Do not come here. I got a gel manicure on Friday and it chipped on multiple fingers by Saturday. I came back Sunday morning asking for them to fix/ redo the manicure as they are supposed to last 1-2 weeks. The worker refused to redo the nails and insisted on painting over the issues. I spent $40 for the worst gel manicure and owner refused to take it off or fix it. read more

I went in for a simple, single colored gel manicure. when i walked out, i noticed bubbles and imperfections everywhere, which i was willing to let slide. but the next day, 5 of my nails were chipped. i don't work with my hands, and i'm out of town and unable to go in and request to get it fixed. this has never happened to me anywhere else with gel nails. i'm sure there are other people who would do good nails here, but the guy who did mine didn't try at all. disappointing read more

Worst pedicure of my life. The girl who did it cut my skin with the clippers and made me bleed. And then proceeded to keep clipping at the skin to try to fix it. I finally told her I was done and she needed to stop. Manicure was rushed and the lady left in the middle of doing my nails. Definitely will never return. read more

Excellent service here. My husband surprised me with a pedicure and even got his first ever pedicure! The massage, nail treatment, hot stone, hot towels all felt amazing. For one, the staff is friendly and never rushed me when choosing a color - something other salons sometimes do. The variety of colors from Gel to SNS is truly amazing. ( Visit: 8/24. Review: 8/26.) New to the area, had questions about services and how to get what I wanted (what process would be best for black to holographic/chrome ombré since I was wanting to try something new.) Immediately upon arriving, I signed in and was told the wait would be 30 minutes -- not a problem, pretty average in comparison to my regular salon back home. Without hesitation, as I'm looking at the polishes on the wall, they try to get me for a pedicure when less than 3 minutes prior I stated I only needed a fill-in and repair. One of the nail technicians walked in my direction, looked extremely unhappy and didn't even offer a smile or hello but was friendly with her particular customer. Fast-forward the 30 minute wait. Michael says he will see me now and start the process. I get a quote for what I want, $55. I'm then moved to another chair with Sue (who also had an appointment at the time -- very poor scheduling/time management.) She (Sue) starts working on my nails. During the course of our time she is out of the chair as much as she is seated and working on my nails. There is little conversation other than asking about what I want and if the length/shape is okay. The salon is poorly lit so I am unaware of how bad my nails truly look. I pay my amount, leave a tip despite not being very satisfied with the outcome. As I sit in my car, I then notice how disappointing the experience truly was. My nails are not black to chrome/holo OMBRÉ. There is little to no gradation between colors, but rather is looks like my nails were dipped into some chrome/holo powder. They are bumpy in some places and thick in others. The edges are rigid, I've had two spots chip already. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location. Completely led astray by reviews by what I'm sure are regular customers who get 5-Star treatment -- this was also noticeable in the salon. They do treat their new customers different from their regulars. Again, disappointing. read more

The worst pedicure experience ever. I don't understand all of the 5-star reviews. Pedicure was done in a rush, with very little communication and absolutely no warmth, and man doing it seemed to be very annoyed that my heels needed some attention---he said it would take an hour to soften them up to take off all of the dry skin. This has never been the case in any other salon. He did an exceedingly poor job on my heels and a very basic job applying the polish. I won't be bringing any more business here and I feel that I was ripped off for the $28 that I paid. read more

I'm always looking for a great nail place. So I saw great reviews on this place so I decided I'd try it out. First of all I had to wait literally 2 hours( trust me I watched the clock.) when I finally got called back the lady rushed and got up multiple times to go wax other ladies eyebrows. She ended up taking 5$ off. My nails looked great so I was still hopeful. Literally 2 days after that visit 3 nails broke. I've never broken any nails because I'm super careful. I went back and they fixed them for free. Almost a week after that 2 more nails broke. I'm not hard on my nails nor do I have a hard job. I'm a makeup artist. This was the worst experience I've ever had and will not be going back. When I told my colleagues about this place they were so shocked that I came to this place. They told me it was awful and they had the same issue. I hate giving bad reviews but I definitely think people should know read more

I recently came to visit this shop with my friend Jen, whom has been a customer here for years. I had my nails done elsewhere and had an absolutely terrible experience. I came here and not only did they fix my nails but they helped me figure out the best way to ask for what I would like to have done so there isn't confusion. I knew nothing about nails. I go in for my fix up tomorrow and I'm ashamed. I have jacked my hands up this passed week in major fashion (I am extremely extremely hard on my hands) but I know 100% Mrs. Sue and Micheal are going to fix me right up. My photo for some reason will not upload but I have an sns manicure with clear tips filed into an almond shape and a gel painted white french tip. I love how thin Michael was able to keep my nails and how close to the cuticle he was able to get with the powder so the regrowth on my nails wouldn't make me insane. I only took two of the business cards with me when I left and I've handed them both out. My mom ran off with my pricing brochure too. I've gotten compliments everywhere I've gone. First time here. I wanted to get eyebrows done at a different place than usual because my usual place has always left me and my friend with awful breakouts and red skin after treatment. Was extremely satisfied by the lady that did my eyebrows! Her method was different than the other nail place I frequent, but I left feeling a lot lighter and with less pain than I usually do. Today I got a gel manicure from Ling. Not only did she do an awesome job on my nails but I could really tell she put in a huge effort to make them look amazing. She has a great personality and I really enjoyed talking to her the whole time. I have very dry hands and she took the time to give me a massage and make recommendations about how to care for my hands at home to avoid them being so dry in the winter. I will definitely be back to Viva Nails and I will always request Ling from now on. read more

The reviews for this place must be fake. I paid $70 for a thick messy sns manicure and a thick pedicure that was peeling before I even got home. The quality of the work does not match the reviews. I spent 3 hours in the shop for sloppy work. While I was there multiple people had complaints concerning their nails. The attention to detail is clearly missing. read more

Walked in for a pedicure today. This was my first time coming to this salon. I was able to be helped right away since it wasn't too busy. The salon itself is really nice and clean. I love that they have child pedicure chairs so next time I can bring my daughter. I've decided to give this place one more try. If I could give 2.5 stars I would. Somethings were great and then some were not. PROS: chairs were super comfortable, even with the massage function on. Everything was clean. Lots and lots of gel colors to choose from. 3-4 different pedicures to choose from. I chose the $35 pedicure. So the middle one which included a 14 minute massage. The man who did my pedicure did amazing with scrub and massage. It felt like heaven. He was nice, but didn't understand much English. Which is fine, it's not an issue. Now my CONS: I felt like my cuticles and skin around my toenails could of been cleaned up a little better. I decided to pay the extra $15 for gel. Which to me, being from California seems like a lot for the pedicure and gel ($50 total before tip). However compared to other places I've been in Lex $50 is about average. My issue is though, I feel like the gel looks sloppy. Once I got home I took a closer look and I can see where the gel ran into the cracks between my toenail and skin and was hardened there. So the edges of the gel are not smooth or clean looking. On a few of the toes the gel is transparent like it wasn't applied evenly, so the color isn't even or opaque on all toes. My toenails were filed since they were long but no shape is noticeable, but that's my fault, I should of told him I like them more on the square side. So to me, it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. Just sucks when you're paying an extra $15 on top of $35 for gel and the gel doesn't even look good. I will most likely give it one more try when I am ready for another pedicure, mostly because I want to bring my daughter so she can get one in the kids chairs. read more
