Love the tacos. Love the tex mex decor and ambiance. The carnitas was amazing. Portions were generous and the staff was super nice. Unfortunately it seems to be failing and probably not around for long. We went again last night for Taco Tuesday (advertised on their website) and they had a sign on the door saying closed until Friday. Bummer. read more

We ate at about 3:30 on a weekday, there were only a few people in the restaurant. That was a little concerning to us, but not a problem. We were immediately seated and served by Hugo, an energetic and friendly server. Nice interior, with TVs all over the place showing sports. Lots of booths and tables, a pretty big area indoors. We only wanted a snack, something simple, so we ordered their happy hours Street tacos. They weren't bad, but the carne asada had more gristle than I wanted, and the carnitas was a little tougher than I expected. The salsa served with the tacos was very hot, and tasty. We asked for chips and salsa, and got a more mild flavored salsa with those. I had their house Viva margarita, which was pretty good. Overall, nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about, either. In the men's restroom, they cut out a beer keg to use as a urinal (see my photo). A novelty idea, but they really need to put a splash pad inside it! We didn't really appreciate the country music playing in the dining area. After all, being in a Mexican restaurant, we did expect Mexican music. When I asked Hugo about that, he said they play all kinds of music, but generally stick to the Tex-Mex variety. That's when I learned this is supposed to be a Tex-Mex restaurant. read more

We are new to the area and was in the mood for Mexican food. The restaurant was not busy at all as it was on a Tuesday I really liked the vibe as it was a cross between a Mexican restaurant and a country bar. The server let us know about the taco Tuesday special and we were pleasantly surprised about the menu being so. We were given chips and salsa to start I ordered the taco Tuesday special which was all you can eat. It was a little overpriced as everything was an add-on as the rice and beans costed extra and the sour cream and guacamole were extra. I was pleasantly surprised about the portion amounts as these were no street tacos. I was able to try all of the meats that were available which was El Pastor, Carnitas, chicken, Carne Asada and shredded beef. I really enjoyed all the taco flavors except for the pork ones as the meat was chopped up and the pieces were a little bit too big. My husband had the ribs worked were fantastic, tons of flavor and a large portion. My husband loves country music and they have a band set up so we will definitely be going back on the weekends. read more

Drinks: Had a michelada and a margarita. * Michelada - it was alright, could use some work, more spice or flavor kick. 6/10 * Margarita - fire, strong and delicious, exactly how you want it. Food: * Bang Bang Shrimp - mid, just popcorn shrimp tossed in bang bang sauce. 5/10 * Steak Fajitas - these hit. Fresh, flavorful, with rice and beans on point. 8/10 * Steak Plate - my favorite of the night. Well seasoned, juicy, and that grill flavor was top tier Texas style. 8.9/10. If they added a garlic butter or cowboy butter drizzle, it'd take it to a whole new level. Inexperienced but friendly staff, STRONG margaritas, and DELICIOUS guacamole. I had the quesabirria tacos that were fine, they were definitely outshined (outshone?) by the street corn side. Hubs had beef & cheese enchiladas which were all tasty and not too spicy for my gringo guy. Unfortunately, we had to cut our visit short because the very talented live band was SO LOUD we and our guest were unable to enjoy conversation or dinner. First of all great service. It pains me to be honest I hope the owner or manager reads the post. Chips not home made and the salsa needs a little more work or heat to off set the sweetness. The coconut Martini is very sweet. The chicken enchiladas do not taste good at all. It's that red sauce that is also not made in house that is jar or a canned sauce it tasted like tomato paste. The only hero was the Baja Tacos. Freshly fried tilapia with cabbage and orange sauce. A great tasting salsa and enchilada sauce can make all the difference. Didn't get that here tonight the restaurant definitely needs to work on taste. Will try it one more time in a month hopefully some things get addressed. read more

This is our second time here and this place is amazing. Super friendly staff. Our first visit was a quiet night but tonight we visited and found live music and people dancing. My daughter absolutely loved being invited onto the floor by everyone dancing, it was very wholesome. Poor customer service. I accidentally left my shirt after I ate an EXPENSIVE dinner there. I called right away once i realized i left it and they said they have shirt and they'd hold it for me to pick up the next day. I went back the next day and they said they didn't have my shirt that they had just said they found and held for me. They said they'd call me if the shirt turned up but no one has contacted me. Came here around 3:30 one day for an early dinner. We walked in and a band was rehearsing. We waited by hostess podium for at least 10 minutes, before a member of the band went to the kitchen to get an employee to help us. Another couple had arrived right after us and had been waiting to be seated as well. Once seated, our drink order was taken and we were served our margaritas promptly. They were very good...and strong. The tacos I ordered were good, but there was no option for ground beef tacos, or chicken. We had to request more salsa as the bowl was small. We plan to return some day, but my husband has to wear ear plugs if a band is performing, as it is so loud. FIRST... we love the ambience! It's comforting, pleasant, friendly staff, music isn't too loud, decor is beautiful, restrooms are clean and well kept! We've never been disappointed with the food. Steak fajitas is a favorite. My husband and I share (More than enough for the two of us). And the enchiladas. (3) I get 1-shredded beef and he gets 2-pork. Service is friendly, warm and inviting! Every single one of them! And the nights they have entertainment... we've never been disappointed. Our community (Heritage at Cadence) supports Viva by coming once a month, on a Sunday (Line Dance night) as a group. Our group averages 35 people. The meat was fantastic and the consume (broth) to dip the taco in was fantastic. Just do it. Best tacos ever. My wife had sizzling fajitas and they were really very good. I understand this place was a steak house previously and just opened in early 2025 as a mexican place. They are serious about food. The flavors and the way they cook is unique. Like our server said, "There is no place around here that makes food like this." It doesn't look like much from the outside. Don't be fooled. It's worth a try and then some. Between the four of us we had, amazing chips and salsa,steak tacos, the Viva Burger with Brisket, Brisket sandwich , Mexican corn, Enchiladas Viva. All had great flavors . We ended our meal with the Churros with vanilla ice cream a must get dessert if you can fit it in. We shared it . The lemon drop shots were an added bonus.
