Vivaldi's Pizza has 3 locations; those locations are in Avon, Bristol, and Southington, CT. They're specialty is pizza, subs, sides, salads, and other Italian options. They also do catering. My family and I ordered takeout from this Avon location; ordering online was easy and convenient. This looks like a take-out only spot and the employees were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of parking and the restaurant was on the side of the plaza. There was a light at route 44 which makes it easy to get in and out of the plaza and onto route 44. The food was hot and ready at the specified pick-up time. We ordered mango habanero wings and buffalo ranch boneless chicken wings. Those were crispy and flavorful. For the main entree, we had the Lasagna Pizza which came with onion, tomato, mushroom, meatball, ricotta, cheese, and garlic. I loved the ricotta cheese and mushroom combo; the toppings complemented each other and I enjoyed it. Overall, it's another good takeout spot with delicious pizza and wings. Despite mixed reviews on Yelp I decided to give it a try today and was pretty underwhelmed. I ordered fries ($6) and a Philly cheese steak pizza ($15 for a small). The Philly cheese steak pizza wasn't quite what I was expecting - generally it's a white pizza and they put red sauce on this one. The effect was that it was less "Philly cheese steak" and more "pizza with meat, peppers, and onions". With that said, judging it for what it was, it was decent. Totally edible albeit a bit overdone on the crust. Fries were fine as well. One minor complaint is that I thought they didn't give ketchup at first, but as I nibbled at the fries I found that there were ketchup packets UNDERNEATH the fries, a totally illogical decision and inexplicable design flaw. All in all it was a totally adequate lunch, but there are just way too many better pizza options in town for Vivaldi's to make it on my rotation. We placed our orders and went to a craft store for some essentials for a project I had in mind. Chewed up enough time to head back and get our pies. So the BLT pizza was a great combination. The bacon was more in the form of real bacon bits (like chopped to bits), but I can see why it's more edible that way than entire strips. This way, every bite had the BLT. Anyway, it was unique and yummy!! My husband said his pepperoni pizza was also good. Tasty sauce, tasty crust. A solidly good pizza. Happy new year! This place is great! The staff is very friendly and you can tell that making customers happy is their main concern. They are always efficient, happy and polite when I come in. I'm sure covid has really effected their business but they are taking precautions with hand sanitizer on the counter, require masks for employees as well as customers, and the cooks wear gloves. Considering the quality of the food the price is very reasonable. I ordered the Hawaiian pizza (photos) and it was so tasty; the pineapple tasted so fresh! Do not ever order from this business. I ordered food at 6:43 pm online - on June 24th they said 45 minutes - an hour later the food had not arrived. I phoned Vivaldis and was told they were closing for the day and would not be bringing my order - I was shocked - but they charged by credit card. The person who answered the phone did nothing - I asked to speak to the manager - who was not there - I asked them to have the manager call me the next day - she never did - until I called very upset and demanded a refund. It was partly dried up chicken and the bread crumbs were missing on parts, some of it looked like they scraped bread crumbs off the chicken and put that on the bread. It was supposed to be a chicken cutlet grinder and that was not the case, chicken cutlet is not small and what looks like chewed up chicken thrown on a dry piece of bread with nothing else on it. This was my first time trying this "new place in town". I ordered teriyaki wings and a Philly cheese steak pizza. The online ordering is pretty basic. Delivery is an extra charge which is a negative. The idea of the Philly pizza is awesome. Crust is super thin, almost too thin. The toppings were ok, but almost non existent. Very skimpy on toppings, very skimpy. The wings were the best part, excellent, meaty and great flavor. Delivery was on time, almost a few minutes early. There's lots of coupon specials to try. The quality here has been declining slowly since opening and today was the final straw for us. I used to like their chicken souvlaki but the last two times I got it it was way too salty. Today we ordered two pizzas, garlic knots, and 36 wings. 12 buffalo and 24 garlic Parmesan. At first glance was the lack of sauce or coating. The garlic Parmesan used to have a nice coating of garlic bits and parmesan cheese. Today they were dry. The buffalo wings had barely any sauce on them either so they were minimally spicy. I ate three of the garlic ones before I started to notice there was a funny aftertaste. At first I thought it was the blue cheese dip so I stopped using it. The next two wings still had the taste and I realized it tasted like chicken that was going bad. I called the restaurant and told them what was going on. The first person told me how they use a garlic butter and no one else has complained. I told her again what the problem was and she asked what I wanted to do. I asked if I could have a partial credit cause I'm not letting anyone else eat them. The manager got on the phone, told me the same thing about their distributer, how I'm the only one who's complained, how they don't see how they could be bad, etc. So I said it's obvious you aren't going to do anything so thank you. She didn't even bother to try any kind of customer service and said goodbye. They just lost our business. I can deal with food that isn't quite right.
