average at best, pros and cons pros, cheap! party pizza is a good recommendation for a large gathering, school meeting, kids party, etc. Quick turnovers too, called with no notice prime pizza time, had a few in under 40 minutes! con, not a fan of the pizza, I know small detail! the cheese comes off not matter how I bite into it. square cut, which I'm not overly opposed to, but you then also get crustless cuts. sauce is not chunky, so that's some consideration to me, but I'm guess not a fan. The food was outstanding. Service impeccable. We always ate C&E when living in East Hartford back in the 70s when at old location across the street. Since then have lived in Rhode Island, Ohio, Florida and now back to Ct in Bolton and have never found any pizza that comes close. So happy you are still there. First time I have EVER thrown out pizza leftovers, and it was most of the pie. Hands down the worst pizza I have ever had. Sauce: No flavor. I had to look under the cheese to make sure there was any. Not even worried about the dog getting into it because I don't think there's any onion or garlic in it. Spinach: The spinach was glopped on as big clumps of untrimmed, unchopped cooked spinach. Entire leaves and looooong stems. Just lazy. Chicken: The chicken was, unsurprisingly, dry and tasteless. Cut: Who cuts a round pie into squares?? Have they been raised by wolves? The owner is so professional and accomodating. The pizza was great- chewy crust, but crispy on the edges, piping hot. The tossed salad was beautiful and crisp (tomatoes, cukes, olives. red onions, on a salad mix of spinach, green leaf lettuce). We ordered a catering portion of chicken parmesean (6 breasts on a generous portion of penne and marinara) for the weekend as well. Chicken was a little chewy, but breading and sauce were tasty and penne was perfectly cooked. Everything was wrapped beautifully. Would definitely return! read more

I went to order for the 2nd time in less than a month. The 1st time I ordered I told them I had a coupon from their menu and told them what the coupon said. I was then told that that coupon and menu were too old and he could not honor it so I proceeded to order anyway and told him there's not an expiration date on the coupons or the menu but that was fine I ordered & receive my food. Which wasn't very good. I figured my husband and I would give them another try, so I went to order again today three weeks later with a new menu that was given to me on my last order and was told the same exact thing my coupon was not good the menu was too old. How is this possible? I was told the same exact thing and told I could get a bottle of soda, mind you I was given this menu by the delivery driver three weeks prior. So I did not order this time, and putting it out on every social media outlet to not order or go their to eat. This is a great place for a quick meal or delivery. The Italian Antipasto salad was delicious and full of delicious meats and cheeses. The portion of chicken fingers was large (six), but they didn't hold up as well as the salad for delivery. The service was friendly, and the delivery was fast. read more

We are a small local business, also in the service industry, and have ordered lunch from C&E at least once/month for about a year. The delivery drivers are prompt & courteous (the older gentleman in particular is very nice). The food is always very good with really generous portions and the orders are accurate (rarely missing an item, etc.). The staff on the phone, unfortunately, leaves something to be desired. Several weeks ago we placed a large lunch order and the last item I ordered on our list was a small pizza. The young woman who was taking our order put the phone down and exclaimed, "Why the F%#k do they always wait to order the F%#king pizza LAST!?" then picked up the phone again. I said, "You realize I heard you, right?" She said, "I'm sorry." As we finished I suggested she put the callers on hold before making comments like that again. She again said she was sorry. While we typically enjoy our lunches from C&E, after today, we will think twice before ordering again. read more

We have been ordering this pizza for many many years and it's finally time to write a review. The bacon pizza is great. Grew UP on this Pizza...Mom worked at Top Notch Foods and got to know the Owner Daisy. We still, even though moved to Manchester will order from C & E's as it is the BEST Pizza and Sauce out there. I wrote this place off as being another mediocre local pizza place and I was very wrong. Pizza is excellent. We also tried the fried mozzarella appetizer and it was delicious. The sauce they use on the pizza and fried mozzarella is amazing. Will definitely be back soon. They serve Greek style pizza which usually isn't my favorite but I was pleasantly surprised. read more

Visited C&E pizza for first time while I town for an XL Center event. We needed to feed an army of hungry competitors and found an experience we'll never forget. The sweetest of the sweet staff, "Daisy" offered us cold Sam Adams to make us feel at home while we waited for our large order! Great pizza. Great friendly service. Called for a specials menu, 20 mins later it was never sent so tried ordering off the menu they have posted on their website, was told that was over 10 years old. Wouldn't honor prices or meals they are advertising. The girl answering was rude asked to speak to a manager and she said he wasn't there. Then some guy got on the line saying he was the manager and clearly trained the person answering the phones in customer service skills because again was extremely rude. Like it is our problem we wanted the meals we see on their menu. Our office used to order from here all the time but since the new owners came on it has gone waaaay downhill. WE MISS TONY!!! Food quality is not as good but the people they have working there are just plain rude. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere they respect their customers and treat them kindly. Apparently if you want sauce on your pizza you have to mention that when ordering otherwise all you get is toppings! Yup that happened today. Ordered 5 pizzas for an early morning pick-up for a kid's birthday party (4th grade) and confirmed the order on Saturday for the Monday pick-up... go there Monday and no one is there.
