Dr. Banaria is excellent. It's simple to get set up with an appointment. Her staff is very nice and professional. Her office building is on the east side of Hollywood and well maintained. I didn't have notice any cleanliness issues. It was an easy appointment from start to finish, from taking x-rays to discussing my treatment plan and doing my cleaning. She feels like a breath of fresh air after some of the horror story dental offices in Beverly Hills I have been dealing with for the past few years. Very thankful I found her. I should have known this place would be a problem. First it took forever for someone to answer the phone I finally got a call back after 2 messages and calling 5 or 6x. I was persistent because it was close by, covered by insurance and the reviews were great. Once the lady called me back the appt was booked quickly. I was set to come in the week of Christmas. A few days before my appt I text the number listed to confirm they took my insurance and covered crowns. Someone texted me back and rudely said they didn't cover crowns. We went back and forth for several minutes on text only for him or her to say "well most of the time the insurance denies our request for crowns" and then said it doesn't matter because we don't have any appts open until next year. I told him/her I had an appt scheduled for later in the week. They turned around and said oh you must be going to the Hollywood location I'm at the West Covina location. Needless to say she gave me another number. Called them the lady said she would verify with my insurance and she'd she me at the appt. Appt day. I arrived 15 mins early and waited about 10 mins before going back and it was not Dr. Vivian Banaria who came in the room to see me. A guy came in he was nice but felt like he was rushing. He also didn't have a face shield over his mask and that made me a little uncomfortable since he was going to be all up in my mouth. He took some x-rays looked in my mouth said you have to get a crown we'll submit for it. The whole experience with him was about 6 mins!! Sitting here today wondering when they were going to call me about the crown because the tooth that needs it is starting to hurt. Called my insurance and was told they NEVER submitted for the crown! I've been going to Dr. Banaria for about 2 years now and there's really no other dentist I would recommend at this point. She is very thorough with her work and highly skilled. I'm very sensitive so I was so happy to discover that Dr. Banaria is gentle and doesn't rush. She explains very well what she'll do before she begins anything. I seem to have problem with getting numbing to work but she really takes her time to make sure my gums are really numb before starting her work with me.
