later my sister came to meet me for a pedicure and a Polish change. The owner changed his price more than once and then she sat in the pedicure chair so long her water was cold. I was told to wait at the bar after waiting for 25 minutes the receptionist finally told me to wait at the bar. I sat there for almost 20 more minutes no one even spoke to me! Not a word. I have to note that my sister was still sitting in the same cold water while I sat at the bar! I collected my things and started to leave. The owner, Tony, very rudely said so you leaving or you staying. What you gonna do? As if I was intruding on his time. Not concerned that a customer of 3 years was walking out! I came in well before close right after work. He made several other rude comments to my sister after my departure which caused her to walk as well. My entire family (6) will not be back! I also have to note that this is not the first time the owner was rude to us. We work similar hours the spa is open so sometimes we cut it a little close, an hour before closing. I used to work at viva and even after leaving I continue to get my nails done here! I always go see Vicky or Leah (I always make appts ahead of time) but today neither of them were available so I was referred by a friend to see chris. He is new to viva but has been doing nails for years. I am very picky about my nails and he did an incredible job on my nails and toes! (I get the dipping powder on my nails and gel on my toes) Chris was incredibly kind and professional and even educated me on what he was doing, up keep on my nails and colors that would flatter my skin tone. I had the best time talking to him and my nails looked AMAZING!!! Anyone who wants perfect nails needs to go see chris!! He really shows perfect customer service and professionalism. today was my 2nd time here for a pedicure. i'm assuming my interaction today was with the owner. well, let me tell you... he is one of the sassiest males I've encountered. on my first visit, i was satisfied with my service, today was another story. i didn't feel like it was worth mentioning because it happens, BUT when paying, he asked and i was truthful in being dissatisfied. instead of him being concerned and wanting to make this right for me, he was more concerned with who did my manicure and why didn't i go to them. when i told him they were busy he said "oh, so we're the bounce back?" First and absolute last time coming to this place! I believe it was the owner that did my nails and it was the absolute worst nail experience I have ever had! 1. He was extremely rough (it hurt when he was pushing the skin around my nails !) 2. He couldn't sit and tend to me for more than 2 minutes at a time without getting up and being gone for 5 or more minutes. I had already waited an hour or more with multiple people that came in after me going before me! He was very sloppy and the nails are terrible! All different shapes and sizes. I've been coming here for 8 months. Today was my last time. I came in yesterday and was told there wasn't a wait, after an hour of sitting there, I got up and left. I made an appt for today at 9:30. I got here and waiting 30 minutes for a tech. She started one hand and then said she had another appt and just got up, grabbed her stuff and left me sitting there. I then I had to wait another 20 minutes for someone to assist. Numerous walk ins were helped before me. The staff was rude and laughing at me. Talking about me like I wasn't sitting right in front of them. My nail technician argued with me about the color I get EVERY time telling me I was wrong. She then rudely said I could get up and get it myself. I also had a cut on my foot and asked her to be careful and she poured nail polish remover all over it TWICE. I know accidents happen but from her behavior before, I felt like this was done maliciously. I am not the only customer who has been treated poorly! Read the reviews! Save your time and go elsewhere! I NEVER post reviews like this, as I was in the service industry for 8 years and know that people have bad days but this is not how you treat customers! And to top it off... all my nails are different sizes and lengths! They look terrible and the color is NOT what I asked for. My French on my toes are way to thick.... 3 Strikes, you're out! I had heard great things about this nail salon so I came with a friend (after making an appointment). It was a Saturday, which apparently is a very busy day for them. We waiting 45 minutes before we had anyone work on our nails. We weren't done at the same time either so I was there a total of an hour and a half. My nails looked good but I wasn't crazy about the wait. Then I came back with the same friend another time but during the week. We made an appointment thinking surely there wouldn't be a wait. There wasn't that many people there but it took 30 minutes before we had someone work on our nails again. My poor friend twice now had come with gel nail polish on and had to have them wrap her fingers up. You should only have that stuff on your fingers for 10 mins and she waited almost 30 before they came over and took them off. The nails looked good, but again the wait was long for a slow day. My third and final time was the worst experience I've ever had. I made an appointment for a week day, showed up 10 mins before and then I waited 30 mins before they sat me at a table. Then I waited 30 more mins until someone came over to do my nails. Not only did they cause me to wait AN HOUR (after I called and made an appointment) but they rushed my nails and they looked TERRIBLE! I was so upset that I swore I would never come back. Once I went to have my service done, the lady who did was quick, short and didn't even ask if I liked the final product of my wax and rushed me out the door. This is my favorite nail salon in the area. The owner is friendly, as is the rest of the staff. I usually get a mani-pedi (or just a paint change if I'm in a rush). The place can get busy, so if you don't want to wait (10-15 minutes) you should make an appointment. I always request Q; she's the owner's wife and she's great. She's very detail-oriented. I usually get Louanne to wax my eyebrows. She also does an excellent mani-pedi. But she's usually swamped with people requesting her unique designs on their nails. read more

Usually, I'd give this salon five stars. I have been going to this nail salon for years and usually have great experiences. A few days ago, I got my usual gel manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was good. The manicure was awful. My nails had bubbles under them and they were rough and not smooth.
